Soundproof and comfy large bed

Very hard to find from airport and the walk was a little too far and outside. Also it’s not a room - it’s a pod - without a proper bathroom - just a toilet pod and a shower pod in the middle.

Location to the airport was very convenient for our short stay. The morning breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly. The hotel was very modern in its use of technology both in the check in and how the room was laid out and in the use of an iPad yet it was user friendly

Walking distance from the airport, modern self-check-in (with staff support, if needed), comfortable, with all amenities, fairly easy to use room control system (via iPad).

There is a meme about whether something is a hotel room or a Swedish prison cell. Initial vibes were like that (endless hallways, doors every 3 meters, a bit cold/sterile), and initially the room layout was off-putting, however once acclimated, it had a certain functional charm. The room was comfortable, well-appointed, and the overall facility was modern, functional, and with a friendly vibe.

Close to the airport. Easy check-in/out. Comfortable and convenient room. Giant bed with comfortable (and of varying firmness) pillows. Really nice shower. Really nice room environmental controls. Really friendly staff. Great coffee. Free fruit. Great, easy and free WiFi. Just generally great amenities.

My only critique is the elevator. I had hands full on my way to my room and the elevator required the key card placed on a panel that was inconveniently far from the button that had to be simultaneously depressed. I juggled a bit and everything worked out fine. If this is the worst I can come up with, that should be a pretty good indicator of how great this place was.

Everything is more than perfect at this hotel!!! The bedroom, the lounges, the services and a very good breakfast. It's super easy to walk from and to the airport, and there is a structure covering all the path, in case it rains, you are protected. The details are amazing, very interesting books in the bedroom, funny phrases on every feature, all just give you that good feeling of enjoying life. The shower is the best shower in the world, as well as the bed, pillows, and bed linen. Junior at the check-in service was more than superb, super friendly, and helpful. I wish every hotel was like this.

Awesome how easy it is to go to schiphol from here. Was raining and you can get a free umbrella, yiu cna borrow for 48 hours. As well dat you can do a self-check in. Very easy going. Room is small, but perfect for just a night. You can choose which room and on which floor you would like to have. Chose the airplane view. Rooms are soundproof, so no problem with the noise vs sleeping. Other then that it has nice features with the lights and tv.

Our tablet that controls everything wasnt working. And our sink runs a bit low, as in water doesnt go away immediatly. (room 358). I was recommended to install the mcitizen app, and it worked like a charm to still be able to control everything in the room from my phone.

Bed was great, room very comfortable and nice aspect. I like the whole CitizenM concept - I have stayed in the one in Times Square, NYC twice, but his was my first time at Schipol and everything was more spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the common spaces are lovely. Despite the number of guests and (presumably) late night arrivals, the room was quiet (even though near the lift) and I slept very well.

The ipad controlling the room was a bit old and hard to get to work because the button was pushed in and mostly unresponsive. The room had a persistent smell of toilet cleaner. Food in the cateen/bar was not cheap at all.

citizenM was perfect for our 18-hour layover in Amsterdam. It's a 2-minute walk from the terminal! Not only was the hotel convenient to the Schiphol airport and downtown, but it was spotless and well appointed. But what really makes citizenM exceptional is its staff. Everyone we came in contact with was friendly and helpful, and a few went out of their way to be kind. I accidentally left my cell phone in my room when I checked out, and one of the crew members ran to the airport to see if she could catch me! Unfortunately, she had no way of knowing how to reach me and it was time to board when I discovered that my phone was missing. When I borrowed a phone to call the hotel front desk, they promised to either hold it for me or ship it to the destination of my choice. Since I was moving around so much on my trip, I requested that they keep it so that I could (hopefully!) pick it up on my way back through Amsterdam. I was overjoyed when the stars aligned, and I was able to pick up my phone three weeks later. I wish I had the names of the team members who helped - and there were several - but this information is on the phone I borrowed for my trip. I appreciate their kindness and professionalism more than I can say. My groups will definitely stay at citizenM again!

This is NOT a criticism, but two people in my group needed to find other accommodations because they needed two beds in their room.

Hotel is conveniently located just outside Schiphol Airport, about a 5-10 minute walk from the main terminal. While on the pricier side, it’s still the most affordable option for an on-site stay, making it a good choice for travelers with early or late flights. Check-in was smooth, and the large, comfortable bed made for a good night’s rest.

The room layout is modern but quirky. The toilet and shower are located directly inside the room with little privacy, so it’s not ideal for anyone but couples or solo travelers. All room controls - lights, shades, and TV - are operated via a tablet, which sounds convenient but isn’t always practical. The tablet was occasionally unresponsive, and its bright screen in the middle of the night was disruptive. Tasks like adjusting lighting or shades took longer than they would with physical switches, which we missed for basic functions.

This capsule airport hotel is one of my favorite places to stay. It is a very short, mostly covered walk from the terminal. The beds, as at most Citizen Ms, are super duper comfortable. The sound proofing works great and you can see the runways from the side that looks at the airport. If you like just hanging out in bed while you prepare to fly, this is the place!

In my opinion this is really a room for one person - I think it would be a bit awkward to stay as a couple, as there is no privacy in the bathroom area, really. But that's the whole point of this hotel - the capsule thing, so just know what you are getting into.
