You can’t beat the location. The breakfast is terrific and the staff serving the breakfast was kind and helpful.

The room we chose didn’t look like the photos. We had no windows. The front of house staff was mixed when it came to being hospitable. Some were very friendly and the last person we had barely cracked a smile. We understand it’s a hard job but friendliness goes far.

The hotel is beautiful, well cared for and historic. Lovely decorations and greenery. The breakfast service was very fast. Excellent staff.

A few things about breakfast were disappointing for us: you could not get toasted bread. The yogurt was a drink, not our preferred type and no granola. We had a street facing room that, although the doors were quite soundproof, the taxis LOVE honking their horns any time, day or night. The water in the bathroom sink seemed to stop, mostly later at night.

The location is excellent. Right in the heart of the old part of the city. The staff are all incredibly kind and welcoming. The ambiance is beautiful, better than on the photos. Our room was so cosy, old style, lovely. Everyone who works here was helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The staff at the reception helped us book our next stay on Rosario Islands and gave us advice how to get there. We are truly thankful.

The only downside was the noise from the street. At one point during the night some cars kept pushing the horns for about 5-10 minutes, and two hours again. But that’s the location we asked for, we just didn’t expect it. Also, our room didn’t have a window so we were a bit surprised but later it turned out as good because we slept so well without light. WiFi stopped working at one point but when we informed the staff, they reset the router and it worked again. So that was solved pretty fast. The tables at the restaurant were all shaky so we had to be careful not to spill anything, but the delicious food and kindness of staff made up for it.

Breakfast was wonderful, with good food and very friendly and attentive staff serving freshly prepared choices at tables in the hotel's courtyard. The location, right in the midst of Old Town, was perfect, and quite reasonably priced.

The hotel had quite a few issues with electricity a couple of the days. One of the days it was out from morning to evening, knocking out air conditioning (a challenge in the tropical climate) and WiFi. The A/C was a bit difficult to regulate for comfort, too. Other than that, however, no complaints.

The location location location was perfect!!! Can’t express it enough!!! We had a room with a balcony and we loved loved it!! The staff was very very kind and helpful . I highly recommend this place and the value was grreeeat!! The only thing I would say is don’t choose this place for the pool (it was not very clean and seemed uninviting also the hammock in the picture above the pool was not up) but other than the it was amazing!!!

The property was in a great location of the Walled City and next to everything. This made it easy to move around. It was facing the street though which was busy each night and a little loud. The hotel had a beautiful old charm to it and the staff were very accommodating. They were doing some renovations while I was there which was a little annoying since they would start by 8am and it loud. Which I knew about this beforehand. But a good stay overall.

Hotel was ok, nothing special but really ok. Adequate to the price. They have lift for the luggage so it is great. Good location. In my room was quiet. Was on the 3rd floor with tiny window on the courtyard side. Breakfast ok.

The room needs a bit of renovation. Bathroom was small and also old. I was there one night. I suppose to daty two, but the reception made a mistake in my reservarion. So after few days, when I get back to Cartagena, I stayed on the street without a room.

Great location in the historic centre of Cartagena. Lovely hotel with a small pool (good for cooling off in the heat). Breakfast (eggs, fruit, juice, coffee etc) was good, except for the bread, which was of poor quality. We loved eating breakfast in the patio next to the pool. Staff were friendly and helpful.

It was noisy at night - car horns, people shouting etc. Maybe this is unavoidable in the centre but some historic hotels do manage to soundproof the windows better.

Excellent location within the old town. Very nice room, we booked a room without windows but it was still a really lovely room. Good air conditioning. The breakfast was basic but they gave you a lot of choice and a yoghurt drink which was really nice.

The pool looked really nice and made the place look good but it was right next to the restaurant/reception so it wasn’t very private.

Lovely hotel, quite a historical building and beautifully decorated. The staff were very friendly and professional. The room felt always very fresh, even without the air conditioning on, fantastic when arriving from the heat outside.

A bit of noise coming from the streets since you are right in the center. But still I managed to sleep ok probably cause I was too tired from the heat in Cartagena.
