Everything was amazing, staff super friendly, pub was lovely and the food they had was delicious. Beer on tap nicely priced and the general atmosphere was relaxing. Good location and off the main road Room was nice and overall clean, bed was super comfy and the aircon was a welcome treat. Plenty of space for one person in my room and i also enjoyed having access to complimentary tea and coffee in the room. Overall great stay and perfect for 1 night or 2, would recommend. Not far from Norwich but would suggest using a car as its in the Norfolk countryside.

Some of the corners in the bathroom and under toilet seat still had some residual hair and grime from previous use, overall cleaniness across everywhere was immaculate however. One thing i will point out in my room was the bright green light on the ceiling, you don't notice it in the day but once it gets dark it stands out, i guess you can't do anything with it as its tied into the fire alarm system but it is super bright at night. I could see blemishes and paint chip marks where people have tried to cover it before. Finally the Wifi signal to the room was pretty bad, however a staff member did confirm they were having issues with this and a engineer was scheduled to come out.

I took my wife here for two nights, to celebrate her birthday and, from start to finish, the whole experience was faultless. Easy to find on Google Maps, we drove into the village to find the pub, which looked good from the outside - it continued to deliver when we entered. The staff greeted us and were happy to show us to our room for the next two nights. (Pics to follow) Food is served in both the bar and the restaurant (booking advised) and is absolutely exceptional. Don't expect 'cheap' as that is not on the menu - Quality comes at a cost. I couldn't find one negative, and, I did look! Will definitely be back 😃

We can't find anything negative about our stay.

Breakfast was very tasty, hot, freshly cooked with good quality ingredients and delivered with a smile. Coffee was fresh and good quality. My room was kindly changed due to the distance from the pub/restaurant as I use a wheelchair. I think it was a little bigger than I would have been allocated as it also had a sofa bed. The rooms are all on the ground floor so I did not need to use a lift.

I found it particularly tricky to navigate the path to and from the restaurant due to large stone gravel having spilled over from the car park onto the path. I spent several minutes on both evenings and mornings clearing gravel with my good foot. I understand that the pub clientele do not realise the implications for wheelchair users when they park so close to the narrow path and deposit gravel on it however I would expect it to be cleared in preparation for a wheelchair user who has messaged ahead. Although there is a designated Disabled parking space it is only the width of a car so there is gravel to navigate around the car.

The staff went far and beyond. They helped me with almost everything that I asked for. Very young but absolutely well mannered, friendly and respectful. Rosa and her colleagues made me feel at home. Dinner was amazing. Rosa helped me with the choice of fish and chips and I loved it. ± In the morning, on the 4th, I needed to take my breakfast with me as I was running out of time, so the waitress went and discussed it with the chef and my food was packed for me very neatly. I was absolutely blown away by the quality and taste of the food. Everything tasted fresh. The service by all the staff members that I met was absolutely excellent. Thank you.

The uncouth / uncivilised drunk men who were drinking outside near the entrance of the bar/hotel reception who shouted "and there comes his wife" then started laughing. That experience made me feel very vulnerable and afraid as I was alone in a new town far away from home. I did not report that to the young and absolutely wonderful staff to avoid making things worse.

The rooms were of various sizes and prices and were all clean, comfortable and very quiet. The rain shower was superb and it was lovely to have the option of air conditioning. The breakfast each day was wonderful and very filling and we had a meal on our first night. The menu options were good and the food cooked superbly and of good proportions. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future.

It would have been good to have more plug sockets and larger mirrors in the cheaper rooms for hair styling, make up application etc.

The room was lovely and the sound-proofing was incredible. I never heard a peep from the rooms either side during the whole stay despite the gentleman on one side having a loud deep voice. Breakfast was delicious with locally source bacon and sausages which you could really taste the difference. I ate in the restaurant one night and would highly recommend the food. Very generous portions for the main meal, starter and dessert were a more manageable size. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and it was a good base for exploring south Norfolk. North Norfolk was about an hour away so I did drive home via a stop-off there too.

Some USB charging sockets would have been nice but it wasn't a problem.

Evening as well as breakfast dining was good & the staff went out of their way to provide for my rapeseed allergy via my pre-ordering a dish from the dinner menu. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and everything very clean. Parking was ample with security cameras. Nice quiet neighbourhood in pleasant village and yet handy for main road trasnport.

My only negative was that the rooms are all bungalow/ground floor and mine faced a gravelled public driveway to an overflow pub car park. The noise and pollution from cars passing and people on gravel close to the window meant that I felt I could not open my windows for fresh air or open my curtains for being overlooked. However there was an air conditioning/heating unit in the room so I could have used that with the windows and curtains closed.

Lovely traditional pub with rooms which are outside in what I assume were once stables. Despite the close proximity of the pub our room was very quiet and overlooked a lovely garden. It was very relaxing to enjoy a drink on our own little patio at the end of the day. The room was very comfortable and had everything that you could need. The shower was very roomy and had good pressure. Breakfast was delicious.

The green light on the ceiling which I believe acts as lighting in the event of an emergency made the room as bright as day. Honningham Buck had addressed this though by providing eye masks. It didn't stop us from getting a good night's sleep.

The breakfast was really nice with lots of variety, and it was served really quickly. The staff were very nice and friendly. The room was spacious, and the bathrooms was a good size with a nice powerful shower and bath. The bed was comfy with extra pillows and cushions. There was plenty of storage space in the room to pack your belongings away.

There was a lack of cigarette bins for smokers outside. The room was only refreshed once at the beginning of our stay, even though we stayed for several days, so we were left with dirty bins, towels and cups. The water cups weren’t clean on arrival which put us off using them. There was parking to the front and rear to the location, but on one occasion the car park was so full we couldn’t park and had to park the car further away down the road, it would be nice if the rooms had a designated parking space.

We've stayed here so many times that it speaks for itself. The accommodation is superb, big, clean, comfortable rooms, excellent bathrooms. We've stayed in every room and there isn't a bad one. Breakfast was very good and the restaurant is also very good (although we have recently had a disappointing experience when standards were lower than previously experienced).

There really is nothing apart from value for money. It is now getting a bit expensive for where it is situated, so much so we stayed elsewhere the last time we came to Norfolk. I hope they don't price themselves out of the market.
