We chose the Santa Catalina to stay at before our wedding, and we also did our welcome event at the hotel's rooftop. We recommended the hotel to our guests as well. We had stayed there before in a prior visit to Cartagena and we loved it, the staff are super friendly, the location of the hotel is fenomenal to move around the Old City, and the rooms are very comfortable. We had the best time there, highly recommend! The suite was very comfotable and although there was music at night the room had an Alexa that you could use to play relaxing music that would drown out the outside noise (although the outside music doesn't go until very late either way). The swimming pool is great and the rooftop has a great view. The hotel also allowed us to leave our bags before our check in time, which was very helpful. We are very happy that we chose this hotel for our welcome party, it was fenomenal!

I always stay there on my last night before returning home. The rooftop with a swimming pool is amazing. Rooms are large and very comfy . Location is the best you can get in Cartagena . You can even see the famous Torre Del Reloj. The staff is very friendly and professional.

Recently the upper management decided that you need to install the app and use it to open the door instead of a normal key card . It takes time to install this app and in my case the app didn't work at all . Also when your phone battery dies at the end of the day, you can't use the app to open the door anyway and you need to ask Front Desk for help . I hope they will start using the regular key cards again . P

Hotel is right in the middle of the excitement. Room was a good size and the brick wall was a nice touch. There was also a huge flat screen tv in our room that had some English channels. The bed was large and comfy. Sheets and pillows were nice. The rooftop area is nice for some drinks and sunset. I didnt use the pool. The bathroom shower was big and had a separate toilet. This bathroom also had exhaust fans which you rarely find in hotels. Overall it was a good stay here, I would stay again.

The water in the shower literally took 10 min to get warm., it did get warm but it took forever. The pressure was ok in the shower as well. The room was really damp. We turned down the ac a bit and it seemed to help some. The ac was cold....just the room was humid. Also, you should bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. It's very loud in this area.

The situation was excellent, right in the centre of the walled town, with everything such as restaurants, shops and museums etc., etc., easily accessable on foot, which was great. We ate in the restaurant twice and can defititely recommend it. The reception staff were excellent, always attentive and happy to help in any way they could.

The breakfast I found a little boring, although the staff were excellent.

Great location, inside the old city, walking distance to main monuments and tour activities/pick up areas (Isla de Rosario port, chivas tour, monuments tour, old city tours). Walking distance to great restaurants and colonial streets. Great breakfast selection and best dinner on the roof top which has 360 views of the old city.

This hotel blew us away - it has a stunning lobby and could not be more ideally located. You are steps from the beautiful, historic streets of Old Town Cartagena, with everything about a 5-10 minute walk away. The rooftop pool is gorgeous, perfect for grabbing a drink or cooling after a long day of walking around. Though the room was on the smaller side, it had a massive king bed and was extremely comfortable.

If you are easily bothered by noise, this may not be the place for you. Because you are so centrally located, you definitely hear the music from nearby bars and restaurants late into the night. We didn't have an issue sleeping with headphones and ear plugs but it may bother others.

The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of the historic city, the sound insulation is amazing since you can have a perfect night without the street noise. The staff was well trained and always ready to help.

Although breakfast is delicious, there is room for improvement in the speed of the service. (Not major to be honest)

The location was excellent. Very centrally located. Made it very convenient to be at walking distance to all our venues, as we were in town for a destination wedding. Loved that this hotel was near the police station. Made us feel very safe.

For the most part all was great. The only thing that we would have a small complaint, for lack of a better word……is there was no full length mirror in the room. Since we were there for a wedding, we were in need of a full length mirror to check ourselves prior to all our formal dress affairs. Also, the shower was not equipped with any hand rails, making it a little unsafe for older folks.
