We have already visited this wonderful hotel once before in February, and we came back again because we truly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is historic and very beautiful — it combines charm from the past with modern features. It was a pleasure to explore the hotel and visit its library and other lovely rooms. The location is very close to the main piazza, making it easy to explore the heart of the city. We really appreciate the variety of breakfast options — we found everything we needed, and there was plenty to choose from. The staff are very attentive and helpful. We had several interactions with the front desk team and always received a warm welcome. We now consider ourselves regular guests, and we will definitely choose this hotel again the next time we visit our beloved Trieste.

We liked everything.

An absolute best location in Trieste, incredible building, comfy, great food

Some of the front desk staff seemed a bit annoyed and we werent even asked whether it was our first time in Trieste and werent given the rundown of available facilities. It was odd

Breakfast was the standard buffet; it was fine. We ate at the restaurant twice for dinner, and the food was excellent. The bar served great cocktails as well. Highly recommend their Negroni. I enjoyed looking at the art on exhibit on the way to the dining area every day. The decor throughout is beautiful, and our room was well appointed. Staff was great; very friendly. Parking was expensive, but it was basically valet parking; we'd call and ask for the car, someone would bring it around, and then we'd leave it in front when we were done and someone would park it for us. Location had lots of shopping and restaurants in the surrounding area.

The bed was comfortable but I didn't like the pillows.

Excellent location from which to explore Trieste. The city centre is eminently walkable from the hotel and excellent shops and cafes are situated nearby. The building is impressive; a converted late 19th/ early 20th century insurance building. It is very comfortable. The rooms are modern and the restaurant and bar are in historic rooms. Some wellness facilities, but no swimming pool. Trieste can be noisy but the rooms were quiet. The bed was comfortable and there was ample storage space. We were promptly moved from the first room allocated to us as it had no desk or armchair as promised. Desk staff fine. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Only significant thing was the initial allocation to a room with no desk or armchair - both promised when we booked the room. This would have made the room significantly less pleasant as there was little space to put things and in a large room you do need a little furniture! We would have been very unhappy if another room had not been available. Small gripe: no hooks to hang coats or dressing gown. So rare in hotels, but so useful! The desk clerk who checked us in could have been a little bit friendlier and seemed reluctant to speak English. Some noise from adjacent rooms - not surprising given absence of cadets or soft furnishing, though this was not a significant problem.

The historic building of the hotel is very impressive. The hotel itself is very chic, super equipped and centrally located. The people at the desk were very friendly and were upgrading to even a better room when we were arriving. If you want to be once at a nice historic hotel in the middle of the center you are at the right place!

The breakfast was very nice, but the half board dinner unfortunately a disappointment. First the restaurant is not as as good as you might expect in such a hotel - and the menu rather limited. Second I was negatively surprised that just after my booking I was informed that my son wasn't t included in the half board deal and that I have to pay extra for him. I prefer to be informed clearly about the real price before I m deciding about my booking. My advice: avoid the half board deal, eat outside and you will be perfectly fine at the Hilton Hotel in Trieste

The hotel is in the building of the old insurance company (as the personnel told me), exterior is very architectural, the interior is a mixture of modern and vintage - very nice with its own atmospehre. The room have high ceilings, the interior of the restaurant and bar have unforgettable atmosphere. The hotel is situated in the walking distance from the seafront/port, close to all attractions, sightseen and shops.

Be ready to meet homeless people at the entrance of the hotel. The entrance to the hotel is through very high stairs and in case of too many lugguage You need to sweat a bit...They have a porter but he was not excited to help, although was given good tips. The only possibility to park the car safely - to use extra paid valet parking that is offered at the reception.

i’ve visited hundreds of hotels in my life and this was by far the cleanest one! also staff was great, location was excellent, good solved parking situation, spacious rooms. it was a business trip but i also took my family and i’m glad I did. we got free upgrade and my 1 year old really enjoyed spacious room.

just one small thing that could be better is that they have 3 or 4 parking spaces in front of the hotel where you can stay up to 30 minutes, but they were always occupied by people who did not stay at the hotel, construction workers, and so on. they should pay attention to that. plus the entry to the hotel is just stairs, so it was a bit hard with the stroller.

The Trieste DoubleTree is very organized and spacious. The room is huge. Even almost like 2 rooms. My family and I really enjoyed our stay. They were so kind also because they gave each of us warm chocolate chip cookies right away, which we devoured. DoubleTree is a great place for families. Its architecture is beautiful. The breakfast setting is just exquisite. Doubletree By Hilton Trieste is a stunning building which houses wonderful stays.

Clean and comfy rooms with everything you should expect in a Hilton Hotel. We got an upgrade to a bigger room, but no windows. The location of the hotel is perfect to visit downtown Trieste. The people at the front desk were very friendly.

The parking lot is a bit far from the hotel, and no one assisted us with our luggage. It wasn’t a problem for us, but I can imagine that older guests might need some help.

Great location and stunning furnitures, was a historical building with grand statues. We got upgraded and the room was great! Facing the backyard was very quiet, comfortable bed stuff and pillows. Slippers in the room. Breakfast on the first floor with lovely tables and good food. The old small library on the first floor is cute! Nice stuff, was surprised by one stuff speaking Chinese mandarin to us;)

The water for showers was not hot enough for me, one stuff was here to manage this, but didn’t work. I went to my friends’ room for showering
