1st time staying here at THE CHESTNUTS HOLIDAY COTTAGES Everything - Primrose cottage was beautiful, it was just perfect for me and my family. Very clean and had everything you needed. It had an enclosed garden for our dog Bailey. It also has some lovely dog walk routes! Chestnut Cottages is a working farm, lots of lovely animals for kids to meet and feed. (Supervised by staff). Fresh eggs in the morning (yummy) from the chicken. Also has a lovely play park enclosed for the kids to play, even the older ones. Kids can go on tractor rides etc at certain times of the week/day. If you haven’t guessed it’s PERFECT FOR FAMILIES AND OUR FURRY FAMILY TOO !! BONUS - Free fast WiFi in the cottages Location - was an 18 minute drive from Skegness and Ingoldmells. You could have the hustle and bustle in the day and then tranquility in the evening.

The bathroom kept flooding the shower tray is not deep enough the shower curtain is to far over so all the water went all the floor so had to mop it every time we had a shower trouble with the cooker kept blowing the lights the conservatory door does not close properly at the bottom the tv looks like it is on the way out it as three lights on the screen these were minor things but it didn't spoil our holiday

The Willow Cottage was lovely, clean, nicely decorated and well equipped! It was actually better than what we were expecting from the photos. Also, all of our requests (cot, late checkout) were quickly resolved and acted on by the friendly owner. Great place for a getaway with family or friends and great value for money!

The only improvement would be to provide a tea towel/kitchen roll in the kitchen but that was only a minor inconvenience!

House was perfect for 6 adults and a 3 year old. House was spotless.Plenty of cooking utensils. Had everything we needed

As knew we wouldn't get there for check in 9-3. Had advised of this but didn't get a reply back with accommodation details until 2.45 on day of arrival and we were travelling as 3 separate parties Check out time of 9:30 was very early - never had to be out by this time anywhere we have stayed

The property was cosy and had everything you needed for a nice stay. Upstairs are 3 rooms; one room is right at the back and you had to go through the first room to reach it so maybe not so suitable when Friends stay together but for a family it was perfect.

It would have been great to have a welcome note which contains certain information and the WiFi password for ease. We did eventually find it in front of the laundry room.

Lovely, spacious, immaculate cottage. Well laid out. Kitchen utilities were all you need. Great garden. Lovely view of the cows in the field. Very peaceful surroundings. Burgh Le Marsh was lovely. Easy drive into Skegness. Staff friendly and helpful if needed. Already booked for next year.

There was nothing to dislike.

The private garden with view of the open fields and being able to watch and listen to the activity of the rabbits cattle and birds

There was a strong fusty smell on entering the living room and bathroom areas There were mice droppings in the boiler cupboard The conservatory opening windows when opened displayed a lack of cleaning The conservatory double glazing has blown on four of the glazed units The information booklet is not up-to-date some information going back to 2019

Primrose cottage was so cozy and truly felt like a home from home. Claire and the staff was so friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Having the laundry facilities available was very handy. All of us loved seeing the animals especially cheeky Rosie the goat. The country walk was enjoyed by myself and my two older children. Will definitely look to book to come again.

No complaints from any of us.

Willow cottage looked brand new and was spotlessly clean. Perfect for 3 families with teenagers to meet up. Games room with table tennis, darts and an old pool table. Stroking the friendly goats and tiny horse each night when we walked around the fishing lake. Village walkable in 10 mins. Bakery, nice pubs with food, coop and Chinese takeaway. Comfy and clean patio furniture.

Great place for a relaxing break. We've been going for about 30 years. Lovely staff/owners. The cottages are comfortable. Children love interacting with the animals. There are opportunities to feed the animals. We tend to stay mainly around the pond, weather permitting but it's an ideal base for trips out. Plenty of places to eat whether in the village or within a few miles if you are prepared to travel. Blacksmiths Arms at Skendleby is worth trying for a meal if you are prepared to pay a bit more than the average pub price. The Fleece in Burgh village is a traditional pub with a welcoming landlady and good food. Holmes butchers is excellent if you are planning on cooking. The bakery/tearoom in the village, has proper custard slices on a Friday! You can order them. If you like to browse "collectibles/antiques" there is a centre in Burgh where people hire space to sell items. I usually find something. Wide range of items from books, jigsaws to pottery and garden implements.

The bed was a bit firm for me, however that's personal taste. You can't please everyone!
