The room was lovely, very spacious and comfortable and the facilities were great.

The steps up to the hotel. It wasn’t a problem that it was on the first floor but the steps were awful. Metal and steep. Maybe if they could be changed to concrete or maybe putting some anti slip coverings on them would make them better and safer. Also a few places on stairs were not entirely safe.

Love the locations right in the town Center of Blyth you have all shops around you Takeaway & Convenience store etc and even Greggs just 5-8 mins walk distance! Easy to get transportation to connect many places like Whitley bay, morpeth, Newcastle, bedlington etc because the main Bus station there. (No Metro or Train in Blyth at the minute just yet but it’s coming soon) and Love the lock system very clever and feel safe also the owner very nice person and also breakfast bar lovely and have some juice & milk in fridge and fruits for us that so kind God blessed them. It’s very lovely place well clean. Thank you for your services will definitely be back.

I don’t like the stair before get in the properties especially when raining day so maybe need to be careful for people have knees problem and elderly.

It was very clean and had a range of good shared facilities. Better and cleaner than expected. There were good blackout curtains too, and the room was well equipped and was comfortable.

The mattress was a little old and lumpy but we both slept very well and had no issues with it. Do not really have anything at all to mention that was bad about this property. I would however, mention that it is not easily accessible for people not steady on their feet due to the metal staircase at the entrance.

Looking at previous reviews I was sceptical but I am happy to say the owners have spent and are spending money to uprate the accommodation. The room was clean and in very good condition with a large TV and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was continental style with toast, cereals and fruit available with a microwave for if you had your own food. Wetherspoons was a 5 minute walk away as was the town centre so evening meals were easily obtained. The owner was more than happy to assist with anything I needed and I will certainly use the Tavern B & B again when next in the area.

I can say that we were pleased with Aidan's service as well as with the room. The Tavern is centrally located in the town and is very nicely renovated. Also, the breakfast is quite rich, while it has WiFi and the rooms are very warm. Negative for some might be the shared bathrooms and that the checkout is at 11 in the morning (note: for us it was). Definitely worth staying if you don't want something expensive and in a good location.

I was on a cycle tour and really pleased they had a secure yard where I could pick my bike. Room was amazing for the price. Large, gorgeous furnishings and nice touches. Host was friendly and the place seemed to run like clockwork, everything thought out to cause everyone the least fuss.

I was sure I'd booked an en-suite but maybe it said private bathroom and I misunderstood. Bathroom and shower facilities were clean and just along carpeted hallway.

Staff was very friendly and flexible, room was clean as well as shared bathroom and toilet. Bed was very comfy. Fitted very well the description on the website. Breakfast was good (self serving buffet, quite varied foodstuff). Walking distance from a pub for food and drinks.

Tiny thing: the plugs were not situated close to bed or kettle.

I was pleasantly surprised by how large our room was. It was very spacious. It was clean and everything smelled fresh. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was a great little selection of cereals, toast, fruits etc. I thought that this place was great value for money. I enjoyed our little stay here.

Obviously this can't be helped at all, but shared toilets and showers. It won't stop us staying again and if there were bathrooms in the rooms then it would take away from the room size. Just a little inconvenient especially with kids needing the loo in the night. But like I say, can't be helped.

We had a very comfortable three night stay. The shared bathroom and kitchen areas are kept clean, and the bedroom was comfortable and very spacious. There is a breakfast bar with fruit, cereal bars, etc which was very convenient. 10 minutes walk to the harbour area.

Nothing really, for the price it is very good value. For some people a lack of elevator could be difficult.

Location is great so close to the bus station. Room was very clean. Tea,coffee ,biscuits, toffees in the room. Help yourself to the continental breakfast in the morning. Shared toilets and showers were nice and clean. All in all a great place to stay and great value for the reasonable rate you pay
