I chose the hotel because I think it is a good value-for-money choice located close to the station. For me the location was important, and I wanted a medium standard hotel. I knew the hotel already, so I knew what to expect. The hotel is clean, the breakfast is great, the staff is friendly, and the price is ok. I would though not recommend the hotel if you are looking for a nice view. When you look out of the window, you realize that you are in the middle of a supermarket. But if you mainly are looking for a place to sleep, a bathroom and a good breakfast for a reasonable price, this is a good choice!

Excellent breakfast, healthy and also in Swedish style. The room was nice, we traveled with 2 friends, the beds were separate but together, but there were two blankets, so great. The hotel is right next to the station, it's close to everything on foot, so great. Right next to the hotel there are groceries that are open even on Sundays.

It was a bit of a culture shock that you can't buy wine in a regular grocery store, so you have to find a specialized store selling alcohol, or go to a bar, but they close early. The hotel reception is not 24 hours, so if you want a drink when you arrive late, you're out of luck. But you can adapt to that :)

The hotel is superbly located, just in front of Uppsala Centralstation, literally 5 mins away from the train connections to Stockholm, all of the city busses, and walking distance from everything you'd like to visit downtown. The ICA supermarket is inside the same building (and even can be viewed from the lifts and through the windows of some of the rooms). The rooms are reasonably sized and quite comfortable (even though anyone travelling with large luggage might struggle a bit when it comes to unpacking). There is direct lift access to the undeground parking. The staff are friendly and responsive and there is a comfortable lobby bar with drinks and a few vending machines with snacks on the ground floor if one gets peckish at any time. The breakfast is quite good. The wifi is with a excellent speed and we had no issues with it.

The AC is a bit "special" to configure, and it was a bit chilly at some points in our rooms, if not under the covers (December in Sweden, still), but I shoudl admit that we did not consult the staff on this point. Also, if you are a smoker - it's better to check to other Best Westerns in Uppsala, which have a more private, fenced area in front (it's a busy street outside the main enthrance and you'd feel a bit guilty among the crowd). Very minor point, which I can't really complain, but it's reasonable to mention :) We had an excellent stay otherwise.

Best Western Svava was exactly what I was looking for during my work stay in beautiful Uppsala. It's location is excellent, walking distance from the train station, but not noisy at all because of it. Rooms were very clean, room cleaning service upon demand, and mine received lovely natural light or else I could enjoy the greenery that surrounds the hotel block. Breakfast was generous, coffee excellent, including tasty and fresh examples of local breakfast delicacies.

Excellent location, very friendly staff, nice and exceptionally clean room. Despite being the inner room, it still had some natural sunlight, and it was very quiet in the evenings and nights. The breakfast was awesome, not a million choices but sufficient, and the food was of very high quality. It had a very convenient (paid) parking option available with entrance to the hotel from the parking garage. Free coffee and a nice lounge near the entrance with options to buy snacks. Also, a grocery store is in the same building.

The hotel is clean, functional and in the perfect location. The breakfast is delicious; plenty of selection and the staff are always friendly at breakfast. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The hotel even has a comfortable guest eating area with all you need, where you can eat a meal instead of eating in the room, we used the area a couple of times during out 6 night stay. The Mall under the hotel is perfect giving you acces to all you need and more.We stay every year and we are always pleased. Thank you.

Location was good - close to station, supermarket and shop. Room was comfortable and a good spacious size. Breakfast was also really good.

Lack of contact with staff as everything pushed to be done digitally with check in which is increasingly common in Sweden and depressing. Room really needs a fridge and the bathroom door had a really loud squeak which woke everyone when anyone used the toilet in the night - easily fixed with some thought.

Great location close to centre, river, and railway station. Very friendly and helpful staff. Secure luggage storage available after check out, and before check in. Comfortable and quiet. Ideal for business travel. Breakfast is fresh and great choice. Log-fire wallpaper was a nice touch.

The toilets are locked with key-pad access. Very odd. They lock the toilets here better than they lock their bicycles. Thieves don't steal poo!

The variety of food and freshness of the breakfast was perfect. There was delicious coffee with all the options for creams. There were many options accommodating gluten-free and dairy-free diets.

The space to pick up breakfast was tight and when everyone showed up at the same time there was a bit of a wait and back up. The tables were also close together and only a few options for larger families.

Great location next to the train station, short walk to castle and main church, restaurants and bars - but still quiet! Spacious room with clever solution for extra beds (bunk beds that fold into the wall), everything was very clean

Breakfast room was a bit squeezy, interior bit outdated, access to parking garage was closed which meant you always had to walk around the block with all your stuff
