really liked the location and with it being next to a maccies and a tesco we had everything we needed really, it was also super close to a train station which was brill. upon getting there we were met with a concierge called wendy and she was honestly so lovely, i really hope she gets a raise for her service because she was such a sweetie, made our experience that much better.

we noticed the bin was really small which is a common issue that i’ve unfortunately found in hotels, this might be me nagging after watching one too many final destination movies but the elevators also seemed rather jittery and made a lot of noise going down that made me nervous

Had everything we needed for our stay. As well as a sign on the wall in the bathroom stating if you had forgot anything, you could get them on the house from the reception. I thought that was wonderful. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Also allowed me to take some breakfast up to the room as my son was still in bed at that time. So he didn't miss out.

There were a few stains of the side of one of the beds (on the actual base not the mattress) and some ones false lashes on the carpet. These can be overlooked as the bed side isn't something customers touch or lie on.. and the lash piece was tiny and I know they get stuck to carpet! Mattress was a bit too firm and I woke up very stiff and sore due to hidden disabilities. But I guess a lot of people are fine with that kind of mattress! The middle door weirded me and my son out though!

Very welcoming and helpful reception staff, breakfast always hot, nice fry up and several car parks near by with discounted parking from the hotel is a bonus. Rooms a nice size and bed really comfy, options of softer or firmer pillows which I thought was a nice detail. Nice size bathroom and shower, only down side is there’s no windows you can open so no fresh air.

You need to use your key card to use the lift which is great security but we had to have our card reactivated almost everyday because it stopped working which was annoying, met other people that had the same problem.

The location of the property is really second to none, perfect for everything in the city. The staff were very friendly, particularly the doorman (which made it feel very safe). I LOVED the blackout light in the bathroom for use at night. Excellent light-proof curtains (for a change, this is usually a pet peeve of mine) and really impressive soundproofing for a city centre hotel. Breakfast did the job, not fancy but good enough.

Just a couple of small things, not enough to be put off starting again: More staff needed for peak check-in time. I waited for 23 minutes for the one guy on reception to check in an enormous queue of people. He was great, but needed help (see picture) and that is too long to wait. The other issue was that there was no stairwell access to the ground floor (there was only an alarmed door), meaning that you had to either take the lift, even to the first floor, or go down to -1 then back up to 1 (or vice versa). Otherwise great.

The rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was also very clean, the shower had really good water pressure and the shower gel and shampoo were both very nice. Breakfast was very good, with lots of hot and cold options, and was included in the price.

We booked two rooms and asked for one with a double bed and one with two single beds, but we were given both rooms with double beds. One of the rooms was in the first floor and it was very cold and noisy at night. The other one which was on the 5th floor was fine. Even though all the food in breakfast was very good, there was only one staff member cleaning the tables and replacing plates and cutlery, which led to many of us having to wait for a table to be cleaned or to get a fork. I believe they should have more staff members working on breakfast, especially at the weekend.

Fantastic Stay with Lovely Staff and an Amazing Breakfast! We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their genuine hospitality really made us feel at home. The free breakfast was a standout highlight. It was not only delicious but also offered a great variety to suit all tastes. It truly set us up perfectly for a full day of exploring (and a bit of pinting!). The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-equipped, making for a relaxing retreat after our adventures. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a warm and enjoyable place to stay. We can’t wait to return!

Room keycards kept deactivating, small annoyance.

Excellent location for our needs. Flew into Manchester from Australia. Easy train trip to Manchester Oxford Rd and then only a 3-5 minute walk to the hotel. Was only an overnight stay before moving onto Liverpool, so again the Rail access was very easy. Facilities very suitable for a short stay, and the central city shopping district was only a few minutes walk away too. The hotel was warm, comfortable and secure. The small size may not be ideal for longer stays but was perfect for our needs. The staff were courteous and responsive throughout our stay.

No obvious problems to note.

Location was fantastic, very near to Oxford Road station and the theatre. We found the room to be clean and communal areas were well kept. Staff were okay, I wouldn’t say overly welcoming but answered our questions.

We requested a twin room but were given a double, we did receive an email to say they couldn’t guarantee a twin room so at least we kinda knew we might not get one but it was also an adapted disabled room which we were not told at check in. There was a door between rooms which although locked we found to be noisy as we could hear their tv and them talking.

The incredibly friendly welcome from Wendy upon arrival was the happy face you want to see after a long drive from Scotland. Even better when I was able to check in early and freshen up in the room. The room itself was very clean, fresh and comfortable. The bed was a little soft for my tastes but overall everything from the beginning to the end of my short stay was fantastic. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Location wise, you are practically in the centre of Manchester with easy transport links nearby.

Despite using the AC on a heat setting, it didn't warm up the room as much as I would have liked. It was quite chilly inside the room.

I always stay here when I visit Manchester as it's close to Oxford Road Station and very near music venues like Manchester Academy and O2 Ritz which I often visit. Rooms are always clean, wifi works well, and staff are lovely.

My only problem this time is that I was in Manchester on the coldest day of the year and I was freezing in my room. i asked the staff to turn the heating up and they were lovely and did so, but I was still too cold. Not the staff's fault though and probably a lot to do with the fact I always feel the cold and it was just my bad luck to be there when it was below freezing outside.
