After a long search and cancelling other bookings (because it's hard to find decent hotels with two beds in Ho Chi Minh city) we finally ended up booking Hoang Lan Hotel and it was worth every effort! It ticked all the boxes in terms of amenities and facilities but what stood out most for us was the hospitality and service! Ms. Lang who runs the hotel is such a lovely lady. She guided us through to book tours, find vegetarian restaurants and great massage places. A lovely elderly couple in the kitchen went out of their way to cater to our vegetarian needs and also make our young children comfortable. Although it was a hotel, for us it felt like a homestay. They took care of us so well!

Some reviews say the rooms are small but I don't think you can get any bigger in this busy city unless you're ready to shell out a lot more money.

We loved everything! The stuff was amazing and helpful. On our last day we had to leave early before breakfast started but the staff prepared it specifically for us and it wasn’t just fruits and coffee but a full meal course with eggs, dim sums, desserts, etc. Rooms are spacious and clean. I really loved the style and a cute balcony.

The hotel is situated in a great part of Ho Chi Minh in District 3, but walkable to District 1 and most of the tourist attractions. There is even a lovely restaurant directly opposite the hotel (Duong dong). The building itself is lovely with beautiful decor and high quality furniture. The owners are really friendly and attentive, always smiling and laughing, which makes you feel at home. The breakfast might just be the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had. There is so much choice and everything done extremely well. You can have eggs cooked to your liking, have a delicious broth and noodles, peanut butter on toast, yoghurt, cereal and delicious fruit, tea and coffee. There is something for everyone! 10/10 experience here. Thank you.

I liked that it is in a quiet area, and after a very noisy day in Ho Chi Minh, you can rest in peace.

Very nice and kind staff, rooms are extremely clean, and the bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Location is great, in District 3, near many attractions. Most importantly, the hotel is positioned in a small alley, and during the night, there are no street sounds, so great sleep is guaranteed! Breakfast is also nice, with some fresh things being cooked for you (pho or eggs).

Breakfast is very nice, but lacks variety. If you're staying longer, you might get tired of eating the same things.

Firstly, as video-call stable wifi is something I always need for work, I can confirm that this hotel had a good connection for work during our stay. It's not directly on a busy road so this helps regarding noise. Really lovely staff, very comfortable bed and tasty phó for breakfast. There's a lift if you need one, they accept all forms of payment, including USD cash - NEW bills, it should be noted. It's about a 20-minute walk to Notre Dame Cathedral/book street, therefore walkable to Ben Thanh Market; there are numerous food options in the vicinity.

My wife would have appreciated a bit more of an extensive international selection for breakfast.

The room was always cleaned every single day and it smells AMAZING 🤩 The staff is always nice and friendly, we could leave our luggages after our check out. The location is super close to District 1. It is a quiet neighborhood and it's easy to sleep. The aircon is cold and the bed is super comfy. The size of the room is also big enough for 3 people to fit and to open all luggages. I love that they have slippers in the room also and they always restock water bottles every day. The breakfast is the same every day but it is good (pho, croissant, breads, juices, bacon, sausages, dumplings, etc.) They have an elevator too so you don't need to use the stairs. It is a quaint, well-maintained hotel. I liked my stay here. The wifi is also very decent.

Great Hotel with reasonable price! Staff are very friendly and nice, and breakfast was very good. It is located 15min walk to the center of city, but very calm. You can find various kinds of restaurants, Circle-K, Family-mart easily in 1 min - 10 min walk. We got special arrangement for late check out till 8-9PM, with reasonable price. Thank you very much.

Very friendly staff. Always happy and welcoming. I believe it is run by a family. The location was great and the rooms clean, modern and comfortable. The hotel is a bit away from the main road so there was no noise what so ever during the night. ATM and convenience store just across the road and many good restaurants in the neighbourhood. It was worth it not staying in the most busy part of the city. I could walk down town in about 30 minutes or take a Grab for 15 minutes ($2). Happy to stay here again for my next visit.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful. We got to check-in early which was also very nice after a looooong travel day from Finland. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The room had an easy-to-use safe and a small fridge. Air conditioning and wifi worked well. Breakfast was good with some coffee and juice, toast, jams and fruits, plus they made some eggs to order and pho soup every morning. As a bonus the hotel staff had a dog, Leggo, who was also a part of the hotel family. <3 Nice small hotel with good location. Several nice cafés, spas, restaurants and minimarts were a short walk away.

The cleaning of the rooms started a bit earlier than what we are used to. Some mornings we woke up to the cleaning sounds of other rooms already around 7/8 am, which is a bit early if you want to sleep in.
