Everything on this occasion was absolutely perfect. Staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and to feel at ease. Due to the shower overflowing I had to use the towels to clean it up. Reception brought me some fresh towels to my room which I thought was very kind of them to do
The shower overflowing was more an inconvenience than anything else. Also caught the night staff walking around the corridor listening into peoples rooms. I saw him with his ears literally against one door. He continued walking when he saw me but as I approached the door, the guests in that room were ‘having a good time’ making lots of noise. So if you’re staying at this hotel and you decide to make love, expect the members of staff to be listening outside the room

The historic yet beautiful deco sets you back in time so definitely romantic and at the same time practical. The staff offered us an upgrade herself which was so kind of here and we got to experience the suite room which was amazing . When I come back I'm coming back to that x loved it. One side my hubby fell asleep whilst the other half of the room I marked my students work. Hehe
Veg sausages were not ready alongside the breakfast. We have to ask twice and when they arrived we had already finished.

After reading all the poor reviews/ratings I wasn't expecting the britannia hotel to be anything great, i booked it simply because it was right next to the national express coach station which we needed to head for the following day, I booked a double room with a window and upon check in with Jazeel he was extremely polite and upgraded us to an executive suite with a 4 poster bed, we couldn't believe our luck, it was a birthday to remember for my partner, the hotel is very grand with lots of history, the room was beautiful and probably had more space than a London apartment yes it was that big, staff were fantastic, not sure why it's had so many bad reviews, I would definitely stay again, big thank you to Jazeel on reception

Perfect location, kind and welcoming staff. Hotel is older but it serves it’s purpose.
Walls do need a touch up. There are a lot of scratches and holes openly covered and then repainted with different colour paint.

It was the 2nd time in this hotel and the pillows were very firm I like a soft pillow so I bought myself one, obviously some people like a firm pillow 1st time in the hotel the pillow was fine..the hotel can be noisy I thought first time was a one off with noisy neighbour but was the same this time round,if you are someone who likes to sleep and not here slamming doors and teens hanging about carrying on in landing at from 1/30 till 2/30 then it's fine..I suffer from anxiety and theses things make me uncomfortable.apart from that it's a lovely hotel with lovely staff and facilities,I just like a quiet hotel at night

Staff were lovely especially Jazeel that checked us in he was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a beautiful building with lovely features. Nice and clean bed was comfortable decent size room and a full size bath. For what we payed it was a bargain
I wasn't a fan of breakfast but my husband was happy with the choices available. No big light in bedroom it was all lamps it made doing make up a bit awkward.

The property has a grand entrance. Absolutely stunning but that’s where it ends. Hotel staff standing outside rooms listening in to antics inside the rooms. Rather than listening in, either ask the people to keep the noise down or go and join them. Anyone wants to see proof of this message me on WhatsApp, 07851864523
Requested a wake up call at 5.30 upon check in. This was agreed with the staff, but I didn’t receive the wake up call. I requested again the day after and again agreed but received no wake up call. Also booking.com offer a service to message reception. Upon doing so they did not respond to any of my messages regarding extra towels.

I liked the central location and the overall interior. The room was better than I expected which was a pleasant surprise and the tv had a decent amount of volume which is becoming rare these days.
When checking in there were four members of staff behind the counter, but only two were dealing with checking in staff which meant my wait to check in was approx 8 minutes. After my night out on the town I wanted a nightcap in the hotel bar, the 1st security guy was very welcoming and pointed me in the direction of the bar, where a second much less friendly security guy said the bar was closing, as I walked out the 1st guy asked why I hadn't gone into the bar and shook his head when I explained, not very good. However when I was checked in, the lady that checked me in was excellent, very friendly and informative when I asked her for directions.

It was a perfect location for meeting family in several locations, walking and tram connections and exploring all the interesting parts of the city. Canals, prison, Arnside, Chinese Quarter, Gay Village, Arenas, and 5 min walk from Piccadilly Station, with great bus access to farther flung places like Stretford etc. Bus and tram stops pretty much outside this hotel. Staff were great - very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was OK - could have been better for the money. Just felt it had been prepared earlier and kept warm a bit. But it was perfectly adequate and we left for the days exploring fully charged. Perhaps I should have got up earlier. The bathroom had some minor works needed. (I put the mirror back on the wall properly on my arrival, but I am a bit of a DIY pedant)
