The general manager and staff went above and beyond to help us. We also noticed this manager getting stuck in as it were all over the hotel and helping in every area, he deserves commending for his helpful attitude. Manchester is not the city I remember and we were struggling for parking or assistance when the manager offered us his space. Also seeing the distress on my families faces due to the city and its inhabitants, the staff were quick to give my children various forms of entertainment. I would say that in a city that has rapidly declined into chaos, the Novotel and its staff were a comforting relief and break from the stress we felt.

The staff here were great and the bed was very comfortable. Spacious room and good shower. The bar was enjoyable and it was a really good location for exploring Manchester. THere was a mix up with our room on arrival which was not ready when it should have been. THe staff were very apologetic, sorted us an alternative immediately and gave us a voucher for a free drink in the bar.

There is a carpark right next to the hotel but it is expensive. The weekend we stayed was when Oasis were playing in Manchester so as to be expected prices were high as rooms were in demand. That said, we had travelled around Yorkshire in the previous week and stayed in several hotels. This one was by far the most expensive and did not include breakfast in the price and the refreshments offered in the room were poor in comparison to all the other places we stayed.

We stopped in the Queen Room. The bathroom was luxurious, great lighting and the rainfall shower is great. Bed and the pillows were comfy, and the room in general was very nice too. Great size TV, and the hotel itself is in a good location. Would definitely stay again.

Iron ruined a shirt, was hoping it would come out after a wash back home but hasn't. Didn't notice it had a black mark on the ironing imprinted on the shirt when I used it. Only other minor thing was the picture in the room had broke and was hanging on my a screw, which reception came and got as didn't want them thinking it was ourselves. Don't think bathroom lights are in the best postion personally but that's being picky.

Was a step up from where I usually stay and rooms were great

I booked a queen size room with bed settee and I was with a male friend When we checked in guy on reception told us that he’s upgraded us to executive room So when we got in room there was only 1 double bed so we were straight back to reception. Luckily I had original booking on phone and then l told him we need two separate beds it did take a while for him to find room and we were a bit concerned . He finally found us normal size room with 2 single beds It was nice room however it wasn’t what I originally booked We did accept it and it ended up being a decent stay

Location is perfect for a city centre stay, next to Manchester's Chinatown and its many interesting shops and excellent restaurants. A wonderful, warm welcome on arrival from both members of staff on duty - smooth check-in. Room was excellent! Larger than expected, everything looked new, many nice touches. The buffet breakfast was very good, a wide selection including great coffee, juices, cereals, full English, pastries, fresh fruit, etc. The Novotel will be where I'm staying the next time that I'm in Manchester.

Room was a lovely big size for 3 off us 1 adult 2 kids.great room even for me facing my car on the street was a bonus 😀 only stayed 1 night so just slept and went next morning .. definitely will be going for a proper weekend away again soon. Staff at check in was lovely smile on the door as soon as walked in seen straight away place looked lovely..xx

Apart from cosmetics scratch on the side, lamp broken/missing part reading light.. not a bother to me but could get it fix.. that's all really as say not really spent enough time in the room to notice any negatives.

Location fantastic, breakfast great, staff so helpful and friendly, reception and bar - really recommend. I dont usually bother doing these things, so make of that what you will, right beside chinatown and the most amazing restaurants possible - worth it for that alone. But again the staff were so helpful - nothing was to much trouble - a really well run place - they seem to have a great culture which much mean the management are have decent also.

Nice room but some staining on sofa and space near mirror. Lovely bathroom. Comfortable bed. Good bar area. Nice breakfast but wasn’t topped up quickly enough for the amount of people.

Most definitely the price. Booked on free cancellation but never thought to check if price had reduced then found I could have booked same room for £70 less. Wouldn’t have realised if I hadn’t had some issues at check in. Will know for the future. Lack of makeup/ shaving mirror. Quality of pillows. Staining already mentioned earlier.

Arrived before check-in which was not ideal for hotel, but due to flight ect they went out of their way to give our room priority to get ready for us. Rooms a bit small (being picky) as a family of 4 but we weren't there spend our day in the room. Room cleaned every day with fresh towels and beds changed. Staff are excellent and should commended as they are the face of Novotel!! Food is fantastic, breakfast is superb 👌 if you find a fault..... that's on you!!!!! Brilliant location for trams or buses. Loved our time staying here!!

Pasquale at the front desk was very personable and friendly, helpful and professional. The room was a great size and the shower worked very well. The location is fantastic for the centre of Manchester.

The phone charger points next to one side of the bed didn't work. They did on the other. There was a small hole in the wall of the toilet which looks like was formed because of the design of the door and handle. That should be filled or covered with a bounce mat or something. The extra bed was good for a 10 year old but the sheet kept slipping off.
