Wonderful friendly welcome from a husband and wife couple. The property, which is like two detached houses linked together is immaculate. The upstairs room used the space well, delicious and interesting breakfasts with a view over Portstewart Strand. Lovely rural farming environment with dairy cows to watch your steps up the driveway. Bus stop at the end of the lane meaning you can join the Coleraine to Portrush buses easily. There is plenty to do in the area: Portstewart and Portrush have plenty going on and further up the coast Bushmills and the Giant's Causeway are in striking distance by bus.

The property is some distance outside Portstewart itself and the walk into the centre to find restaurants and cafes takes about 40 minutes.

Breakfast was fantastic all fresh plenty of choice with quality ingredients a credit to the owners. Location is perfect just down a lane on outskirts of Portstewart with bus stop at the end of the lane going to seafront one way and Coleraine the other.Ten minute walk to supermarket if you wanted anything. Branded tea,coffee and biscuits refreshed daily along with milk and water in the rooms fridge. Room also has safe if you wanted use of it.

Not much to be honest...

Sean and his family make guests feel very welcome in their lovely home. My room was amazing. So beautifully decorated, with all I could need, including some home baked cookies and fresh milk in the fridge which made my teas and coffees perfect. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable and I got the best sleep I have had in months. The location is a short distance from both Portstewart town centre and Coleraine and the on-site parking is easy to navigate. Convenient for the beautiful Coastline etc. inc The Giant’s Causeway, Dark Hedges and Portstewart Strand. The breakfast was excellent, with a great choice of tasty freshly prepared foods - some home baked (Irene’s wheaten bread is fantastic and the porridge etc., made breakfast a real treat). I will definitely return to Carnalbanagh House.

Friendliness of the owners. They made me vegan banana bread which was a lovely and appreciated touch. They even got me vegan yoghurt but I was full from the delicious porridge. I will come back if I need accommodation in the area.

Nothing. Everything was absolutely fantastic. Well worth staying. None of that ridiculous check in with a code and collect your key from a box. Here we were welcomed by the owner and shown to our room. I hope it always remains the case!

This B&B is amazing, the room we stayed in had recently been redecorated to a very high standard. The bed was so comfortable & huge in size. The room had tea & coffee facilities with a mini fridge with fresh milk for the tea & water also provided. The breakfast menu provided great choice including porridge or homemade pancakes/waffles or full Ulster fry. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast we had the Ulster fry. It was delicious & even included homemade potato & soda bread made by the host's wife. Overall this B&B is excellent in every way. We highly recommend a stay at this B&B.

The rooms were very well equiped clean and comfortable, everything worked as it should. Tea, coffee, biscuits and fresh milk were provided as was the use a kitchen if required. The breakfast choice was wide, varied and first class value. We were travelling in our pre war vintage cars so the excellent car park was important to us. Our hosts Shaun and Irene were most welcoming, friendly and helpful.

There was nothing not to like.

What a beautiful house! so lovingly and thoughtfully furnished and decorated. We stayed in "glens room' which was just so comfortable and beautifully appointed. Bed was super comfortable and everything very high quality from the bedding to the biscuits! Breakfast was lovely. Would highly recommend and would go back again to stay longer.

The whole experience was 5 star. What a lovely friendly couple. The room was pristine clean, the bed was very comfortable. Fluffy soft white towels, excellent tea, coffee making facilities with real milk, ice cold drinking water. Full Irish breakfast was scrumptious. The countryside views were amazing. Definitely plan to revisit.

We loved the host and liked this was owned by a lovely and welcoming family. The rooms are immaculate and a lot have been newly decorated to such a high standard. The breakfast was lovingly prepared and it was delicious! By far the owners really stood out to us they were just so lovely, thank you for such a beautiful stay

Absolutely everything! Our second stay at Carnalbanagh House and everything was absolutely excellent, the location is wonderful. The room was beautiful with amazing views and the breakfasts were delicious with so much choice, and all home made. The hosts Shaun and Irene were fantastic and so welcoming, we will definitely return why stay anywhere else!

There is nothing not to like about Carnalbanagh House, it is absolutely wonderful. If you don’t chose to stay here you are certainly missing out on the best B&B in Port Stewart with the most perfect hosts.
