A clean and relatively comfortable hotel which of course is very much about getting an airplane in the morning. Being a short walk from the south terminal it is very good for this. Breakfast was very good (from 5:30, as of August 2025) - be aware some of the options like porridge are tucked away at the back. No complaints but room price is high mainly because of where it is.

Not at all the hotels fault but lifts in car park were dire - only one working and big queues of people and their luggage building up, making access to the hotel more difficult than necessary. Perhaps Hilton can put some pressure on the airport to fix this promptly in future-it does feel like customers are not Gatwick’s priority.

Very comfortable bed and spacious room. Really helpful and friendly waiter in the restaurant in the evening with good food. We also had breakfast, which was great to have that start to the day before travelling. Also, a real bonus to just be able to walk into the terminal to check in for our flight without even having to go outside.

Can't fault it as an airport hotel

This hotel was extremely convenient, right outside the South Terminal with a covered walkway connecting it. The room was fairly big, with everything needed. Bathroom was good. Room was very quiet. We chose it because we were flying into the South Terminal and we were taking a regional train to meet up with friends the next day. The train station is right at the entrance to the terminal. We then took the train and underground to the V and A the next day. Everything was so convenient and easy. We flew out from the North Terminal, but well signed, not a long walk to the terminal train, and as it was an early flight, the train to the terminal was not full at all. It was probably expensive but worth it for the convenience. We did not try any of the facilities or food, so can't comment on that.

The room was very light, I would have liked to be able to open the windown a little to air the room. The bed was very comfortable, I appreciated the bottles of water. The reception staff, breakfast staff all very courteous and professional. The breakfast was very good, stocking up produce right until the last minute so that the later comers still had a full buffet to choose from. Lots of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options too. I highly recommend and will definately stay again.

The lack of signage to find the lifts! We kept having to use the stairs/fire exits but couldn't get out of them all so had to go back up to the fourth floor. Great gym work out though ;)

Unfortunately I did not have time for breakfast as I had to catch an early flight to Toronto, leaving at 9.40 am the following morning. The hotel location for all flights is very convenient and I always use the Gatwick Hilton for its proximity for visiting London too. And, by the by, I worked for Hilton International for some ten years many years ago, beginning as Night Manager at the London Hilton for two years, followed by working in F & B Management at the London Hilton, Kensington Hilton, Stratford upon Avon Hilton, Paris Hilton & the Jerusalem Hilton before emigrating to Canada in 1982 with my family. I enjoyed my time working for Hilton and it was a wonderful experience and I even enjoy a small Hilton pension today.

Everything was great and the staff, whom I encountered, were all very pleasant and helpful.

Location

I think breakfast organisation should be different. People speaking non English just walked in without the understanding they needed to be allocated a table. This was because the MD was down the other end showing people where to sit. The restaurant MD showed people to their table then had a Long walk back. The queue was getting bigger and he had too much walking to do. Painful to watch. The system didn’t work. They should let people sit where they want on tables set up for the right amount of people. The bar are was busy and not that big. Also didn’t have much lager options. I enjoy Stella so ended up in Spoons for the evening.

Convenient location if you have an extended layover at Gatwick (or want to be someplace convenient to check into a flight).....

Shower tray was a little worse for wear - otherwise everything was pretty good with the room. I only stayed at the property from 1:00AM to 10:00AM so I can't comment on much else. The app "digital key" got hung up in the hotel so at one point I couldn't let myself out of the hallway...I convinced an employee to help me scan it so I could leave, as I was checking out. Not sure if the wifi issue was due to my provider or the property itself, though.

My husband and I really like to stay at the Hilton before/after our holiday flight if it goes from Gatwick Airport. Our room has always been comfortable and clean. The dinner and breakfast is exceptional and the staff are always very kind and helpful. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

The firm alarm went off at 11.30 p.m. when my husband and I were asleep. We both got up and stood outside our door ready to evacuate, as the fire doors were closed but then the alarm just stopped and we were given no explanation for the alarm going off. It wasn't a test because that was due the following day at 4 p.m. in the afternoon. Would have liked an explanation.

We stayed at the hotel ready for an early morning flight. Our room was upgraded but this meant it was at the far end of the hotel which was quite a distance from the main reception. The room was clean and very comfortable. Perfect for our needs. There is an undercover walkway from the hotel to Gatwick which is extremely convenient but the signposting from the airport isn’t great. We were dropped at the airport to drop our bags before heading to the hotel and did get a little lost trying to find the walkway (it’s much easier hotel to airport). If you’re at the airport and trying to find the hotel: Come out of the main entrance and head straight over to the car parks, turn left until you reach the first set of lifts then take it down (think it was level one but it is labelled). Then turn left and you’ll locate the walkway.

The convenience to the airport. It is so beneficial to be able to walk directly into the terminal from the hotel, without having to secure a shuttle transport.

The design of the shower controls, along with the deep sides of the tub and the glass door that can only move a couple of inches, made for an awkward shower experience. If you get the temperature just right for the bath mode, you get blasted with cold water when turning the shower on - once you actually figure out how to do so! Avoiding a soaked face and hair is impossible when taking a shower.
