The rooms were very comfortable and bigger than a number of Ibis hotels I have stayed in around the world. The staff were lovely, very friendly. There was a good breakfast. The hotel was very convenient for an early flight from Gatwick, there is a shuttle that stops outside the hotel for £5 per person or we caught a mini cab for £27 as we were a group of 4. Also there is a nice restaurant/bar in the hotel or there are a number of local pubs within walking distance serving food if you want to venture a little further.

We arrived a hour or so earlier than the check in time of 3pm. When we went to the check in desk we were told it would be an additional £20 for an early check in. It seemed expensive compared to the overall cost of the room for the night so we just waited and had a coffee at the restaurant instead.

Kind, friendly, professional service at front desk. Room plenty spacious. Bathroom a bit small but quite new. Continental breakfast offered early. Nice little bar area. Fun, quirky design of main areas. Love the little travel book library. Great to have live LGW airport arrival/departure board in lobby.

Shower is an accident waiting to happen! Pan is completely shiny and smooth, with no anti-skid whatsoever. The soap/shampoo is to the back and when you pump it, foam runs all the way across pan to drain and shower becomes a slide zone. I nearly slipped and fell thru the glass door. Super dangerous - beware! Charge for breakfast is silly. Just include it like virtually every airport hotel of this caliber does.

What I liked: The hotel communicated clearly and early on how to get there, which was very helpful. There's a convenient airport drop-off bus that picks up and drops off at the hotel on schedule—it costs £5 each way and takes about 20 minutes. The location is excellent, with a beautiful and ambient décor. Check-in was smooth and fully automated. The hotel is very clean, quiet and my room (516) had a lovely view. The shower was great with plenty of warm water, and there was a handy coffee station in the room. It’s also just a 3-minute walk to a nearby mall where you can shop or grab a meal—very convenient!

I gave one star less due to the mattress—it was thin, felt old, and dipped on one end, clearly due for replacement. The duvet was also too light for the cold weather room, which only had extra pillows, no extra blanket. I was too tired to go downstairs to request an extra blanket. Additionally, the check-in machine didn’t offer options to choose the room location—such as floor level or whether the room faced the highway or the backyard. Having these options would really improve the experience.

Although further from the airport than had been perceived via the app which meant we had to catch a taxi from the station there, the hotel was clean and efficient and catching the bus in the morning to the airport was straightforward

The room was freezing when we arrived , and it took us a couple of times asking at the desk for them to increase the temperature ( it could only be done via them) and to give as an extra duvet/blanket

Convenient location as it was only a 10 minute shuttle from the airport (costs 5 pounds one way). The shuttle runs regularly and starts early. The 24/7 self service laundry facilities were convenient and affordable. Clean and modern looking.

The space was a bit cramped for 3 people. An actual closet would’ve nice instead of some hangers on a wire grid. Staff could have provided clearer instructions on how to get to the shuttle station. Staff were a bit snippy and slow. It was also a bit annoying to have to download an app just for the laundry machines, but was glad to have the service available regardless.

Very good but location not good.

When I booked it I thought it was on the airport site! So not amused when it took us over an hour to find the bus stop and a fifty minute bone shaking journey to the hotel. It was fortunate that our flight the next day was in the afternoon. No thanks to you though. The bathroom fan was on all night and nobody seemed interested. Breakfast was ok but very shoddy as noone cleared the tables. About four of the staff were chatting the whole time! Plus when we tried to pay cash for the shuttle bus only cards were excepted. I think this should be mentioned on the advertising so you know What to expect. Not happy!!! James Brown.

I like the evening staff, he was very friendly and accommodating. The location was excellent since we were leaving out of Gatwick. The room was clean and comfy.

I didn't like that I couldn't find a phone in the room. I wanted to call down to the desk to ask for a wakeup call, but couldn't find a phone. It was also difficult to get the heating portion of the ac/ heating unit to work. Our room was cold and there were no phones in there for me to call and ask how to turn the heater on. That was my only dislike honestly.

I proposed to my girlfriend during our first vacation in Gatwick, and the experience at the Ibis Gatwick Airport was exceptional. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and Maya especially went the extra mile to make the day unforgettable. She arranged for a makeup artist and coordinated with the team to set up our room beautifully while my partner and I were out for “breakfast” in London. My girlfriend absolutely loved it! The warm reception and effort from the entire team made our stay truly special. I will definitely return to the Ibis Gatwick Airport in the future.

Tidy, clean, smart and all you needed. Staff were fantastic too and the shuttle bus to the airport saved money rather than taxi.

Property was modern, staff were super helpful, very responsive. Loved the 12pm check out - was perfect as I landed late the night before and had more time in the morning

The shuttle/bus service unfortunately ran too infrequently, meaning I would have had to had waited in the middle of the night at the bus stop for half an hour for the coach to show up, which isn’t safe for a solo female traveller so I had to resort to catching an expensive uber. If this could run more frequently this would be perfect!
