We arrived at around 1.30pm to the hotel, the lady at reception was amazing and let us know that if we wait another 30 mins we could have early check in , or we can simply store our luggage and come back at 3pm. Unfortunately i didn't catch her name but she made us feel so welcome and special , even recommended us some restaurants and places to go ,gave us all the information we needed and was ever so friendly yet professional . The room was wonderful , bathroom was excellent and well equipped with towels, shower and hair wash , basically anything you need (plus a hair dryer). The bed was very large and comfortable , honestly nothing to fault . Sadly the TV wasn't a smart TV however we managed to connect the phone to Bluetooth and that's all we needed , only fault is no mini fridge but come on now , for the price and location the place was amazing without it . Definitely would return

Absolutely fantastic stay – the hotel exceeded all of my expectations! Everything was spotless and perfectly maintained, which is always my number one priority when choosing a hotel. Daily housekeeping is available, and everything feels clean and fresh at all times. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and the whole room looked modern and new. The location couldn’t be better – everything is within walking distance. We came for a concert at the AO Arena, and it was only about a 10-minute walk, which was perfect. What truly made the stay unforgettable was the staff. Every single person we met was extremely friendly, helpful, and always smiling – from the reception and bar staff to the housekeeping team. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they really made us feel welcome. If I ever come back to Manchester, this will definitely be my first choice of hotel!

Room was nice and clean staff really friendly bed was comfortable and a great choice of pillows 2 firm and 2 really soft to choose from in the room location was great for the event I was attending (Manchester pride) as it wasn't too close to hear it through the night but close enough to get to easily enough

Didn't like the floor to ceiling window as when I opened curtains on a morning I always felt a little uncomfortable (feeling like I was gonna fall through) maybe it ls just me. Would have preferred having a teaspoon instead of just stirrers as I bring my own sugar and tea as I drink alot and saves me going to reception for more all the time. Only issue with bed is mattress doesn't quite fit as there is a large gap between headboard and mattress but probs me been a bit nitpicky

The atmosphere and decor are to my liking, this was a good start. But the staff couldnt be more helpful, the cleanliness of the room was a big plus. I liked that we were high up although slightly gutted we didnt get a room with a view. But thats not the hotels fault. The breakfast spread was ideal for me as Im not a massive foodie at breakfast. They provide a nice continental with various cereals, breads, pastries, meats and cheeses. I love that most rooms come with king/queen size beds as standard. Overall it was a lovely place to stay for the price I paid.

My only grip was the shower wasnt a waterfall shower, as other Motel one's ive stayed at had these. But that really isnt an issue, was just a slight disappointment.

I loved the decor of the hotel. I loved how clean everything was. everything was tidy as well. It absolutely exceeded my expectations of this hotel. I thought it was going to be like a hostel situation but it was nothing like it. I absolutely enjoyed my stay and I will stay in this hotel again.

What could have been better for me was the breakfast. I understand that it was a continental buffet. I misunderstood because I was expecting a full English breakfast; however that's my fault. I understand that the facilities may not be available to host a full breakfast buffet as well. However for me, I would have loved that and would have made me rate my stay to be a 10.

My first time staying in a Motel One hotel, but it won’t be the last. Location was great (just 2 minutes walk from St Peter Sq tram stop & 10-15 minute walk to Market St /Arndale Centre/Exchange Sq shops. Room was compact but well equipped; king sized comfortable bed, small safe & kettle with tea & coffee (but no fridge/mini bar). Room was quite warm (it was a very warm day) but air con was adjustable & found out in the morning that the bedroom window actually opened. Very quiet room (though that may not have been the case had I opened the window) ; I am a light sleeper & was not disturbed. No view to speak of, but I wasn’t expecting one given the location & price. Bathroom was compact but well equipped with a large walk-in shower, although the shower tray had quite a lot of “give” , & didn’t feel particularly robust. If I were staying more than a few nights I’d look to upgrade to a larger room as it would be quite cramped with a large case (although the hotel might store a case with the other left luggage) , but for one night it was fine. Great to have an onsite bar, especially as a neighbouring bar turned us away at 11pm after our show (citing a private party, despite the fact that the venue was half empty !) and bar prices were comparable to elsewhere in the city. Great to be able to leave our luggage after checking out & collect it later, for no extra charge. All staff encountered were very friendly & helpful. Deducted one star as the lift was partially out of action when we arrived (could only operate from second floor upwards); not the hotel staff fault, but very inconvenient as I’m currently recovering from knee surgery & had to negotiate several flights of stairs). The lift had been repaired later in the evening. I’d say the room was a comparable price to the Premier Inn, although the room was possibly a little smaller, but felt more comfortable ( Premier Inn rooms can feel a bit “stark”).

Only one lift which was partially out of order when we arrived (could only operate from 2nd floor upwards). Very inconvenient as I’m currently recovering from knee surgery & had to negotiate several flights of stairs. Not sure what would have happened if I’d been in a wheelchair.

I like the room. It was cute. Big enough for someone staying there for one night.

I didn’t like that the room was extremely stuffy. I also found the TV on, so I wasn’t sure if it was left on by mistake or what. I also didn’t like how the guy at reception wasn’t alarmed when I went downstairs to tell him my key was able to open another room. He just reactivated my key to my room number without checking what could have been the cause. That made me very unsettled and I honestly didn’t sleep too well thinking what if someone will be able to open my room, especially because I was travelling alone.

I recently had an exceptional stay at this hotel, where the staff truly excelled. I left a note with a special request, and they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, particularly Sam at reception, who made my daughter feel incredibly special. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and boasts an ideal location in the heart of Manchester, close to all amenities. The staff provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and activities, enhancing our visit. With the tram right at our doorstep and fantastic restaurants nearby, I will definitely choose this hotel for all future visits to Manchester 🐝

The closeness to the city centre and transport accessibility. Once in hotel, provided with room card; check in booking was easy. The room was clean, essentials like hairdryer and towels were provided. The bed itself was comfortable to sleep in, durable mattress with clean sheets. Entertainment like television in room is provided. The chosen floor, second floor, front facing room for a Queen size is decent for solo and couple travellers. Heating can altered using a digital thermostat. Provided with balcony with safety door adjustment (as it’s high rise build). Staff are polite when support is needed.

I wish the room provided a chiller for drinks as cold drinks like orange juice, when open needs to stay refrigerated (I don’t necessarily expect a drinking service). Not a criticism: but next time I will engage with the bar and dining area that the hotel provides [Only stayed for two nights].
