We got off to a bumpy start as the room we booked required some maintenance so we were moved to another room for the first 2 nights of our 8 night stay. The room we were moved to was meant to be an upgrade. After checking in we were not happy with the room so we spoke with the duty manager and expressed our concerns and asked this to be rectified the next day. To the credit of the staff and especially the duty manager Yuni, they rectified the situation by the next day. They were able to move us into the room we booked and provided some additional items & experiences to make up for the inconvenience. The team at the Sofitel went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied throughout our stay. The resort is fantastic and suitable for families, couples & large groups. There is plenty to do (or not!) around the resort or relax at the beautiful beach. Overall we had an amazing time and I thank the team at the Sofitel for listening to our concerns and acting accordingly to ensure our stay was a memorable one.

The check-in process took some time. We had 4 children under 8 that had been in transit for close to 12 hours and needed to check in quickly and it took a bit longer than it should have.

I booked the 1 bed room villa with private pool and it was exceptional very comfortable and spacious, the private pool is amazing. the resort itself is very beautiful and well maintained, the beach was also amazing and relaxing. also liked the various facilities, the club , Gym , pools for all ages. the stuff were very helpful as well. when I checked in I first got a villa where the pool was visible from balconies of other rooms so asked to move to another one with more privacy and the staff were very helpful and moved me to another even better villa.

I booked the full board option but found out it has limited options on a set menu basis for lunch and dinner, not even including drinks so was little disappointed other than that all was perfect.

Great location, right in front of the beach. The staff was super friendly and very helpful.

The smell. There’s a big variety of food, but they all taste bland.

My booking is full aboard.even though I checked in (18/09) at night time. But receptionist still gave a whole set of expired vouchers (breakfast, lunch & dinner vouchers which was expired on 18/09)which is so irrelevant. On the day 22/09 I checked out early waiting for my flight at night, I asked the receptionist can I still use the vouchers for lunch after checking out , twice they answered “yes you can”.. then at 12pm I went to the restaurant (kwee zeen ) .people there said “sorry you can’t use the vouchers , it was expired, you need to go back to receptionist to get a manager to sign the form if you want to use it , it’s a policy.. I was a bit disappointed the level of understanding at the receptionist .

Breakfast in the private area was very good

The sewerage smell was very strong down near the villas where we stayed

The room was great

Checkin was at 3pm and we checked in at 4pm. Food is horrible

Location and nice Pool.

Cleaning service very poor for a sofitel standart. Due to pandemic situation it is understood management reduce numbers of staffs and employees. But cleaning service in Our Room is very very poor. Glasses and Teapot from 30 hours a day before just ignored and haven’t cleaned yet until i rang them. And they did not put standart amenities. I saw dead cicak (small gecko) on the alley from November 13 until the day we checked out on 16th! Its still there!! and many many of dirts along the alley. Feel dissapointed. Hotel facilities are good. But what i wrote here is true my own Experience! My husband said we’re not gonna come again stay at this hotel. Unfortunately, we also did not feel like to pass what we saw to management.. its consuming… no benefit for us. Bad for Sofitel reputation. Good Luck for next!

dirty beach beds, no towels available at beach , restaurents mixed.were bbsdly managed for reservations and bad services had to wait two hours to be serv d, clib lounge was good and efficieny-

Extremely noisy at night - our suite room located right above the beach club and noise from events every night meant we couldn't sleep.
