I had a flawless stay in a well-appointed room (Junior Suite). The check-in was flawless, thanks to the reception staff who were all keen to please. The hotel itself is well-appointed, and the decor provides the right ambience for relaxation and leisure. The room, huge with all that one may need, and there was even a welcome fruit basket to top it all off. The restaurants are top-class, and the food served (with a quite long list of choices) is always freshly cooked to order. However, the highlight is definitely the breakfast. With a wide variety of options, from local delicacies to western and asian cuisine and more, there is something for everyone and every taste. In short, a pleasant stay at a very appealing hotel, and I would definitely stay there if in Addis Ababa in the future. A special shout-out to Mr Tewodros Taye (Room Division) and Ms Makda (reception) for being help and kind when needed.

Had a great stay at Elily Hotel. The whole experience was just lovely, everything was clean, peaceful, and well taken care of. Big thanks to Tewodros for the warm welcome and kindness throughout. Special thanks to Habib for his top-notch service. Really appreciated the flexibility during Ramadan, especially with sohour — it made a big difference. This property was all I wanted after a hectic week of camping. The location itself is one of the best thing. The staff are so kind and welling to do whatever it takes to make your trip a unforgettable one. Clean rooms, detailed room service keepers. I was about to book the king room when Mr. Tewodros offered his intrusion in choosing the Jr. Suite for a remarkable ending of my trip. His customer obsession and dedication to deliver the best results added the perfect finishing of this trip.

Also thank you for picking me from and dropping to the airport. The rooms were clean I love it, though a bit cold, you can add a room heater. Also the services were amazing, breakfast was good and the room cleaning were good.

The room was good, breakfast was great with traditional foods, very clean hotel with very friendly staff who were willing to assist whenever i needed something to be sorted. Hotel has a airport pick up and drop off in case one needs a more reliable safe travel to and from the hotel. Very good communication especially when power went off due to a national grid problem.

One day there was power blackout due to a national grid issue. The hotel had to utilize a generator and the generator had to be put off at mid night to allow it to cool off. The hotel did communicate but if you came in in during the hours of cooling off, then you have to bear with the hotel.

We stayed here with our kids for a week and highly recommend this hotel. The service is excellent and professional. The hotel is well guarded, and we felt very safe throughout our stay. The rooms are cleaned and the towels refreshed daily. Breakfast is varied and delicious, with a wide selection of fruits and juices, and a buffet featuring Ethiopian and other cuisines. The heated pool and spa facilities are outstanding. The hotel lobby is spacious and attractive, featuring impressive works of art on the walls. Both the restaurant and room service are of high quality. The airport shuttle service for pickup and drop-off is punctual and professionally handled. The hotel is centrally located, with most attractions easily accessible. All in all, we can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel — especially if you're traveling with kids.

The friendly staff guided us to a spacious and pleasant room, and the housekeeping was done cleanly every day. The breakfast menu was almost all delicious, and the cafe in the lobby and the traditional coffee were enough to enjoy Ethiopia. The hotel location felt safe in a cleanly maintained area, and it was also good to enjoy around the hotel as there was a delicious bakery cafe located near the hotel.

There were frequent power outages. This wasn't just a problem with the hotel, though, and it seems to be due to the weather and regional factors. With the hotel's own security guidelines, the hotel guard raised the issue of the local beer I bought to bring as a souvenir the day before departure. I understand the hotel's own regulations, but I need flexible guidelines for foreign tourists. The reception manager's flexibility allowed me to keep the souvenir beer. Thank you for being flexible.

Nice Ethiopian hotel, great location in Kazangi, next door to UN and ministries. Nice restaurant, room service 24/7, amazingly accommodating and helpful staff. Good internet connection and overall nice interior with plenty of space. Free ugrade upon arrival which is nice. Great views on upper floors and a small balcony. Good steam room and nice massages in the spa area. The pool area was also nice. Plenty of ATMs in the lobby area and traditional Ethiopian coffee offered.

The furnishings are dated, the shower in the junior suite was quite old. The carpet on the floor is also quite dated and needs thorough cleaning. Overall the feeling is that the hotel is past its glory days. It’s not a five star hotel but more of a four star one.
