It’s such a cozy Japanese traditional house. The owners are so lovely. They made us feel like home. The place is very spacious and beautiful. We love everything about this place.

View of Fiji and Lake Kawaguchi from my specific room, although I was outside most of the time, that was the perfect end to my day when noticing that! The hosts are very sweet and attentive when you are checking in and then they offer you privacy unless you need something, then they are available! The shower/bath area was very clean and I showered early so I did not have to wait. It’s very quiet, very good sized room, lots of food options nearby and heating worked well. Overall I had a very lovely stay.

It's a traditional house converted into a hotel. The owner is very friendly. The room is spacious, and we had a direct view of Mount Fuji. I thought the futons would be uncomfortable, but I actually had a good night's sleep on them. The traditional bathroom they have in the accommodation is great.

It's an old place, so the floor makes some noise when you walk. The whole room is made of wood, so there is a certain musty smell in the room.

The place is located in a perfect walking distance from Kawaguchiko Station it takes you like 10-15 minutes to get there. The staff is very kind and the installations were clear! Also the ofuro is very comfortable and big enough to relax after a long day of walking. The rooms are warm and have tea and drinking water and plenty of futons to sleep comfortably! 100% recommended! Greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽! I also recommend walking around the Lake Kawaguchi in the night, you can take plenty of pretty photos!

Everything was perfect!

Overall, very clean and comfortable accommodations. Host was amazing - helped explain the facilities and things to see/do in Fujikawaguchiko area using translate app on her phone. Room was very spacious and had a TV, a table, tatami mat with futons to sleep on floor consistent with Japanese traditions. Hotel had onsen baths that could be used on a first come first serve basis and bathrooms on each floor. Hotel was in a very convenient location - close to the lake and panoramic ropeway for great views of Mt Fuji. Also, close walking distance to train and bus station. We got lucky with the sky clearing up on the day of our departure to view Mt Fuji-san. Thank you, Ichifujiso!

Nothing really - stay was great and exceeded our expectations.

This is the best accommodation that we’ve ever stayed during our trip. The old tradition Japanese style tatami just next to lake kawaguchi just 1 mins walk to see the lake. The old couple host are very nice and friendly always look after everyone. They can understand the simple English and know how to use google translate to communicate with guests. Ojisan always smiles gives us a warm feeling. You can pay extra ¥1,000 for traditional breakfast it’s worth it! Breakfast start at 8 when it’s ready they will give you a call to your room. Two showers with onsen, obachan will make sure the temperature is right before you having a shower. She noticed we were about to take a shower and went in double check and did a quick clean and reserved the shower for us, very thoughtful. Overall this is my favourite accommodation in Japan, definitely recommend and will go back there again.

The couple that run the hotel is friendly and helpful. She knows how to use the translator in case of needed. The location is just near the lake and tourist bus stop. The room we reserved had a nice view of the Mount Fuji. The hotel offers private onsen 30 minutes per guest. We did not use it but it looked pretty nice. The breakfast is paid additionally but it is traditional and delicious. The room has also a traditional setup with the option to use the traditional clothes. We loved the experience.

It is not sparkly clean but overall good. There is a cemetery nearby.

Best stay at fujikawaguchiko! Grandma and Grandpa hosts are very friendly! Even though they couldn’t converse much in english, they initiated using google translate which made our communication seamless. Room was clean and the hot water flask was refilled with hot water for the 2nights I’ve stayed. Bathroom was shared but that’s not an issue for me, it’s well cleaned. There is also hot bath/shower at the ground floor which is kind of private cos the door can be locked during usage for 30mins- I find that is good for ppl preferring some privacy. Also, the breakfast is delicious for just 1000yen, it’s well prepared and comforting. Overall, I have a great stay there and will be back certainly.

Lovely spacious traditional tatami room with air conditioning. Delicious breakfast. Sweet and helpful owners. Good location only meters from the lake, and a fantastic view of Mt Fuji from our bedroom window. Big onsen-style bath. Green tea and hot water provided in our room.

The decor is a bit dated. It didn't worry us (and I actually thought it added to the charm), but that might be a con for some people. Also be aware that because it's traditional tatami room you have to make up your own futon bed.

Check-in was super quick. The owner has tea and a thermos ready for us. We did not use the onsen or breakfast. The place is convenient, just a short walk from the bus station. We enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is very basic. I wish we could get the bed set up for us. There was only cold water for us to wash our face and brush our teeth. I was not a fan of the squat washroom.
