The hotel is superbly located, just in front of Uppsala Centralstation, literally 5 mins away from the train connections to Stockholm, all of the city busses, and walking distance from everything you'd like to visit downtown. The ICA supermarket is inside the same building (and even can be viewed from the lifts and through the windows of some of the rooms). The rooms are reasonably sized and quite comfortable (even though anyone travelling with large luggage might struggle a bit when it comes to unpacking). There is direct lift access to the undeground parking. The staff are friendly and responsive and there is a comfortable lobby bar with drinks and a few vending machines with snacks on the ground floor if one gets peckish at any time. The breakfast is quite good. The wifi is with a excellent speed and we had no issues with it.

The AC is a bit "special" to configure, and it was a bit chilly at some points in our rooms, if not under the covers (December in Sweden, still), but I shoudl admit that we did not consult the staff on this point. Also, if you are a smoker - it's better to check to other Best Westerns in Uppsala, which have a more private, fenced area in front (it's a busy street outside the main enthrance and you'd feel a bit guilty among the crowd). Very minor point, which I can't really complain, but it's reasonable to mention :) We had an excellent stay otherwise.

Best Western Svava was exactly what I was looking for during my work stay in beautiful Uppsala. It's location is excellent, walking distance from the train station, but not noisy at all because of it. Rooms were very clean, room cleaning service upon demand, and mine received lovely natural light or else I could enjoy the greenery that surrounds the hotel block. Breakfast was generous, coffee excellent, including tasty and fresh examples of local breakfast delicacies.

Excellent location, very friendly staff, nice and exceptionally clean room. Despite being the inner room, it still had some natural sunlight, and it was very quiet in the evenings and nights. The breakfast was awesome, not a million choices but sufficient, and the food was of very high quality. It had a very convenient (paid) parking option available with entrance to the hotel from the parking garage. Free coffee and a nice lounge near the entrance with options to buy snacks. Also, a grocery store is in the same building.

The hotel is clean, functional and in the perfect location. The breakfast is delicious; plenty of selection and the staff are always friendly at breakfast. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The hotel even has a comfortable guest eating area with all you need, where you can eat a meal instead of eating in the room, we used the area a couple of times during out 6 night stay. The Mall under the hotel is perfect giving you acces to all you need and more.We stay every year and we are always pleased. Thank you.

Great location close to centre, river, and railway station. Very friendly and helpful staff. Secure luggage storage available after check out, and before check in. Comfortable and quiet. Ideal for business travel. Breakfast is fresh and great choice. Log-fire wallpaper was a nice touch.

The toilets are locked with key-pad access. Very odd. They lock the toilets here better than they lock their bicycles. Thieves don't steal poo!

This is the second best place I love to stay because its staff are friendly and always helpful. The place is always worth the money paid for. The cleaners are always on the roll and they clean with professionalism.The cleaners would go an extra mile to ensure that your needs are met, especially the lady cleaner from Kenya. I was extremely impressed by the professionalism shown to me by one of the receptionists by the name Malik. The people at the breakfast section are not forgotten anyway, they are always on their feets making sure that every guest left with a smile and with a fully loaded belly. Staying at this property is the best thing you could wisely do in terms of spending your money.

My only wish is if all the beds could be one Single double bed that would definitely make the property exceptionally best leading hotel in Uppsala .

I paid £134 for a two-night weekend stay in September. The hotel is directly opposite the railway station, so a good, central location. It is next to a shopping centre with a large supermarket and other shops, so handy to buy takeout food. The room was fine and the shower room larger than some I’ve been in recently, so no need to turn and twist when having a shower or using the toilet. The price included breakfast which was a good choice of food and hot scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. The hotel will also do a takeout breakfast if you have to leave early. All in all a great price – I recently paid more than £134 for one night in a Hamburg hotel which was in a terrible area – particularly as Sweden is not a low cost country.

The staff were welcoming and recommended places to visit and restaurant's to eat at. The room was clean, and the breakfast was good A good central location to explore Uppsala and to ride the narrow gauge Upsala-Lenna Jernväg

The door between the hotel basement and the underground car park could not be opened. This meant carrying the suitcases along the pavement outside which was not ideal. More concerning is that this is a fire door on an escape route.

The location was excellent-right by the central station and shopping streets. Our room faced an atrium over a grocery store and it was extremely quiet at night. The bed was very comfortable and the room was small, but met our needs.

The bathroom was very small and water from the shower would spill out onto the floor. The breakfast is good by Scandinavian standards, but limited by international standards.

The breakfast was amazing!! The hotel itself is not so modern in style but the rooms have everything you need. The bed was very comfortable and the curtains really nice block any shade that may come from the outside which i was worried about upfront due to long days during Swedish summer. I really like the lights on the bed

Despite being clearly very clean, the room had a weird smell and it was not possible to open the window. The bedsheets were a bit warm for the time of the year so i had to sleep without them. The TV had a digital clock which can't be turned off and its light was quite intense since the room was so dark otherwise. That made it a little more difficult for me to sleep. Furthermore, the shower doors don't prevent water from passing under it 100% so it can get quite wet when you finish showering.
