Comfortable, large room in a motel. It was a nice surprise that someone came in and topped up the toilet roll, and replaced the towels we had used and put the air con on for our return. Just off the main highway so easy to find with lots of diners and a couple of supermarkets.

There is some noise from the road in the mornings but it didn’t bother us. Air con is very efficient but quite noisy so we used it to cool the room down and then turned it off overnight.

Owner is a lovely fellow, friendly and efficient. Place is immaculately maintained. Rooms made up every day, spotless in all aspects. In-room fridge adequately cold. Heat/cooling worked well. Parking very good.

I wasn't expecting the Ritz, and it isn't. It's a perfectly lovely motel that is a practical stay for someone on a budget wishing to visit Jasper (a bit of a haul to the actual town of Jasper, but not bad to the park entrance, and what a beautiful drive!) or for anyone visiting or working in Hinton or the surrounding area.

The room was very clean & the bed was comfortable. The man at the reception was friendly and explained easily where we were to park. The room and surroundings were quiet & wifi was fast.

The room had both window and door open to air the room out, once we closed the door, we had to leave the window open as there was a strange smell in the room, like an over powering disinfectant type smell. And with having the window open, we had to leave the curtain to the side to get fresh air in, and the light on the outside of the building didn't go out until quite late.

I've stayed at this motel 3 separate times during two road trips to Canada. Location is nice, just outside Jasper, without the prices of staying right in the National Park. Hinton has it's own attractions, specifically the wooden "beaver boardwalk" which was beautiful for an evening hike. Place is privately run by a very polite owner. I asked if they had room last minute and he put me on a waiting list and said he could notify me, and sure enough, I was able to stay for an extra night. I always prefer the small privately run motels over the large chains, due to the personal touch and better individualized service. I'd stay at Pines Motel again when I go to Jasper.

Front door and cleaning staff were very friendly. Even though the building looks dated, you can tell the owners care for the business. We got a 2 bedroom suite. It was rennovated and very clean. Mattress and bedding were comfortable and soft. The shower was AMAZING with lots of water. In a very quiet location. Looking forward to staying here again

Nothing. Everything was good

The room was really nice, clean, & heated floor in the bathroom was a bonus. I liked the decor and the view was spectacular with the way the room was situated. The only issue I had was room was very hot. As I did not mention it to the front desk so not fair to complain without giving them a chance to manage or fix.

The air con really did not manage the heat but again I did not bring it to anyone's attention.

Room was very clean, Smelled good, very easy access. Great shower and washroom.

Says queen room. Was told it had a queen bed by the hotel staff but it was only a double size. Deadbolt couldn't be locked from the outside. Only the handle. Didn't like to leave our things in the room alone with such poor security. Bathroom door was badly warped and wouldn't close. Door handle locks automatically. Super easy to lock yourself outside. $200 for the night after taxes

Pines Motel is amazing! We didn't realize there is a timezone difference between B.C and Alberta. As such, we were going to arrive one hour late to check-in. After we called, the owner stayed late to check us in and was super friendly. The room was very clean. It was cleaner than the chain hotels I usually stay at. Driving into Jasper, I got to see the amazing view everyday. I highly recommend Pines motel for the friendly and exceptional staff and cleanliness.

The staff was uber friendly and genuinely seemed concerned with your satisfaction, all while being very friendly with making you feel welcome and they're appreciative that you chose their Motel. Property was clean and tidy. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud.

Sound caries through the walls and floors easily.

Great price and the room was exceptionally clean!!! I’ve stayed in other hotels that were half as clean and comfortable for twice the price!!!

There was no blow dryer in my room (I didn’t ask at the front if they had any, but they probably would have if I had asked as they were very friendly)
