Our stay at Hotel Casa Pestagua was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, the service was so exceptional that we felt like the only guests there. Every staff member went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable—I can’t express enough how amazing they were. The breakfast was phenomenal—the best we’ve had at any hotel we’ve stayed at, and it was included in our stay! The pool service was fantastic, with a perfectly heated pool and ultra-comfortable lounge chairs that made relaxing effortless. Our room was absolutely gorgeous—beautifully designed, luxurious, and incredibly comfortable. The entire atmosphere and décor throughout the hotel were stunning. Every detail was perfection! The location was excellent, with amazing restaurants right on our block and many more just a short walk away. The shopping was fantastic, with excellent designer stores nearby. I left wanting to stay longer and can’t wait to return. If you love luxury, the finest things in life, and an unforgettable experience, Hotel Casa Pestagua is the place to stay. You won’t be disappointed! We are already counting down the days until we go back!!

While our stay at Hotel Casa Pestagua was absolutely incredible, there was one small thing that we personally would have preferred—some background music at the pool during the day. The atmosphere was very peaceful and relaxing, which many guests might love, but for us, a little soft music would have added to the ambiance. It wasn’t a bad thing at all, just a personal preference that could enhance the already serene experience. That being said, everything else was so perfect that it truly didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed our time there. We still can’t wait to return!

The staff at Casa Pestagua were all, without exception, helpful, friendly and extremely polite. The service was outstanding and genuine. Breakfasts were delicious with many options and are served in the lovely courtyard. The pool is good sized and provides a calm and cool respite from the Cartagena heat. The rooms are very comfortable. We booked a Junior Suite and were originally put in a two level suite which I did not like but they moved us to a suite on the second floor, on one level, as soon as one became available. The differences in the suite configurations are not clear on Booking so be sure to inquire if that matters to you. The hotel is well located in the heart of the historic district.

Location was prefect. It was in the heart of everything but still felt peaceful compared to some of the more lively streets. Breakfast options were fantastic including incredible fruit platters, breads and pastries and a small chef offering before even taking the order. The menu had traditional Columbia options, typical N. American breakfast options, healthy options and vegetarian options.

There was nothing that I did not like besides not getting to try the main restaurant since it is under renovation. When it is complete, it looks like it will beautiful so we will have to go back!

Hotel of 10!!! The staff couldn't be more friendly, very nice and attentive at all hours, they really make you feel at home. The best breakfasts of our trip, one of the best we have had in the world! (Without exaggeration, it was wonderful, choosing from the menu, not a buffet, we tried almost everything and everything was delicious). Flexible schedule with the pool and gym, very comfortable rooms, fantastic bed. The new restaurant is the same type as the famous Alma, where we were also, you have a very similar menu, everything very delicious, with live music, quieter than Alma, with better service, the same selection of wines and much cheaper! It is worth dining here. If you also manage to book with a good discount, without a doubt, a great hotel, of the same level and almost half the price of the Casa San Agustin. A luxury, lucky to have chosen this hotel.

We had the most wonderful time at Casa Pestagua and the highlight really is the staff, but nothing is a miss here. Big shout outs to Katherine, Nurys, Carlos, Brando, German, Eduardo, Roberto and Luis Felipe - you all went over and above for us and it was noticeable

There wasnt anything we didn't like - you really do get what you pay for. One thing to note for breakfast would be asking specifics around the bread and fruit trays per table to help eliminate food waste

This was the best hotel we've ever stayed at - we had high hopes, and they were completely exceeded. The entire staff is wonderful, so helpful and friendly, and they truly make you feel welcome. The rooms are simple, spacious and sophisticated, and all of the common areas of the hotel are gorgeous with every detail clearly well thought-out. Comfortable pool loungers, high end gym equipment, nice little spots to sit...and the BREAKFAST. So many delicious options, and it's all included with, of course, fabulous service. We hope to visit again in the future, thanks to everyone for making our stay so lovely.

This is a big 10. After 76 countries and many great hotels, this hotel is one of the best we ever stayedm nothing is too much trouble to them. They are nice and welcoming, room was very big, the place is romantic, and much better in real life than in pictures. It has great atmosphere, lounge music by the pool, sunset drinks on some days, minibar is complimentary, and a lot of nice surprises like this. I want to go back to Cartagena just to stay here again. Thank you very much for such a happy weekend.

Some staff at breakfast were not up to the standards of the hotel. I think a bit more training and all will be solved. On the last day we were having a sunset drink by the pool as we had a late flight and we were reminded that "we checked out already" by one of the reception staff. I found it not very nice, even if they apologized straight away and offered the drinks. It is minor things, we will return :)

Beautiful patio, pool and general area as the hotel is built in an old palace. Nice and comfy rooms, super nice staff, great location. What truly stands out is the food - we were told that their cook used to be the personal cook of Gabriel Garcia Marquez and the food is absolutely exceptional. Even for myself, which I have all kinds of food allergies, it was tasty.

Everything was great.

This place is almost magical, you are indulged and treated as a royal the moment you put your first step at the entrance. The staff is super polite and guest friendly with an smile on their faces. A truly amazing location and experience at the heart of Cartagena. PS: The front desk team was exceptional, and Luis the bellboy went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The prices could be adjusted to better reflect local prices and less European standards. Additionally, the restaurant could add more local dishes and improve the overall food quality. Lastly, be sure to come prepared for mosquitoes on the ground floor, although this is not just a problem at this hotel. Despite these minor issues, the location is truly enchanting and a perfect place to start or end your visit to Colombia.

The location was excellent and absolutely loved the decor. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in and loved the added touch of a Toto toilet, double vanity ans Ortigia bath products in our bathroom. The room was very spacious too! Not to mention the staff - simply excellent. Friendly and so helpful!! Everyone from the front desk staff, the waitstaff and the bellman - they made our stay so special.
