Firstly, the staff were AMAZING! Very friendly and helpful. As a solo traveller, they were open to conversation in the evening which was great. The food was delicious, and having the pub downstairs was handy after a long day walking and just wanting a quick pint before bed. The location is brilliant for Tatton Park and the Gauntlet Birds of Prey center. Also very close to the train station. Shops literally on the doorstep. Very clean and spacious rooms with peaceful decor and a modern bathroom. Also very quiet considering there is a pub downstairs. I stayed in the week so not sure if weekend business would change this. Lighting in the room was cosy, so for those wanting to do their makeup, the bathroom in bright and well lit. I will definitely stay here again when I'm next in the area!

The only issue I had was the room above had very creaky floorboards. From around 7am for about an hour, I could hear the guest above me walking round. However, this did not spoil the stay. And with the building being old, it would be a huge job for the business to fix this. Do not let this out you off! Also, booking.com messed up my payment details and I ended up paying twice. This was sorted straight away though, as soon as I had proved I'd already paid, I recommend if you find a good price on here, ring the business directly and quote the price and book through them directly. I'm still giving this place 10 stars!

Lovely property with character and in a great location. Clean and good sized room. Room had a full length mirror and a mirror with lights which was great for getting ready (not at a desk so had to stand up to use). Staff were lovely, very attentive and chatty. Stayed on a very hot day and had a fan in the room waiting for us which was a nice touch. Bottled water and fresh milk provided which was also a little added bonus.

The room was a little tired (it is an old building so to be expected). Carpets a bit loose/threads at edges. Ceiling dirty, like water stains - none of this impacted our stay. Very hot room - fan provided did help slightly. Some road noise from around 6am which we were told about. Shower wasn’t great, either a hard jet or a dribble.

It's in a great location in the centre of Knutsford. It's a lovely walk from the Angel to the beautiful Tatton house and gardens, and a short drive there. It's an ideal location for exploring the countryside.

Nothing really, however I noticed my room was not finished being serviced one day. It was cleaned, but the cushions and throw on the bed was not replaced and were folded and piled on the floor. No complaints about the rooms, but it seemed the small details were left unfinished that day. Having said that, it didn't spoil the visit.

The staff on check in were great friendly and really helpful even offered to help and our carry bags to the room. The Room was clean and comfortable warm and had plenty of hot water. We had a Sunday lunch downstairs in the pub and it was absolutely fantastic really good value for money. The location is great in the centre of town and we would definitely stay here again.

Not that we didn’t like it, but the only thing I would say is that the resident entrance you use during the evening. If you’ve got mobility issues or you’ve had a few drinks and it’s quite dark just to be really careful when using the back entrance I had family with me to help. You also use the same entrance when checking out in the morning you just hang your keys up and leave via the back door.

This property was excellent from the minute we walked in to be greeted by James the excellent bar staff, he was so courteous and informative and welcoming. There’s also was a another you g girl bar staff who was all so lovely. The rooms where comfortable and clean and the bed was so comfy. We where there for a family wedding in Colshaw hall and the location was excellent. Parking was good even though we had to park in a car park 5 mins away it was still easy to park and bring in our luggage. The staff where amazing thank you to you all.

There was nothing I could say that I didn’t like about this stay. The property is an old building and quirky which I loved and it had many creaky floorboards which would be expected, but our room was 1st floor and through doors to other rooms and very early in the morning it was very loud with the constant creaking floor past our room and from rooms above as guests walked around their rooms, including ours, which couldn’t be helped and it didn’t spoil our stay. Just a thought maybe for the property.

This is a nice pub with a separate portion of the building with rooms. I found the room comfortable and clean, the staff is really kind. I liked that they give you a little breakfast basket to take to your room and they provide fresh towels daily (I think? I was only there for 2 nights). I also had dinner at the pub one night and it was delicious!

I got lost trying to find my way back downstairs! There are indications on the walls but it’s not the easiest to get around upstairs with lots of doors and stairs. In the room the only thing I didn’t like was the floor, very very creaky. I suppose it’s an old building.

Warm, comfortable bedroom. The hotel is right in the centre of town which is really good for restaurants/shops etc. Small breakfast basket in the morning. Didn't eat at the pub but it looked good. Parking wasn't a problem for us, Sunday is free and we parked on the street outside the hotel until 9am Monday.

As with most old buildings you can hear corridor noise, room noise from above, and our room was over the bar, so we could hear bar music. Quietened after 9 PM. Nothing to do with the hotel but aeroplane noise is something we are not used to.

No breakfast available. I believe there was a cereal option delivered to your hotel door . I saw cereals and small pots of jam . However right next door to the hotel there is an option to buy a full English breakfast so I was not too disappointed.

I was a bit slow to work out how the shower worked . It was a lovely shower , just I personally struggled on how to increase the shower temperature . Totally my own fault but I believe my friend found the same issue .

Clean and comfortable room with ability to open the window for fresh air. Location in town excellent. Restaurant very good. Complimentary breakfast a nice touch but would have been better to ask guests to collect in the morning as milk included which although put in a cool bag would not have kept cold in the summer.

Plain croissants would be a better option than pain au chocolate. Not sure cereal and milk a good choice but would be okay if breakfast collected am.Orange juice would be a good addition if again breakfast could be collected am and OJ cold.

Location was perfect, friendly staff, lovely little continental breakfast, good facilities I.e hair dryer, Kettle. very comfortable bed, t.v. Clean, towels and soaps available, lovely decor easily accessible even when pub was closed. I felt safe as a solo traveller.

I was on the first floor, room 3. Everything was perfect apart from the extremely noisy floorboards, I was worried about disturbing the neighbours and I could hear them moving around too. You can hear everything from downstairs during the day. I arrived back in my hotel around midnight and even though the downstairs pub was closed I could hear loud band style music, not sure where it was coming from, may have been a near by pub. Was woken to the sound of roadworks right outside my window at 8am which understandably was not to the fault of the hotel however I noticed road signs on my way out so it would have been nice to have been pre warned by the hotel on my book in date. There was also rips in the bed sheet but didn’t affect the comfort.
