Our stay in Malta was truly outstanding. We spent 7 nights there. The hotel is small and charming, yet very modern and still very new. The hotel fits perfectly into the beautiful harbor view of Marsaxlokk. Marsaxlokk is a very authentic Maltese village without large tourist hotel buildings and fewer tourists than in other parts of Malta. We really liked that. There is a market every day and a large market on Sundays right at the harbor. Breakfast was served every morning on the roof terrace, with the best view. You had the choice between 3 dishes. Omelette, Continental and English Breakfast. Fresh orange juice, coffee as desired and toast with jam were served every day. The owner really left nothing to be desired and sat down with us every day after breakfast to give us information about sights and help us. Very accommodating and hospitable! The room was cleaned daily. We felt very comfortable and welcome. Our room was the perfect size for a couple's vacation. This is one of those accommodations that I will look at on Booking in 2-3 years and be amazed at how cheaply I booked it. A real insider tip!

Everything from the reception and information given by the host to the fantastic breakfast in the morning on the rooftop terrace, you get three choices, and we can vouch for the Full English and the Continental one, no doubt that the Omelette would also be good, but we never tried it The place is spotlessly clean, and cleaned everyday, even glasses and cups if the have been used. Another good thing is the that you don´t need any keys or keycards. You get a code and that works for your room and the entrance door for the duration of your stay... Finally quiet good aircon. Marsaxlokk and surroundings are beautiful for walking and swimming. We recommend Kalanka as a spot for swimming, more relaxing than far fewer people than at St. Peters Pool, both are stunning. And the walks there and back and to Marsaskala and along the cliffs is very nice indeed.

Host: Russell came to the guesthouse to let me in, although my flight was late and I did not arrive until after midnight. Throughout my stay, he answered all my questions, and gave me some excellent recommendations. Location: I was so pleased that I chose Marsaxlokk to stay and La Reggia as my accommodation. No high rise buildings, and although there are a lot of tourists in the daytime, there are far fewer in the evenings. Easy to get elsewhere on the island by using the local buses, which stop very close by. Many choices of restaurant minutes away. Facilities: I loved my room and balcony overlooking the sea. The super king size bed was very comfortable and I slept well. The bathroom was huge, with a large shower cubicle, with constant hot water. TV with Netflix, which was a bonus. The building was only renovated three years ago, so everything functions well and looks new. Rooms cleaned every day to a very good standard. Russell cooks a choice of breakfast each morning, which was delicious and filling. I had no need of lunch whilst I stayed there.

Overall, our stay here was great! The host was extremely friendly and helpful, clearly explaining everything and even giving us tips on what to see in the area. Although we hadn't booked breakfast, he kindly offered to make us coffee on the terrace in the morning. It was also great that, as well as having a balcony, we had access to a spacious terrace where we could dry our towels and swimsuits without worrying about them falling onto the street. On our departure day, we were able to store our luggage while we explored the surroundings before our flight, which was really convenient. The location was very good — even St. Peter’s Pool wasn’t too far to reach on foot.

The room was small, but perfect for a one-night stay. The bed was slightly uncomfortable, but this wasn't a major issue.

Russell was a friendly and welcoming host who clearly takes great pride in his business. The room was spotlessly clean and in a great location overlooking the harbour. A lovely choice of breakfast options freshly prepared and served on the rooftop terrace. This is the perfect place to stay after a few days exploring Valletta. Boat trips to St Peter’s Pool, amazing seafood restaurants, and a pleasant sandy beach all within walking distance. Proximity to the airport makes this a perfect spot for a relaxing end to any Malta holiday. Thank you Russell, we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back for a longer stay next time.

The location of the guesthouse is superb.Most of the rooms have a direct see view. Our room was spotlesly clean and tided up nicely every morning.Bed was comfortable and we slept very well.Great breakfirst was served by the host Russell every morning at a sunny terrace facing the see. His omlet is out of this world.Strongly reccomend.Russell is very knowledgebale about the local area and Malta as a whole and his advices helped us to enjoy good food and to visit great places.Thank you very much Russell.

Russel the owner is very friendly and his breakfasts are delicious.Lots of seafood restaurants to choose from and short distance to and from airport .Excellent bay view from room and terrace.

This was an incredible stay in Malta, and the highlight was undoubtedly the amazing hospitality provided by the host. They were super friendly and relaxed, always available to help with anything we needed, from local tips to any special requests. The location is great, just a short walk to the coastline with charming boats and restaurants, making it perfect for a relaxing seaside atmosphere. Waking up every morning to a fresh, delicious breakfast prepared by the host was such a great way to start the day. You can really feel how much care they put into making sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. If we come back to Malta, this will definitely be our first choice!

Totally renovated in 2011, this small 5 bedroom 3 story house on the waterfront is smart, spotless, stylish and a gem. The rooms are not huge (placing 2 suitcases might be a problem), but the renovation/restoration has been done with care and style. The bed is large and comfortable, the bathroom and walk-in shower modern, and the included breakfast served on the rooftop terrace is among the best we've had - and served by the friendly (and attractive!) young owner. Located right on the waterfont, this is an ideal place to stay.
