Very good sized single room, clean and up together and had a small fridge too. Friendly and helpful staff, good selection for buffet breakfast (cereals, yoghurt, fresh pastries, cold meats etc). Really good that complimentary drinks were available 24/7 in the lobby. More than made up for lack of kettle in room. Very close to train/coach station and easy walk into city centre. Excellent value for money

The room was quite hot, and I couldn't control the temperature really. I overheard another guest make a similar comment to Reception. I left a window open as advised and that was fine though possibly not the 'greenest' option. A complimentary bottle of mineral water in the room could have been welcome, though you could buy one from the mini bar. Only small moans though!

Outstanding location, very close to the points of interest in Trieste, and local transport is easily accessible. The staff is very proffesional, and polite, with good coomunication skills even in English. The hotel is old style but in a joyfull way, everything works correctly. Breakfast is very good italian style, without warm courses. Room was not big but comfortable and cosy. Very good value for the price.

Obviously parking is not easy in such a central location as the hotel s area. It is not possible to drive directly to the hotel gate, but they have two cars parking place close to the gate just opposite to a taxi station, for a short period of parking. It is better to require the garage or the valet parking service in advance. The air condition in the room is centrally set (or we could not use it correctly) but with turning it on and off we were able to maintain the comfortable temperature.

Room: It was the perfect size. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were good. It was also the perfect temperature. Bathroom: It was very big. They also had a bidet, which was very nice. The shower cabin had a decent size. There was always hot water available and the toilet flushed properly. There were also plenty of towels. Breakfast: It was very diverse. They had a fine selection of cold cuts and cheese, lots of croissant types, sponge cakes or chocolate cakes, 2 types of water and juices, 3 types of bread and 3 types of yogurt. They also had a fancy coffee machine. Staff: When I was there, there was a strike of the railway network, and they helped me find the proper solution to be able to get to the airport on the day that I was leaving. Generally speaking, they were helpful and nice all the time. Location: it was close to the main train station and bus station, so this was a huge plus. Also the main tourist objectives were also nearby.

Nothing I can truly complain about. Just a personal preference, I would have liked not to have a green LED exit sign in my room, but I understand that this is mandatory to have now.

The hotel was cozy, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable, and the room had all the necessities needed. The breakfast was excellent and offered a very good variety. I recommend going down a little earlier for breakfast, as the food runs out and not everything is refilled. They also offer complimentary coffee and tea all day which is also a very nice addition for those staying there. The bus stop is right outside the hotel, and the location is great and close to everywhere you want to go. Overall, it was a very good experience.

Lovely old building conveniently situated a short walk from the train station and an easy walk to the very centre of Trieste. To go into Trieste you walk along a lovely pedestrianised street with bars and shops about 10 minutes into the centre. The breakfast is good. Plenty of choice with very nice staff looking after everyone. In general the staff were all helpful and friendly. We had 3 single rooms for our group. The rooms are fairly basic but clean with a good bathroom. Windows that open and aircon. Nice comfortable beds. It was perfect for us.

The hotel has a great central location and is very comfortable. Our room had an excellent view over the piazza, and a small refrigerator. The breakfast was very good and was very elegantly presented. The tea and coffee machine in the breakfast room is available for guests to use throughout the day.

Perhaps the hotel could provide clearer advice about where to park the car for the valet parking. One of us had to stay with the car while the other ran into the hotel to ask, but it could be tricky for a single guest. The bathrooms are fine but could be enhanced by provision of facecloths.

It is a renovated retro hotel, with a staff that is in the rank of the best staff in luxury hotels, with the good intention of doing everything to make the hotel as good as possible. The hotel is in a great location and is definitely better than 3*, primarily because of the attention given to guests. This hotel deserves all the compliments. This hotel, in terms of service and style, deserves the status of a small luxury hotel

Maybe paint damage from a suitcase on the walls and doors, but everything else is clean and well maintained.

I really enjoyed the stay, the location is in the city center, the room was clean and the TV in the room was great. Complimentary hot drinks available throughout the day were amazing. Staff was friendly and helpful

I really don't like it and didn't understand why a passport is required for the check-in in this hotel and the ID card wasn't enough. All hotels in Europe and in Italy I stayed before accept ID cards. Also, the room for breakfast could have a few more tables to avoid waiting in the queue to get in

I’d stayed there 11 years ago, so thought I would stay there again. I like the location - it’s easy walking to must things, the place is clean, the breakfast is excellent and they have good sized single rooms at a reasonable price. Free snacks and coffee any time you want it is brilliant.

The staff didn’t offer to assist with heavy suitcases up the stairs before you get to the lift. The place is looking a little tired, worn carpets and drapes, and the netting in the bedroom looked like they needed a good wash. Reception provided a list of restaurants, many of which don’t seem to exist anymore. It would be good to have coffee option in your room instead of having to go downstairs

The hotel is located within easy walking distance of many of the interesting sights to see and a wide choice of eating places; as well as near the main rail station and bus terminal for the airport. The breakfast is excellent and very well catered for! The hotel staff are very pleasant, helpful and attentive. Having access to tea and coffee making facilities during the day was much appreciated.
