It’s such a cozy hotel located in the heart of gay village. The staff is friendly and the room clean. Thanks for your hospitality x
Yes, it is above the bar so it can be a bit noisy but we didn’t mind it at all.

The location couldn't be any better. The hotel is right on a canal in the heart of the nightlife area. It's proximity to cafes, restaurants, bars, and the city's attractions makes it ideal. I found the bedding and room to be extremely comfortable. The room was very clean.
This hotel is on top of a pub open very late most evenings. I'm a very light sleeper to be honest most nights the music was very soft and muted from my room, so it didn't disturb my sleep. On Sunday night, the pub had a performer on the microphone, which was very loud and difficult to sleep with, but that was only one night of my stay.

The room was in excellent condition. The bed was very comfortable, and I was able to rest well. The window overlooked a back street with little traffic, which meant that I was not disturbed by external noise. The bathroom was clean and in excellent condition, with good hot water pressure, adequate ventilation, and sufficient lighting. The location is one of the best aspects of this hotel. It is strategically located in the Gay Village, next to the canal, providing access to the central commercial area within a ten-minute walk. It is also surrounded by all of the city’s gay pubs and clubs. The staff were also very friendly.
I have no negative aspects to highlight regarding the property.

We booked a room at the New Union just because of the look of the place from the outside as advertised in the photos. It is one of the oldest and original buildings in the area and truly beautiful inside and out. As the property explains there will be some noise (music) as it functions as a bar/club but it really didn't disturb us at all. We actually enjoyed spending time in the bar downstairs. Because we stayed for nearly a week they gave us one of the quietest rooms, which was bigger than the one we originally booked! Everything is super clean and what was a bonus for us were the hardboard floors in the rooms (as opposed to carpets, which cause allergies...). The location is fantastic! We walked everywhere from there. The stuff were super friendly and really cool!

Great location, 5 minutes from the coach station. Lovely lively bar with friendly staff and locals. Great entertainment. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy, perfect space for those who are out and about during the daytime. Easy access in and out of the building which is very secure. Great place to stay for solo travellers, couples or a small group of friends. The bar below is open until the early hours of the morning but the music isn't too loud that you can't sleep through it if your in bed earlier. Close to shops, cinema and other nightlife/eateries with great Uber service.

We were even greeted by two sweet little doggies which made us very happy as it was our first holiday away from our own dog. The downstairs bar is a great night out. We particularly enjoy the Sunday night drag show and Tuesday drag bingo, as well as the pool tables! The hotel also stored our bags (quite a few too!) for the day after we checked out so we could see the last few bits of manchester without dragging around 5 bags on our last day! Staff were very kind and helpful, as always with New Union! Will be back very soon for another visit.
Music can be a bit loud late night/weekends so consider that if you're wanting early nights and lots of sleep. We were there to party in gay village so we didnt mind (we also used to live above a loud bar, and New Union was much better sound proofing and easy enough for us to sleep through)

The hotel is very central (only 10 minutes walk away from Arndale) and is in a nice/safe area. The room was big with a comfortable private bathroom. Not expensive.
It can get quite loud, especially during certain days if the week when the bar is open till late. On Friday for example, loud music was played till 6am. We were in the ‘quiet’ part and it still bothered us, especially if you’re a light sleeper.

The room was very clean, and the staff was helpful and friendly. Located in the heart of the gay village, it's conveniently located for exploring the city on foot. Be careful if you're staying on weekends, though. The hotel has a nightclub where shows are held until late at night. You can hear the music from your room. We knew this, though, because the hotel lets you know in advance.

Stayed here before and it was good but the beds have definitely got comfier the quilt and pillows were so comfy we didn't want to leave the bed. Also the new was of leaving and accessing the property is fab (no more fumbling about with a key and getting it jammed in the lock)
Nothing not to like the room was very comfortable the shower was great the only thing that would make it even better would be if they served a full English breakfast on site

Location was absolutely amazing, staff were lovely. The accomodation itself is really efficient and feels safe and secure.
Noise is to be expected, didn't mind it too much. Only issue would be definitely bring yourself a fan in the summer cause the room does get a bit hot lol
