Nice room with comfortable bed and great shower. Box of teas and coffees, biscuits and mineral water complementary. Good breakfast and lovely helpful staff.

It was noisy. Ok we were told at check-in that there was a band on the Friday night but were assured the bar would be closing at 11.00 and so we wouldn’t be kept up. Not quite the case; the band (VERY LOUD if you’re directly above it) finished at about 11.10 but then the noise from the bar continued till about 11.45. In addition, there’s piped music playing into the street from 9.00 am which (at least in room 3) you are aware of at all times. Not very restful.

We were at the hotel for an overnight stay as we were at a wedding nearby. We really enjoyed the breakfast which was included in the price of the room. It included cereals, yoghurts and a choice of various cooked food from the menu. It was all very tasty and the service was good. We also ate lunch when we arrived at the hotel which was absolutely delicious. Our room was comfortable with tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits. There was plenty of space in both the room and bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable so we slept well. The check in was smooth and all staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The only thing that we could think of was the shower wasn't the best. It wasn't very powerful so could do with an update.

The venue is a quaintOld English Inn, with all furnishings. Bedroom was a good size, clean and airy. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The menus, (evening and breakfast) have a wide and varied selection. Sighted in the heart of Knutsford, with good access to the surrounding area.

If any improvement were required it's with the postcode given, as it takes you to the front entrance to the venue, which is a one way narrow street. It would be better to give there alternative postcode, which takes you directly to there private car park at the rear of the venue.

Great location with free on site parking.A lovely,old hotel with all the attributes you will love and appreciated Especially one which is over 350 years old. A very nice beer garden at the rear was also a bonus.Friendly,helpful staff who also served up a delicious breakfast.All in all,a very pleasant stay

Not one one for general moaning but the only thing I can mention in a negative manner is the the size of our particular bedroom.It was a tad on the smaller side.Manageable for a night but any longer,it may have caused issues.This is the only aspect of our stay that stopped me giving the hotel a perfect 10 score.

On arrival the restaurant was packed and had a great atmosphere! Found the room to be cosy and clean. Check in and out was breeze which is always helpful and the staff were very pleasant. The hotel benefits from its own free parking which takes the stress away of having to find somewhere to leave the car and the location is perfect for a short stay in Knutsford.

The noise from the cleaners in the morning and the emptying of recycling bins etc. Avoid room 5 if you don't want constant foot traffic coming past your room.

The property was very nice and the room was comfortable and very clean and a lovely size. The breakfast was very nice and nice and hot and a good choice. The lady that was serving breakfast was very helpful and very friendly. We had an evening meal which was very nice. It was a very relaxing place to stay .

We brought a fe round of drinks and the staff was very helpful but every round was a different price even though we had the same. One morning at about 7.20 the music went on in the back quart yard it was a member of staff I thought that was in appropriate as a lot of the rooms backed onto the quart yard so if you wasn’t up then you would have been .

Really lovely traditional pub and that felt like a romantic British pub you would see featured in a mushy American Christmas rom com (e.g. The Holiday!) Especially with the tasteful and traditional Xmas decs. The food and atmosphere were also excellent.

Small complaint - the Bathroom was a wee bit chilly, but we warmed it up by keeping the shutters closed and the door open to let some heat in. But the hotel value, interiors and charm of the pub and experience make this only a very minor thing. And shouldn’t put you off from staying there.

Very polite staff who were always available and willing to help with anything they could. Food was great although not a massive menu.Our room was serviced every day during our 3 night stay which we didn't expect so bonus points there. All in a great stay, thanks to all the staff.

Room was slightly cool even though the heating was on. There was an electric oil heater left in the room for us witch we had on and warmed the room. Can't complain because it was absolutely freezing outside.

Warm friendly staff and both the evening dinner and breakfast were excellent

Aeroplanes landing at Manchester airport were noisy but we would have slept through that. The people in room six next to us had a television on all of the first afternoon/evening until way after midnight, volume loud, on a news channel. Started again at 04.30 the next morning. News channels consist of bright, chirpy voices that can’t be ignored. Maybe some television volume control called for.

The breakfast was second to none. Cooked to perfection. Normally vegetarian sausages are over cooked and dry. The temperature was fantastically hot too. We had a highly successful Sunday lunch too. The only thing I would suggest as an improvement would be to have some lined curtains in the bedroom. We shut the blinds but the street lamps from the high street below were shining. This was not too much of an issue due to the time of year I wouldn’t appreciate it during the summer.

It was all perfect.
