The male bar tender aged about 26 on the 11th July around 11.30pm who asked my son what he would like to drink he then smirked at him and said I don’t think I want to serve you!

I had the pleasure of staying at The Midland in June 2025, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, the hotel’s historic charm and grandeur made me feel like I was stepping into a Manchester icon. The building itself is stunning, with its beautiful architecture and timeless elegance. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout my stay, always ready to assist with a smile. My room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, with every detail carefully thought out to ensure a relaxing stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept wonderfully. The dining options at the hotel were outstanding — breakfast was a delight each morning, with fresh and delicious selections that set the perfect tone for the day. The location is also unbeatable, right in the heart of Manchester, making it easy to explore the city’s highlights within walking distance. It’s rare to find a hotel that perfectly combines classic elegance with modern comfort, but The Midland does just that. My stay was so memorable and enjoyable that I have already decided to come back again in August — because when you find a place that feels this special, you simply can’t stay away.

The room was amazing, clean bedding, clean room, bathroom. Breakfast was pure luxury - bacon, eggs, salmon, fresh breads and pastry, pots of coffee and tea, fresh juice, little jam jars, toast, cereal. Staff were first class and helpful. Staff looked after our cases before room was ready so we could go shopping. Customer service was pure luxury. Made you feel like film stars. Train inspired hotel with such fantastic surroundings. Thank you Midland, your décor, pool, sauna, food and rooms were the best. Better than Dubai.

That I couldn't stay longer. But we will be back I promise.

junior suite windows had cobwebs and dead spiders on (personally not bothered but girlfriend got scared upon seeing the spiders)

The hotel lobby smells divine! I believe they used to sell this scent as a candle but no longer do which is a shame. The hotel was in a really good location. Our room was a good size, very comfortable and clean. We were able to upgrade our room on arrival for a really fair price. The Elemis toiletries were a welcome addition.

The family swim times were quite restrictive, my daughter is 16 and not a young child but as she is under 18 met the criteria for family swim times, which were full and we were unable to book! We also didn’t have a good outlook from our window it was of the inner court yard and we had numerous pigeons outside our window.

I stayed here for my 40th bday with my husband- I had informed the hotel that it was my bday and wow did they make a fuss of me. Was greeted at check in by Poppy who was charm in itself, she advised me we had been upgraded to a suite and gave us 2 drink tokens to use at the champagne hotel bar, fabulous! When we got to the room there was a lovely birthday card and posh chocs for me- such a thoughtful thing to do. I’ve stayed at the Midland a few times now and it’s my favourite hotel. Comfy beds, great showers, the staff are so charming and accommodating. Breakfast is brilliant and so much choice. Location is perfect as you are so central. The best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, 5 stars! Thank you to the team who made my bday that little bit more special.

Location. Decent welcome on arrival. Ideal for the shopping to be had, we were shopping for Wedding items and MoB outfit so wanted a luxury stay. Room on higher floor with walk in shower as requested on booking. Spa access as a resident is very welcome. The staff member we met there ,he was very friendly and so was the young gentleman who delivered our room service. Having room service available. Concierge services to leave baggage at start and end of stay. Fabulous cocktails

Service charge added automatically, I know it's a luxury hotel and we would tip but it was pre added already.Choice preferred.

The atmosphere in the bar area with the music was so calming and amazing. Service getting a accessible room was very easy and my sister enjoyed the spa room

- Unsure if at the bar area was table service or go up to the bar to order. We were told different things at different times so not clear - No hooks on the back of the main bathroom doors to hang your bag (bathroom was amazing looking and clean!!!) - I forgot my face wipes and noticed that the hotel offered extra amenities but not face wipes or Kirby grips. Honestly these are tweaks and something that would be amazing to add but even if you didn’t it is still a 10/10 and we will be booking again. It’s just a personal preference

I have stayed in the midland 2 twice before this time staff are always friendly and welcoming specially at the bar we met a girl that was working there the last couple of times we stayed she still works in the bar the beds in the room were extremely comfortable and the location is dead centre of the city for shopping or drinks

Were arrived early that Saturday morning on the first flight from Dublin into Manchester when we arrived at the hotel understandable that there wasn't an early check in so we left the bags in and went out for awhile we came back at around 2.30 check in wasn't till 3pm the room we were given was very dated and the hallway up to the room looked like it was in need of a bit of TLC the bathroom fixtures specially on the bath was in need of a tune up to be honest if I had have been there for more than one night I would have complained and asked for a driffrent room because even the view from the window was non existent there should be and early free of charge in check for retuning guests but the hotel is a beautiful hotel and location is great

Perfect location for my needs. Good size rooms that were well cooled in a hot summer week. The bar area was a great atmosphere to sit and work in throughout the evening. Efficient check in and staff helpful with storing luggage for me

At check out I asked for an itemised invoice/bill. The staff member repeatedly declined to provide this stating that I had paid through B.com. Thats true but having stayed so many times with B.com I know that even when you provide the money to them the hotel gives you an itemised bill. Wgen the taff member referre me to the duty manager this was resolved in seconds. But had I not known how this worked I could have got left without a bill to expense
