nice room comfortable bed clean bedding

i had been up for work at 3.30am travelled 220 miles for work purposes after a days work went to the hotel my room was at the front of the hotel above the bar so i heard all the loud music loud conversations till just after 10pm also could close the internal double glazing it was broken so heard people outside talking when having cigarettes also traffic noise . the shower would not heat up in the morning 5.45am not sure if its linked to the boiler timer .

Very clean and newly decorated, staff were very friendly, we ate in the restaurant and the food was all home cooked, hot and very good value, drinks were very cheap by comparison to where we live. In the evening they had a band playing and we enjoyed the whole evening even though we were the only “non-locals” in attendance. Everyone there seemed very friendly and we felt totally at home, even the twenty something village idiot with his girlfriend who took great delight in acting like a prat, was quite funny looking back on it, he obviously doesn’t get out of the village too much

Comfortable Twin room with shower/toilet ensuite. There was plenty of room for luggage, hanging space for clothes, TV on the wall, and there was also a handy desk. Soap, shower gel and towels were also supplied. Parking was in the square opposite the pub. No charge for parking and was relatively easy to get a parking space when we arrived. There is a clock in the square that chimes on the hour, this being said, once we closed our windows at night, you couldn't hear it. We also ate in the pub restaurant the evening we arrived, and the meal was tasty, plentiful, and good value for money. Everyone that worked there, that we had any interaction with, was friendly and courteous. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Woolpack.

The only thing I would change about my visit there, is I do wish they did breakfast.

Comfortable rooms. The hosts of this lovely pub were very friendly and welcoming. Tea/coffee fresh towels and toiletries was very much appreciated.

Food was very good, room comfortable maybe a little dated but no issues

Most of the staff were lovely, especially the young waitress. One member of the team came across as abrupt no customer service skills, possibly in charge (?)

We stayed there as we were fishing locally. We were welcomed by the team on site who were all great. The room was spotless. Due to our late arrival we missed out on dinner as the kitchen had closed but they said we could get a takeaway and eat it in the pub or in the outside area which was great.

Warm local welcome from the staff and locals inside the pub. Safe parking out side for my truck. Petrol and diesel sold from the shop next door if you needed fuel.

Was not aware that tea were not included on certain days where the Kebab shop was the only place to get an evening meal on a Tuesday night. No issues otherwise

Breakfast although stated on the booking, was no longer offered at the Woolpack. Everything else was fantastic and they directed us to a small cafe where we could get breakfast

It was a nice friendly pub, where locals come who were happy to chat. The room was clean, nicely decorated, a view over town square (nice for me as an overseas tourist), bed very comfortable. Good hot water and shower pressure. Good tea and coffee facilities in room.
