The staff is exceptional. We were delighted to learn that this hotel is a privately owned venture. They do an exceptional job of making clients feel welcome. However, I feel as though I were mislead by either the Booking.com app or the hotel. I assumed that the room had been paid for on the Booking.com app when I gave them my credit card number. Only to find out when arriving at the hotel that the fees had not been collected. Someone is "pulling" a tricky statement on the Booking.com website; tossing around the word "non-refundable". In any case, I did need to reschedule our visit and the folks at Grass Valley Courtyard were extremely accommodating. I'd stay there again anytime.

My stay at the Grass Valley Courtyard Suites was wonderful! Rooms were nicely located in smaller buildings placed around the property, making for a greater level of privacy. Courtyard and fountain were lovely, parking was easy. The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was terrific! Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, heater in the room was quiet and easy to work. Price of room was very reasonable. Overall, we had a lovely experience and I would definitely stay there again and again and again! Centrally located, and a great cafe right across the street. Thank you so much!

Lovely room with excellent beds and bedding. Very quiet location and good sound dampening between rooms. Breakfast and evening reception offerings, but we are usually out and about at those times. Check in was smooth and my request for a quiet ground floor room was already set up. Coffee in room is a canister of ground, which is yummy and much better for the planet than the usual prepackaged individual servings found most hotels.

For tall people the toilet is very very very very low, like mid shin height. Next time I'll see if there is an ADA room with appropriately sized facilities.

This place is lovely, my room was lrg. and clean including a nice balcolny. Pool and Hot tub were clean. Front desk hospitality is exceptional, you are greated by a dog named precious and a cat named Ti Ti. from 5-6pm they had wine and snacks. best part was that I could walk to main st. to some real nice dinner choices. and a local Dive Bar. I even got a covered private parking spot.

Pool closed to early 10pm it was still hot out, but I understand why. there are some rooms pretty close.

The women that keep Grass Valley Suites going are genuinely some of the nicest people I have met. I started my check-in with the worst scenario: leaving my phone in my uber. I was a complete mess, but Kyra did everything to get in touch with the uber driver and helped me put in a missing item report whilst using her work email and even personal phone. Diana’s humor helped ground me till i thankfully was able to get my phone back the same night. Carol is also a sweetheart and oh so kind! Additionally, the room was spacious and clean, and the bed, very comfortable. There is a teeny cat named Teetee that lounges at the front, and also a friendly therapy dog named Precious that you would be oh so lucky to encounter (except that you might get trapped rubbing her belly for quite some time if you lack the willpower to leave…or in my case, lose your phone and can’t be bothered to do much else except wait in the front lounge) So if you are in Grass Valley, i would 100% recommend staying here. There is a personal touch with the staff that you will not get at a chain hotel.

My husband and I have wanted to stay at this beautiful and charming Inn for a while now. We can’t wait to visit again. Not that far from where we live ~ Napa. We are long time Sierra Starr Wine Club members !!! Thank you for the most lovely time. Ohhhh the room was wonderful ~ the breakfast/made to order omelette ~ was exceptional. Cheers !!!

Everything was super great. The Lobby Ladies were very sweet and recommended places to visit during our stay. Ohhhh and the smiles were fabulous. Not one complaint at all.

The suite was very large and super comfortable. This is by far the best place I stayed in. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, and it just felt so welcoming. It was 100 degrees outside and when we walked in to our room it was nice and cold. The breakfast was good, and the refreshments and snacks in the evening were great after a long day. I will definitely be back here

There wasn't much that I didn't like. But if you want to cook yourself inside the suites kitchen then you will need to bring your own spices etc. The rooms are very clean except for behind the furniture. I had dropped something behind the nightstand, and it was very dirty and dusty.

Friendliness of the staff is always the best part of staying here. Also close proximity to town. Happy hour was also very nice....We normally have your breakfast but we slept through it, unfortunately.

There wasn't much to dislike. But there was a large hardened stain of some kind on the carpet in the room right as we entered. It was really unsightly. Other than that, the room was room-y, comfortable and very clean.

The location was perfect! It was a walkable distance from all of our activities in downtown grass valley. It was a cute town to walk about while also being very quiet during night hours. The staff was very accommodating and welcoming. They made me feel appreciated as a guest. Breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety as well as the complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres. I look forward to stays in the future!

The staff, the location, the amenities, all top tier. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. We loved going down for complimentary. wine and snacks in the evening and made to order omelets for breakfast. The location was also incredible.It was so easy to walk to historic grass valley downtown. The kids had the best time swimming in the pool. We will definitely go back someday.
