Upon arrival, the staff were really lovely and check in was really easy. The room we stayed in was really nice, clean and well stocked tea/coffee station. We didn't stay in the room for long periods of time, so it was really handy to have a door card to say to skip cleaning, as it would have been a waste of time for the cleaners. It was easy getting food at the hotel bar, as well as drinks. There was a variety of drink and food selections. We stayed at the hotel for the purposes of comic con in the city center for the day and exploring Manchester for the next. The hotel is situated in a great location and it was easy to get to anywhere within the city by just walking.

The room was big enough for 2 people and luggage for the 5 nights we stayed in. Very nice, kind and helpful staff. Always attending with a smile and greeting you when coming in or out. Gay friendly and very close by walk to every major location in Manchester but also well connected with busses and 2 train stations with direct connection to the airport

Gay friendly and very close by walk to every major location in Manchester but also well connected with busses and 2 train stations with direct connection to the airport The bathroom could be a little bit more modern and have a better air suction. Also the light switch should be inside and not outside the room or the door pointing in another direction because in the night, when you turn on the light, the whole room is illuminated. The feeling of a space capsule is a little bit claustrophobic but at least the lights are flattering.

The bed was extremely comfortable to sleep in. The shower, perfect with almost instant hot water instead of twiddling about with the handle. Something I have experienced with many hotels. If, like me you need to do some work while here the desk is situated in exactly the right spot with the right amount of natural light coming through. Again, something you don’t always get with every hotel in Manchester
It’s an unusual idea having to go to the hotel next door to have your breakfast. I would say it probably looks better if you serve up your own. However, the breakfast at Novotel was superb so I can’t complain that much

After researching using online mapping systems the location turned out to be exactly where we needed to be to celebrate a family occasion at a nearby restaurant. We did not want to pay big money for an overnight bed. The facility suited are needs perfectly. A very good experience and we liked the 1200hrs checkout as standard.
We got what we expected for the price. Nothing to dislike. If there was a criticism it would be the limitations of the bar products available and the price charged but bearing in mind this is a city centre location with a 24hrs bar for residents the overheads must be phenomenal, so 'want the service, pay the price'

We were expecting a very basic room as it was Ibis and we have found them no frills in the past. This one was very comfortable, a reasonable size room, the bathroom maybe a little small but otherwise it was very good for the price. An excellent buffet breakfast was included and you couldn't fault the variety and quality of the food. The hotel was in an excellent location, walking distance to everything and yet very quiet due to double glazed windows.
Maybe the bathroom may be a little cramped if you are a largish person but this was fine for us.

The room was nice and comfortable just right, towels changed every day. The hotel's central location is perfect for exploring the city both on foot and using public transport. The hotel bar is available 24/7 which is great. Breakfast is in a neighboring hotel and was sufficient but boring (the same every day) for a multi-day visit. It is great that it is possible to store luggage in a safe place in the hotel after checking out of the hotel until departure to the airport.
Breakfast is a bit boring (the same every day) for a multi-day visit.

We stayed in this hotel for New Year's Eve. Located by the gay village, it was the perfect location for a fun night out. The room is cosy with everything you could need. The people at the front desk were very welcoming. The price value was also pretty decent compared to other hotels nearby. Loads of places to eat too. We will definitely come back next time we are in Manchester!
There was a bit of confusion during the night of New Year's Eve. A real monsoon was happening outside, and a lot of people seemed to have found refuge in the hotel's reception. When we asked the front desk employees if we could order some food from the restaurant, we were told that there was no service going on when the pizzas were 24/24. It was a bit unfortunate.

The position of the hotel is perfect to just walk around Manchester, take a train to visit other cities and feel like a local. The room was comfortable and very well insulated from the noise that could be happening outside. Maybe some furnitures of the bathroom are a bit old or partially damaged but nothing that stops you from enjoying a good shower or using a very clean toilet :) I am extremely satisfied with my choice and I would like to remark in a special way how lovely and kind was the receptionist from Barcelona!!! She helped me a lot with recommending me places to eat, to visit and how to organize my days in Manchester. I would definetely book again there if I come back,
Some parts of the bathroom were a bit damaged or old so they looked ''dirty'' but they were not

I have a bad hip so beds can be a problem but, this was very comfortable. Very close to where I needed to be yet still within easy reach of the station. The staff were excellent. Very cheerful and very helpful. Will keep this hotel on mind if I have call to visit that area again.
The step down from the bathroom, although not very high, I found uncomfortable when my hip stiffened up mainly at night. I'm sure had I mentioned it to staff they would have found some way to help, but I was only staying for two nights and it was more of an inconvenience rather than a huge problem.

Modern designed large room with adequate sun exposure, rooms are cleaned daily, staff is nice, there's an ironing room, bar/restaurant in the lobby
My planned dates of travel had been changed and I had to arrive a day later. I tried to contact customer service about this issue and they said that I had to arrive on the check-in date, or manually change the dates (I wasn't able to without paying a significant amount) even though I had already paid for my stay. It was resolved in the end thanks to the help of the staff, but I wish they had a faster customer service or a better online website.
