We had a great stay at the Milano Hotel. This is a 3-star hotel that has ticked all the boxes a 3-star hotel needs to offer its guests. The room is clean, neat, and refurbished; the windows are new, and outside noise is almost non-existent. The room is cute, all that one needs for a good night's sleep in a city. The breakfast was a decent Italian breakfast with some touches of Slovenian and Austrian breakfast influence. The staff was very friendly and professional. And last, but not least, the bicycle storage was excellent. Thank you all so much for providing a safe storage space for our bicycles overnight. It means a lot to us.

There was nothing spectacular, except possibly if there were some improvements in bathroom amenities, such as offering larger packages to reduce bulk waste, which would be easy to implement.

This hotel is perfect for those who have soured on Bnb’s and what a pain it can be to organize your stay with proprietors who have no training or experience in hospitality. Hotel Milano was convenient, extremely clean, comfortable, and best of all, full of courteous, personable, efficient staff members who made our stay easy, pleasant and affordable. Hotels like this remind you that hospitality is a profession that has been overrun by hacks, but a few outliers remain who practice the professionalism that was once the standard in a great industry.

Our Room was ready when we arrived. We were greeted with kind, efficient, professional and gracious staff. Thankfully, the Milano Hotel has a wonderful Italian ‘feel’. No American chain hotel trappings. (I like those in America but not in Italy.) The beds are comfortable and the linens are cosy. The bright and cheerfully appointed lobby and breakfast room added to our happy stay. Lots of delicious choices for breakfast are included. Upon checkout we were offered coffee/tea as we had some time to wait in the lobby before leaving town. I highly recommend the Milano Hotel.

The location of the hotel is great: a few minutes from the train station and bus station, 15 min from the city centre. Excellent silence once you close the window. I slept well. I had a lot of space to store all my belongings. All of staff members were really nice and helpful.

The breakfast was oriented towards guests from Italy and France with a lot of sweets and cakes. Slightly more diverse continental breakfast would be perfect!

We arrived in Trieste via train and the Hotel Milano is very close to the railway station. The staff were very friendly and helpful, with a particular mention for Suzie who served us at breakfast. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed and nice en-suite shower facilities. Fresh bread, cheese, meats and yoghurts were provided for breakfast with freshly prepared coffee.

There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and the air-conditioning was a bit noisy during the night.

Emilio was so welcoming…this is a traditional Italian hotel with so much charm…we had a room away from the busy road with an upgraded bathroom…we also reserved a car space which was fantastic..u need to check in and get the parking key but was easy as it seems u can stop opposite the hotel for a moment with your lights on/flashing , easy flat walk 10 mins to canal and piazza and port…beautiful sunsets there…great continental breakfast thanks

Location perfect, just 5 mins walk to Train station. The room was as described online, it was spotlessly clean. Bonus to have a fridge in the room especially during summer. Staff pleasant to deal with both before arrival and on site. Very near grand canal and all tourist attractions Continental breakfast available. Would stay there again and would recommend to friends and family.

Not a dislike, would have liked Tea/coffee making facilities in room. Saying that I didn’t ask, so maybe they would have supplied if I did.

The hotel is about 5 minutes’ walk from the railway station. Since Trieste is not a big city, it’s easy access from the hotel to everywhere, just walkable distance. Staff are friendly and efficient. Wifi works well. I specially like their bathroom. The tiles make it sparkling clean. I should really install such tiles to my own bathroom to make it look sparkling clean as well.

This was a very good choice. The location is excellent. All the staff were very skillful, professional and hospitable. And also, they were very happy to accommodate our bicycles as well. The breakfast was versarile, and everything was tasty. The stairs are beautiful, very retro.

There were veey few points that could be improved, for instance usage of plastic cups could be replaced with glass ones. Second, the room is very clean, stairs are beautiful, but maybe stairs need also a bit of hoovering. The furniture is a bit outdated, but very cute, we loved it.

The quadruple room was spacious and was always immaculately cleaned. The hotel is a great price for a stay only a 10 minute walk to the central square and grand canal.

Would have loved a basic toaster & sliced bread in the breakfast room. Cakes are in abundance, great choice of yogurts, cereals and whole fruits.
