The staff were very friendly,helpful and welcoming.I stayed with my husband for two nights on our fifth wedding anniversary. The room was nice,everything was clean,lovely shower and a TV,just across the car park from the pub. The bed was very comfortable and there was water,tea and coffee and bonus hot chocolate :D Bonus points for having a hairdryer in the drawer and mini fridge. Sadly no WiFi in the rooms but no big deal :) - available in the restaurant next door We met the owners as we were about to leave I believe but either way super friendly,lovely people. I only managed to take a photo of the bed haha but either way it was lovely. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We didn't use the restaurant only to have a quick drink but the food looked and smelled nice.(Will definitely sample a Sunday roast hopefully next time) :D Seemed busy too but did not impact the ability to sleep in any way.

Bathroom very nice, so clean and all in working order. Fridge with free mineral water in can. Bed and mattresses are so comfy. Coffee, tea, milk and kettle included for free. Its a bonus. TV but no time to watch. We're allowed to bring our own baby cot for our grandaughter 6 month of age and just perfect with big space in room. Breakfast was massive portion and it lasts us until afternoon. Few choices of breakfast and we chose vegetarian. Big car park and our room just closed to the mainroad but once door and window shut we cannot hear any noise. Wish could stayed longer but even for only one night we're so happy with the accommodation and staffs are superb and very friendly. Might come back if ever we plan to go to Amble for a fresh seafood even we are almost 3 hour away but worth everything. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay at the Half Moon Inn. The staff were all exceptional. They managed to squeeze us in for dinner at short notice (Sunday roast - very good quality), then let us join their weekly quiz night. Really good atmosphere in the pub, everyone was very friendly. Great location too, perfect for exploring the Northumberland coast. The room itself was really comfy and a great size - we had everything we needed in there. Wish we could have stayed for longer but would definitely stay their again.

The food was excellent. the pie was the best that I have had that comes in a dish. the other meals were really good. Breakfast was excellent and the service was really good. The room was a short walk away from the pub, this was ideal as it was easy to get to but you didn't get the noise form the pub that would keep you awake.

The room was basic but ok as it was used as a base. it could have done with a bit of a touch up and the toilet seemed to be filling up all the time but it didn't seem a problem.

A really excellent stay. When we arrived, the allocated room had just been redecorated. It needed some cleaning work following the decoration. The staff bent over backwards to sort it immediately and made it all seamless and not a problem. We really say a big thank you for your positive, get it done attitude. Nice pub, with excellent food. Spotless and comfortable room. Excellent staff all round working hard to make everyone feel welcome.

Great food and drinks quality at the Half Moon Pub with pleasant outdoor seated area Great friendly staff and service at the Half Moon Pub. Discounts off drinks and food freebies when playing Spin The Wheel during Happy Hour. Ability to store our bikes safely in our ground level chalet room. Clean, conveniently located room and comfortable beds. Nice comfy armchair!

A bit more choice at breakfast like fruit or pastries, but the cooked breakfast was very good

The bed was a good size and comfortable. The room itself was spacious. I loved the mini fridge. Breakfast was good too. Plenty of choices. It’s in a good location.

One side of the room was dark when you closed the curtains. We had to put the bathroom light on and leave the door open. A small wall light or lamp would be ideal. The bathroom mirror could do with being lifted a few inches. My hubby, who’s tall, had to bend down to shave.

The breakfast was very good, very good value , cooked just how we requested, nothing was too much trouble. Would certainly recommend

The only thing I can would address would be, explain that the pub/restaurant does get busy at times, so it’s best to book a table even if you just want a drink, there was a private party the night we stayed and at first we were told we couldn’t stay for a drink but then said if we came back half an hour later a table would be available, so we were lucky otherwise it would have been an early night for us.

Excellent for anyone with dogs easy access to beaches walks parks

The shower, husband could not fit through the doors it’s very slim gap it could be easily fixed by replacing one door with a curtain allowing larger person fit and allow movement

The rooms are separate to the pub which meant there was no disturbance. The room was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated with seating provided inside and outside the property. The food in the pub is delicious and huge portions. All the staff were really lovely and I could tell they all enjoyed their work
