We recieved a very pleasant and informative welcome from our host. The property is historic and has been upgraded tastefully to a high standard. The situation is excellent within a few minutes walk town centre and harbour with numerous restaurants and sights. Apartments are generously sized albeit with low ceilings as they are in the roof space and decor design is upscale.

Nothing that spoilt our stay in Apt 7 but a couple of issues may be worth mentioning. Because of attic design height in shower area was restrictive if you are over 1.8m.Other areas were fine. Also some of the coral decorations were not to our taste and air con in bedroom was noisy. Apologies for not mentioning this but it got worse on the second night and we had an early departure before staff arrived.

Wonderful set up: great location near the canal, close to the eating and shopping areas, and not far to walk to Piazza Unita; beautiful old building, which has preserved all its historical charm; wonderful apartment reception, ambience and decor. The Suites are gorgeous: they are modern and comfortable, while respecting the original structure of the attic with the beams and roof overhead. The design of the space in the Suites, which combines the new rooms with the old attic is extremely thoughtful, stylish and beautiful. We marvelled at this elegant, inspired and inspiring use of space. The staff are extremely welcoming and helpful: we met Manuele, Kata and Olympia, all lovely and very friendly, as well as very knowledgeable and competent, ready to answer any question and give great advice and recommendations. It was a great pleasure to meet them and we'd love to see them again in future.

the bed, be it mattresses, pillows and bed covers could be of better quality, for a place of such high standing. the electricity outlets for plugging in the telephone chargers were not easy to access and it was difficult to fit standard 2-pin chargers into the 3-pin outlets. the bathroom amenities were a great brand and lovely quality, but the bottles were so small and the print on them so extremely small, that it was very difficult to figure out which bottle held which of the bathroom products.

An amazing suite at the top of an historic building. Beautifully styled living area, with a kitchen and equipment adequate to cook simple meals. Excellent location with easy walking distance to the main attractions. Lovely helpful staff. We used the valet parking service (35e a day) which while not the cheapest option made life very easy! VERY comfy bed. Great big bathroom with surprisingly - in context - ordinary shower cubicle. Great aircon and velux blinds.

Nothing really. There is no view to the outside world because the rooms are in the roof, but the space is well-lit and airy.

The suites are located within walking distance of parking, downtown, shopping, boardwalk, many historical sites, and restaurants. Our suite was large and well equiped. We truly enjoyed the architectual features of the suite and having the extra space. The furniture was comfortable to sit on in the living area. I also enjoyed perusing the books. Our bed was particularly comfortable to sleep in.

I would have liked to have had hooks for coats inside our suite near the door and a few throw rugs to warm up the floors. I would also recommend a rug in the hallway outside the suites to dampen the noise.

The apartment was lovely and clean with plenty of room. Well appointed apartment with interesting decoration and design that kept in with the theme of being "historical suites." We loved the glimpses of the tiled roof space through the glass (or perspex) ceilings. There were also a couple of little lounging nooks in the common areas that were available for use. It's handy to cafes, restaurants, and various sights of interest, including la Piazza della Unita. The property is located conveniently close to the train station if you’re not lugging heavy luggage around. We decided to take a taxi back to the train station on our departure, which the staff were kind enough to arrange for us. We would stay again.

I'm not a big fan of stairs, and since the apartments are cleverly built into the roof space, there was no option but to climb a flight or two once we got out of the lift. While it does state that upper floors are only accessible by stairs, there's actually no lower floors available, so there is no option but to take stairs to the reception area and then up again to the rooms. Fortunately, the gentleman who saw us up to the apartment was most helpful with assisting us with our luggage. Unfortunately, the kettle was very slow to boil for some reason, and a microwave would have been handy, but again it's not stipulated that there is a microwave so it's just an observation that it would be good to have. The kettle being slow was just a minor issue, which I meant to advise but forgot.

This is the most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed in. It was like living in a museum. Everything was beautiful and comfortable. Everything was done for our convenience for example dishwasher tablets, water, cream for coffee, aqua di Parma toiletries, slippers…. We were so comfortable and so happy here. It’s honestly the most lovely place we’ve ever stayed in . We loved looking at all the art books particularly HipHotels which had an index of similar places to stay. Thank you so much.

The location was absolutely perfect. Right off the Grand Canal and surrounded by excellent restaurants, and the James Joyce statue. The room itself was stylish in a building from 1848 (or thereabouts) and the A/C worked very well, which was important on a hot July day. Definitely would come back again. Top scores across the board. Go raibh maith agat, Manuele!

Nothing, really. Parking can be tight, but we found a perfect spot around the corner thanks to our host.

The location cannot be better, whatever you want to see and enjoy in the city is in walking distance or if you want to go somewhere by car, it's easy because you can get a closed parking place very close to the property. The design of the rooms are really special, still everything is cosy. Kata was very kind and helpful, gave us many useful ideas to make the most of our stay.

The location was amazing, so easy to walk to restaurants and the train. Manuel was so helpful and kind! The apartment was beautiful, it was our anniversary and we had extra surprises which was so beautiful. Thanks again!

Mind your head if you are tall, the sloped ceiling in the master bedroom is tricky to navigate 🤣
