Worthy of 5* rating. Ms Winnie? Wang brought us tea in the library at check-in, set up the room with shower chair AND toilet seat handles, all without us asking. Had correct # robes and slippers. Everyone there was just friendly, helpful, smiling, and always deferential to grandpa. Owner walked in the front entrance while we were waiting for our taxi at check-out and she asked if we would like water or tea. Seriously, what hotel owner DOES that?? Room was newer, modern, and exceptionally clean, including the hot springs soaking tub. The Beitou hot springs water does not make your fingertips wrinkled. 30 minute muscle relaxation massage was excellent, at 55usd. Overall, stay was pricy, but you absolutely get what you pay for in this case!

It's on a little hill. They have complementary shuttles to the MRT and I believe to town?, but if you want to walk back, it will be a good workout.

Facilities are great, well maintained. We had hotpot for dinner which was also very delicious. We had some hiccups but Mr Yang, the director in charge walked extra miles to comfort us and shared his views on making the hotel a better place for guests.

Staff, especially frontline ones, are relatively inexperienced, resulting in some failures in service delivery, though attitude was good.

A good variety of fruits for breakfast. The semi-buffet cold dishes are covered with transparent lids giving a very hygienic impression. The reception lady staff had attention to customer details. She offered me a birthday present by surprise. Convenient half hourly shuttle bus service to train stations on weekends. But even walking is only about 10 minutes to the nearest New Beitou Station.

A bit odd to find no soap at bathroom basin. I took the body lotion by mistake.

Relaxing vibe/ hot spring. Clear, kind and nice reception. Breakfast in good quality. Quick email respond and considerate manner shown even after we check out.

Service in both western and Shabu shabu restaurant is disappointing. Stand in front of the restaurant for a long time before serving. Cannot provide clear and appropriate information and option for us to choose. Frequent dish collection service that made us cannot enjoy our dinner.

Our 5-day stay at The Gaia Hotel Taipei was amazing! The hotel itself was lovely, with decorative touches that were aesthetically pleasing. The rooms were also clean, comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed the facilities tremendously - spa, gym, hot springs, sauna and steam room! And the restaurants served really delicious cuisine. But what was most memorable was the exceptional service we received. The staff was unfailingly warm and caring, and took the effort to learn about my family and our preferences. They made us feel so welcomed and at home! In particular, they took great care of our wheelchair-bound mother and made every effort to ensure that she enjoyed her stay. Worthy of mention are Candy, Tracy, Tina Zheng, Shi Hwan Hong, and Julian at the restaurant who were attentive, friendly and super helpful; Winifred, Sean, Charles Liu, Darren Liu and Evan Lin at the front desk who were always prompt in responding to our requests and remarkably astute in anticipating our needs and ensuring that we had a wonderful time; and Rain Chen who cheerfully helped our mother into our car each morning and spoke to her with such care and kindness. These staff members are a huge credit to the hospitality industry! We highly recommend The Gaia Taipei if you are looking for a really special time in Taipei!

The breakfast, the hotsprings were very good.

The location is on a hill, requires alot of walking. The amenities did not felt luxurious, the hotspring for men did not had the snow machine as advertised, and they close the outdoor hotspring without announcing anything. Overall too expensive for the quality you get, specially when comparing to other locations in Beitou.

The break was good ! My 10 year old daughter asked if they could offer hot chocolate drink for the kids and add pastries and waffles :-)

Shuttle bus is advertised for pick up at airport but this service is not available. Please clarify this in your advertising that pick up can be arranged at customers cost.

The hotel corresponds to its description, well located, great staff. The only thing is that food was not amazing (included breakfast, diner) for the value.

Excellent location, top of the hill and quiet. Small hotel fairly new, reminds me of some boutique hotels in Japan. Friendly staff most speaks English. easy access to town and two MRT stations. We traveled with an infant and a 4yo, highly recommend for family travelers. Hot spring is clean, breakfast has good international food to choose from, if we ever come back Beitou sure will book again.

The shuttle bus was great on the weekends! The breakfast was pretty good too, but the best part is the private hot springs bath

I wish the shuttle bus had more times in the morning and evening during the weekdays. I also wish the location wasn't up a steep hill
