Credit to Nick and small Team who were drafted in from Yorkshire to manage a very challenging staffing issue at this time .They insured our booking was honoured in very challenging circumstances .Credit to them . Please insure they receive acknowledgment and gratitude . The rooms are very well equipped and comfortable ,accommodated in chalets at the rear .Fabulous location ,AND Parking . The pub has huge potential and deserving more tlc and commitment from the brewery .
Needs commitment from a skilled and dedicated team .

Easy check in with readily available staff. Good facilities and a wide range of local cafes, pubs and resturaunts. Our room was right up in the roof space, it was large, clean and comfortable. Surprisingly quiet, the overflights of landing planes wasn't too noticable (a problem for any location you chose to stay in around here).
Car park was a little tricky to find but very tucked away and felt safe. Everywhere is under the approach flight path into Birmingham Airport so there were frequent jets overhead during the day, at might only the quieter flights are allowed to land so very much quieter.

The property itself is lovely, great atmosphere, very welcoming. The room was huge!! Very well appointed, plenty of pillows, temperature spot on! Staff at check in really friendly and helpful in directing to the car park and other info.
Not a dislike but I didn’t know Knutsford was as bustling as it is! The road that The Cross Keys is on is full of lovely eateries and bars etc that were very busy on a Saturday evening. As such there was quite a lot of noise into the early hours from those out enjoying the night. It wasn’t a problem for me but if you are a light sleeper or with kids it’s worth knowing or asking for a room at the back.

Great location in the heart of Knutsford. Decent sized room with direct external access. On site parking.
Not a dislike, more a comment. Our impression was that the Cross Quays was more a pub with rooms than a hotel. We ate out for dinner and breakfast. The pub was heaving (six nations on TV) and no sign of any food available in the evening. Two couples seemed to be having breakfast but it was never offered to us - we were on a room only deal That wasn't a problem, there are lots of places nearby which serve breakfast. At £145 , room only a bit on the pricey side but just about worth it for the location.

Excellent location in the centre of town with plenty of parking. The rooms were really spacious and comfortable.
There are nespresso machines in the rooms with an empty box of pods. When enquired we were told they didn’t do pods anymore! However the manager that day went out and bought us coffees! On check in the staff could have been more informative. The keys were handed over but no directions given of how to find the rooms. Asked about parking and was told where it was but not informed I had to register my number plate and how. No information given about breakfast.

We were visiting The Cheese Yard, which was directly opposite The Cross Keys Hotel. The location was perfect and free parking, that's a plus in itself! The hotel had so much character and felt welcoming as soon as we arrived. We were early and went in to enquire about the carpark. The man behind the bar said our room was ready and gave us the key. Our room, in the eaves was perfect for my husband, myself, and our son. It was clean, warm and had everything we needed. We have already recommended to family and we will definitely return.
Absolutely nothing!

Centrally located but rooms at the back were quiet. We were passing through for one night on the way to the Lake District and met some relatives for dinner at the pub. Friendly and helpful staff Dinner was reasonably priced pub food. Guest car park available on an unreserved basis and potentially difficult to find but we were provided with timely precise instructions which were invaluable.
We had searched for dog friendly accommodation and specified we were bringing the dog but were given an internal second floor room which was advertised as not mobility nor pet friendly! So I was up at 3 am and 6am to take the dog out via windy staircases…fortunately the streets and shops were well lit even at these social hours.

The hotel is in an excellent location in the town centre it has its own car park at the rear. The room was well appointed spotlessly clean, very comfy bed and continental breakfast is served in the bar. The breakfast was rather basic, though it was all fresh and enjoyable.
The hotel car park is a little challenging to find being in the street behind the hotel down a narrow side road with no sign at the entrance it would be helpful if a sign was erected to make life easier.

The hotel is in a great location and right on the doorstep of all the amenities and Tatton Park. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The room was spacious and had the usual facilities. Rooms a little worn but fully functional and offer exceptional value for money. Breakfast was included in the price of the stay. We opted not to have the continental offering and had the full English instead. A nice hearty and tasty breakfast which definitely set you up for the day

Staff very accommodating , onsite free parking, in the centre of town close to restaurants and amenities but nice and quiet, rooms are well appointed.
The whole place seems to be in a bit of a pickle, no reception area, and staff although kind are difficult to tie down. The heater in my room was not working to full capacity .
