We cannot rate this place high enough. My family spent a week here. We got to see every apartment, and the upgrades here are just beautiful. We were upgraded to a kitchen apartment, and I am so grateful for that gift, although our first room was absolutely beautiful and if I was travelling without little kids, it would be my perfect destination room. I love Modern art Deco, and the bathroom was huge. It's the perfect distance to anything you want to do. The local people were lovely, and some great local shopping or eateries. There is a good sushi place in the lobby. 10 minutes from the billabong zoo, 10 minutes from the Koala sanctuary, zip lining and tree nets, a few minutes from Timberland, or 10 to 15 minutes from Port Macquarie. The staff at The Star are 5☆. So lovely and brilliant at their job, helped us with anything and everything, even remaking our rooms, set up my children's toys to make them giggle every afternoon we returned back. Noone wanted to leave.

What we didn't like? Apart from leaving? I'm not a fan of the new online contact less way of being, this accomodation is set up in this format, but the owner, Terri met me personally and went through everything. An absolute legend. So I have no gripes about anything at all. It was the best holiday vacation spot ever. The kitchen had limited cooking utensils if you are a gourmet chef, but for the normal everyday person, it's perfect. Oven. 4 cook tops, microwave, big fridge and freezer, heaps of cupboard space, dishwasher, double sink, kettle, toaster, coffee machine.

The apartment was exceptional. Very clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was one of the nicest I’ve ever seen, took me a while how to work out the shower because it had so many features but it was so worth it. The spa was also fantastic. Check in was contactless and was seamless. There is a lift for those with mobility issues or loads of luggage. Lovely cafe across the road for breaky and a great steak at the pub on the corner. A massive 70 or 80 inch TV in the lounge room and another in the bedroom. Internet was super fast. I was in Wauchope for work but would definitely go back with my wife for a weekend away. I cannot recommend this place enough. You won’t be disappointed. Have included extra photo of bathroom and lounge room rather than lobby and outside as labeled

The Star Apartments ate beautifully restored and updated spaces in a stylishly repurposed art deco building. Our apartment (No 4) was spacious , had a large balcony overlooking the Main Street, and had what appeared to be brand new furniture and towels and bedding. The wallpaper and feature painting was elegant and calming. The bathroom was large, with double sinks and a very large shower. The main ( smart) TV was an excellent size. The apartment had a coffee machine and secure off street parking. A pub and restaurants are in walking distance.

The bed was only a double. There are no cooking facilities.

I did request a fully wheelchair assessable room and unfortunately there was no seat in the shower so my mum wasn’t able to shower. I opened the third drawer in the kitchen area and found a half eaten pasty box

The apartments we had were very clean and spacious. Good communication for check-in. Only issue was our bathroom was a disabled bathroom and the others had nice showers and baths in our group. Other than that there was a little bit of damage to doors however overall the place more than met our expectations And Beyond

The disabled shower when we knew that other people had lovely bathrooms. However, if we couldn’t compare we wouldn’t have known but because we were a large group we compared bathrooms LOL. Everything else was great though.

It was quiet and private with secure parking, close to everything in Wauchope. Instructions for self-check-in were clear and easy to follow. The apartment was nicely appointed with a good sized kitchen and well stocked with bathroom products.

Only one minor thing. I wanted to make a stir fry for 2 and the pan just wasn’t big enough. No real problem as we found a great Italian Trattoria just across the road and had a great night out instead.

This place was absolutely stunning and our stay was the best ! I am a regular visitor to Wauchope and I must admit, at first when I knew the accomodation was above the old pub, I was a bit hesitant, but WOW ! This place is amazing. Right in the heart of Wauchope, but very quiet. It was so comfortable and spacious and the bathroom is one of the best I have seen ! We had a takeaway meal from our favourite Chinese restaurant, which is just downstairs and hubby and I just chilled in our apartment, with our gorgeous meal and a bottle of wine. We will DEFINITELY BE STAYING THERE AGAIN

Centrally located in the main street of Wauchope you have your pick of good places to eat and shops to meander through. There is a self check in system so the only staff we saw was housekeeping. A lovely lady who did check on us the morning after we arrived to ensure we had all we needed. We were able to contact the manager easily enough via phone or text. The parking is secured with a gated area accessed with a code and the accommodation is spacious, modern and clean. Comfy bed, modern bathroom (our bathroom looks like it is the one shown in their photos, that has the brown floor tiles and the vanity with black siding), spacious lounge, kitchen/dining area with full size fridge and all the amenities you could hope for. We were in "Apartment with Terrace" (#7 from memory) and faced away from the main street toward the back of the building. We actually had use of 2 terrace areas that both had tables and chairs, but unfortunately, we were a bit busy and didn't get the time to enjoy that space. Air conditioning was terrific (same brand as we have at home - Mitsubish Heavy Industries) and quiet, plus TVs in both the lounge and bedroom. Would definitely stay here again when in Wauchope.

With 2 Fire Stations (Fire & Rescue NSW Wauchope Fire Station & Rescue AND NSW Rural Fire Service) within 700 meters of the location there are plenty of sirens going off during the day. Fortunately, during the night things seemed to quiet down and we didn't have noise disturbing our sleep. Something to note is that there is no hair dryer supplied in this apartment (in fairness it is not listed as being one of the facilities available. It just never dawned on me that there wouldn't be a hair dryer available... LOL ;) ).

Well, it is a very spacious apartment. Location wise, it is located at the town center and not very far from the highway. Only 7 units make the accommodation quite exclusive. The hotel offer 2 free bottle water. Sheridan towels were used though a bit old.

We booked 2 rooms. 1, room 2 - there is no air conditioning in the bedroom. Only living room has an air conditioner. 2, room 6 - bathroom has no place to put my cream/lotion etc. Living room floor becomes very slippery if a few water drops from bathroom. 3, flat sheet in room 6 has stain marks.

The decor was a bit of fun. The apartment and the whole building had been renovated in art deco style. Included a lift to the next floor. Good instructions sent about entry to our apartment.

It was strange not to have a kitchen in an apartment. There were dishes provided but you would have to wash them up in the bathroom without detergent and there was a fee if dirty dishes were left. We ate out so not a problem for us.
