The location is only 10 minutes walk from the station. The breakfast buffet is very good and most of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Some of the staff need some communication training in how to be more friendly and smile. This is in contrast with one lady who was particularly helpful and couldn't do enough to assist our every need. My main complaint is about the plumbing which had very poor water pressure and the hot taps were incapable of anything more than tepid water temperature. When I asked what was wrong with it they told me that was the best it could produce, even after running fully for 10 minutes.

Three Star but deserves more! From the moment of arrival to the final departure, all the staff were helpful, pleasant and efficient, the rooms and public spaces were clean and well cared for. In my experience all hotels have something that needs to be cleaned or painted or repaired but not with Hotel Astoria. Everything was perfect from the beginning. Breakfast was excellent and the coffee wonderful. The location is a 10 minute walk from the old town centre but the walk is well worth the effort. I can find no fault at all with this hotel and if I were to give stars I would award Hotel Astoria a 3.99 Star Rating. (Without Spa and Pool it cannot gain 4 but all so close!)

Nothing, it was all very good.

15 minute walk from the train station with suitcases. Staff were considerate and called us at 11pm to make sure we were still coming. Our train was late but they just wanted to know if we would be arriving before or after midnight so they could organise a staff member to be at the desk. Easy check in. Lift to our floor. Lovely modern room including a modern bathroom. Everything clean. Bed comfortable and was plenty spacious enough for two people unlike a lot of European beds. Easy checkout.

Not the best noise insulation but most guests were in bed by the time we arrived so we weren’t affected much.

Location - at a15 min. walking distance from the historical center, only 3min. from Porta Serata - easy to find from the high way, a good parking, no problems with the ZTL. The room - a 12-sq.m. small double room - very clean, functional, comfortable, modern and even ... spacious! Breakfast - a really verry good quality and diversity. Staff on the reception and in the breakfast room - professional and helpful! Price - verry reasonable.

The location was great for walking around Ravenna and had a cozy local cafe/bar just around the corner where you could have coffee and wine with locals. The room was very functional and had a good shower and warm towel racks. We looked forward in the morning to seeing the smiling waitress in their breakfast room and the cappucino she would promptly bring us! They had a good selection of breakfast food including lots of fruits.

We had a wonderful stay. Great value for money. Big, fully equipped room, LOTS of towels and super clean- not even a dust particle in sight! Felt so comfortable, like homeplace. Keep up the good work. Comfortable bed, we slept like babies. Free big public parking alongside the hotel.

Hotel parking situation could be better. Breakfast could be a bit more diverse. Hotel is located in a traffic area- bring earplugs with you, otherwise it is noisy during bedtime.

The hotel from the outside wasn't impressive (didn't stand alone as it appears in picture, which made it difficult to find) but the inside was beautiful. The staff were very helpful and emailed us to advise us to pre-book our transfer to our cruise ship as the hotel would not be able to get taxis on the day of our departure. They included a handy link to the transfer site, which proved to be a great service. Our room was a small double, which was beautifully decorated but too small for comfort. The bathroom was well equipped and also beautifully decorated. The continental breakfast was very tasty, with a good selection to choose from. We would stay again but book a bigger room.

The room was beautiful but too small. The room consisted of a double bed and 2 lockers which filled the width of the room. At the end of the bed there was a dressing table, chair and to the side a bench for a small suit case. The wardrobe (which contained a safe) was located just outside the bathroom.

Location: 10 minutes walk from the city center, though there is a bus stop in front of the hotel if needed. Parking: own parking slots next / behind / in front of the hotel Room: clean and spacious. Small refrigerator and air conditioning were working properly. Staff: the lady when we arrived was very helpful and friendly, with good English knowledge. Breakfast: lost of fresh fruits. Coffee is made fresh with a regular coffee bar machine, so it is like you are having breakfast in a coffee bar. Shopping: there is a EuroSpin shop 1 minute from the hotel.

The breakfast was excellent, variety of fruits. No cooked food but we preferred fruits and vegetables. Freshly made coffee. It is close to the railway station (10 min walk).

The air conditioning was not working due to the order of the mayor. This cannot be blamed on the hotel but on the mayor. The trains were airconditioned so it is hard to see why the bedrooms needed to be hot! The internet was fast, good streaming.

We booked a cruise to start at Venice and go around the Croatia and Greece , but the cruise didn’t actually leave from Venice , it leaves from Ravenna, so then we had to get from Venice airport and stay in Ravenna as we got here a day earlier We got a shuttle from Venice Marco Polo airport ( booked with booking .com , but it’s cheaper the quicker you book it ) it took about 24hrs 15 mins to get here. It was a straight forward journey and our driver was great. The hotel then organised a shuttle to take us to the port, which was about 10-15 mins away. The staff were lovely and the hotel was very clean and breakfast was nice.

The rooms were on the smaller side, but it was only for one night so it was ok. The hotel was very reasonable for what we got.
