The staff, specifically Inez, are at the front desk. When you travel, your routine changes, and all your little conveniences from back home must be adjusted. A few things with the room took some maintenance, but Inez was on it from the word "go" to resolve any issues to my satisfaction. Furthermore, she willingly adjusted my hotel bill due to inconveniences beyond her control. Thank you for the teamwork ethic, and, more significantly, thank you, Inez, for your pleasantness, great sense of humor, and for doing well at your job.

Some minor hotel issues. Their in-house menu could be updated, and a continental breakfast would be greatly appreciated. Based upon my observations, it looked like the staff at American Airlines stayed there, and I'm sure they could definitely use a little nourishment to deal with those daily Karen (both male and female).

Seamless check-in with Mike, friendly and informative for my stay. It was late, and I needed rest from a long drive that day - they were able to offer me a late checkout to grab some extra sleep. The breakfast was nice. I was hoping for a buffet-style breakfast offering, but it was menu service. My server was prompt and friendly and the food was good, but priced as you'd expect a hotel meal. There was a small area for snacks and toiletry items and drinks - it was small, but covered most of the basics. The parking deck is attached to the hotel and was easily accessible. My room was very clean, well-appointed, and the air conditioning and heater worked well. The bathroom was clean and well-stocked with towels, washcloths, etc.. The television set had a great selection of channels. Most importantly, the floor was quiet and peaceful. I had a great view of downtown Charleston from my floor.

I'd suggest a continental or buffet-style for breakfast - if being charged extra for breakfast with your stay, there should be more value included in the meal, more food options, and buffet-options if you're extra hungry.

The location of this hotel is great. It is walking distance to restaurants and shops. We had a view of the river from our hotel room which was nice. There was a restaurant on Capitol Street called Pies and Pints. They had the most amazing pizza and I would highly recommend going there if you are in Charleston. They even let us order a large pizza & have 2 different types of pizza split in half on top. This way we got to try two different kinds which was awesome. They have a really unique spinning pizza oven that was built just for them.

We were there on a Thursday night which I guess must be kind of dead around there. The hotel restaurant, bar, and lobby were completely deserted so we ended up looking for dinner elsewhere. There isn't much to walk to other than Capitol Street where the shops & restaurants are.

The suite was a good size. Loved the separate living room in the suite to entertain. Beautiful waterfront view. The location was great. We were in walking distance to restaurants and bars and not from the state Capitol. There was a free concert ending upon our check-in and my family who arrived earlier got a chance to enjoy that.

When I first arrived no microwave was in my room. Also the phones were not working. I told the front desk and first they told me they could get me one in the morning, but after I told her I would need a discount she managed to find one that day. They also sent someone to the room and he at least fixed one phone. The other phone did not work. Couch was squeaky made noise everytime you sit on it. Ordered some wings at the sports bar in the hotel which were not cooked well. Didn't realize until we got back to the room to eat. Next time will check the order before I leave the establishment.

Sports Bar and Grill on 1st floor. Close to restaurants and Shops.

The rooms are tired and need total update. Cloth coveted couch from the 60's, scratches on 2x4 wood coffee table and a lot of retro from a time past. Tub shower with paint peeling from wall. Old indoor/outdoor carpet mixed with faux wood flooring. Old dark furniture and no luggage stands.

Front desk staff were very nice and helpful. Hotel was nice and our room had a beautiful view of the river. Bed was clean and comfortable. Excellent location to walk around downtown Charleston.

Bathroom, carpet and painting in the room need some renovation. Because of the weather we were forced to eat dinner at the restaurant and they were out of many items. The room wasn’t that cheap and we had to pay extra for parking. Breakfast wasn’t included but at least they offer free coffee downstairs.

Location is great, walking distance to cover the interesting part of town. Shuttle service to Amtrak station on request. Staff friendly and helpful. Free street car leaves just from around the corner.

Charging "Incidentals" basically doubles the credit card load! It takes 4-6 business days to clear! Included breakfast would have been nice, as there is not many places available around the hotel. Internet is basic, not better than a street hotspot.

There should be signs to the Restaurant that’s attached. Had to ask directions several times. No signs showing you you’re heading in the right direction. The tiny tray that goes on the coffee pot that holds the coffee bag in place was missing. I really wanted to try the coffee. It was quite dusty around the window, which I had a beautiful view of the river front. There should be a sign on the air conditioner saying to use the wall controls. Would save a brief panic and a call to the desk.

Breakfast was delicious. Many great selections

Bathroom needs better toilet paper, coffee service in room outdated. Keurigs with pods and creamer selections would be nice.

Bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet and comfortable. Bar is very good and the employees at the reception desk and the bar/restaurant were helpful and pleasant.

You need to find a way to make the bath tub/shower less slippery. I fell getting into the shower on Thursday evening, hitting my head on the shower wall and my leg on the tub. I could have been injured by fortunately was not. I’m hard-headed, I guess. The tub needs a rubber mat or some other mechanism to prevent slipping. It was entirely too slippery.
