Our stay at the George and Dragon was exceptionally good. We decided to stay here primarily for the convenient location, and on the basis that the facilities would probably be OK. However, it frankly exceeded our expectations on all levels. The pub has been refitted in the last few years, with rooms being added. The pub itself is a lovely little place, with a warm and cosy feel about it. The rooms are quirky, well decorated, well appointed, and spotless. Lots of little features, like a cosy little lounge for guests, complimentary water and drinks, lots of plugs, decent WiFi, nice toiletries, etc. The restaurant looked lovely, although we did not have dinner there. Breakfast was great, with a really decent menu whether you want cooked English breakfast or pastries and coffee. Parking was available, although might get a bit tight if they are busy. They have electric charging points too. Above all, every member of staff that we engaged with was polite, helpful and more than accommodating.
Our radiator was a little lack lustre, but that might have just be incompetence on our part.

Breakfast, as usual, marvellous choices. Room was lovely, though a little hot, but a fan was provided; however, it didn't make a lot of difference even with the window open. Like the personal touches of water and a measure of Sloe gin left in the room. Good food here although we didn't have dinner this time. We couldn't get the overhead shower to work in our room.
Let down with the parking, it is sometimes very difficult to get space, I think the car park at the back should be for hotel guests only or at least part of it should be, as my husband had to drive around trying to find a space, luckily someone was coming out at the front. Maybe a space should be reserved with a cone if you know you have guests for a night?

Good location, near several National Trust sites and not far from the M25. On-site parking. Comfortable room and a nice bar downstairs. Great breakfast, a few different options from the usual choices. Friendly staff, good shower and tea pigs and filter coffee bags in the room. Also a decent fan for the very hot weather this week.
Nothing. The room was quite hot but that's due to the weather, the staff provided us with just a sheet and blanket rather than a duvet (requested on booking as we'd seen the predicted temperatures) which was much appreciated.

The staff are very helpful. The rooms are beautiful and well maintained - this pub was renovated a few years back and they clearly did not penny pinch in making the rooms stylish and comfortable. Beds are like sleeping on a cloud. The breakfast is excellent, some hotels are annoying cutting down on breakfast things like fresh fruit. Not the case here, lots of lovely well-cooked breakfast option and fresh fruit (lovely sweet melon in winter was a treat!). In general this pub is an excellent stay. Well done to management & staff.
Pretty pricey compared to a 'usual' pub stay. But in fairness this feels more like a boutique hotel than a pub.

The George & Dragon was the perfect destination for my husband and I and exceeded all our expectations. It has been very sympathetically restored, retaining many original features. It was clean, comfortable and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The menu was unusual and not over priced and there was an extraordinary range of drinks. We opted for a deluxe room which was beautiful, being very tastefully decorated and furnished. Everything had been considered and there was even a complimentary bottle of water and sloe gin!
Nothing, it was all good!

The pub was absolutely gorgeous! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the pub itself was so cosy. We ended up eating in the restaurant after not being able to book at the Italian, and we are so glad we did. The steak was fantastic, and the dessert was fabulous. The room we stayed in was on another level—so spacious and beautiful! All the little gifts left were a lovely touch. My husband enjoyed a little whisky in the cosy private lounge, which just topped off our wonderful evening. I can't wait to return again. In fact, I'm going to book again for Mother's Day and take both my mums, plus I get to visit again! I just wish it was my local pub. I regret not taking the name of the lady who booked us in at reception. She was so friendly and a joy to chat to. If you read this, I am the lady who you spoke to about the chocolate shop and where you like to visit on weekends in Essex. You were a diamond! Can't wait to pay another visit soon. If anybody is looking to book, do it! You will not be disappointed!
Loved everything!

There is a lot to do in the area, making this a hotel central to many places of interest - in our case, Biggin Hill. The pub is comfortable, the staff friendly, our room cosy and with carefully chosen fixtures, and the breakfast was freshly cooked with many good options. We would definitely stay at The George and Dragon again.
It was a really nice touch to offer sloe gin in the room but would have been even nicer if it had come with a suitable mixer. I might actually have tried it! Also, it would be helpful to have a restaurant menu in the room.

Our room was stylishly decorated and the super king bed was very comfortable. Plenty of space and had all the facilities in the room that you would expect when you spend a night away from home. The Sloe Gin was a lovely touch.
Our room was on the cold side. We think this was because the room was over the coaching arch. The hot water was tepid and the bath was very small. We ate in the restaurant which is a lovely room with views of the hills in the distance. It was not very full so lacked a bit of atmosphere, the pub was buzzing however.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay at the George and Dragon, Westerham is charming. Our twin room was spacious, tastefully decorated, super comfy, warm and spotlessly clean. Although not sloe gin or whiskey drinkers the complementary tipples on offer are a lovely touch. We loved both the large powerful shower and products provided. Classic FM playing in the background as you enter your room is just a small thing, but for me they make a stay more memorable.
Although breakfast was worth the wait, service by the solo waitress was extremely slow and did feel a little disorganised.

Lovely decor; lots of little touches like Classic FM on low as we entered and access to a private lounge on our floor. When I booked, the room was described as a Petite Double, but if that was petite, the normal room must be massive! Two comfortable chairs and a standard lamp, as well as a tall cupboard and a large chest of drawers, but plenty of room to move around! It was a shame we didn’t have a chance to try the restaurant for an evening meal, because breakfast was delicious. Will definitely come again!
Our only niggle was that in the morning we couldn’t get hot water from the sink tap; my husband had to boil a kettle to have his shave. However when we mentioned this on check out, the manager promised us a discount for our next booking.
