Large well-appointed, comfortable room, and despite overlooking a road it was quiet. The public rooms were welcoming and comfortable and we especially enjoyed the outside seating area. All the staff we engaged with were helpful.

The breakfast experience on both mornings. The food was very good, however the service was painfully slow and the small buffet table was not replenished when it needed to be. For example, the juice jugs were empty, as were the yoghurt and compote bowls, and there were hardly any croissants. Also it took around 15 minutes for hot drinks to arrive after they had been ordered, and on the first day we asked how long it would take for porridge to be served and were told 5 minutes. However, it actually took 15 minutes and arrived at the same time as the cooked breakfast.

We chose this place to treat ourselves after a very stressful period and it exceeded our best expectations. The room was quite (we had specifically asked for a quiet room), comfortable and it looked beautiful. The food was delightful (we had one lunch, 3 dinners and all the breakfast here) and the staff was great. Highly recommended! We would happily stay here again.

I think the only negative of the room was that it didn't have great air circulation, with just one window, so it was a bit stuffy. But there was an electric fan in the room, for those who might need it.

The Reception staff was extremely welcoming and professional from start to finish, and they let us visit two rooms before deciding which one would be easier to access by our elderly mother. The hotel is very easy to find, and is convenient as it has its own car park. It has a very cosy indoor bar area, as well as an outdoor eating area which is very lovely. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms modern and comfortable too. Our dinner was very good.

It was hot when we were there and the rooms could have benefited from AC, as it was difficult to sleep with open windows: one room was giving onto a busy road, the other onto the outdoor dining area, and the window in one of the rooms could not be lifted...we were there for one night, so we used the fans, but it would have been uncomfortable for more nights. Fans are ok but noisy unfortunately.

The location was excellent and I loved the building. Parking was easy and the staff on reception were friendly and helpful. The evening meal was good with prompt service. I had a courtyard double room on the ground floor. Pleasant with everything you could need.

I had to keep my blinds partially lowered, as otherwise people sitting outside could have seen in. Likewise from the car park at the other side. Made things a little dark! Breakfast was nice but service very slow. No semi skimmed milk, only whole, which seemed strange in this day and age. No wardrobe in room, only hangers on a rail directly above the surface where the kettle was located. A little odd. The biggest issue for me was when the housekeeping staff burst into my room in the morning when I was using the bathroom. It wasn't checkout time, so there wasn't really any excuse for this. Then, when I was trying to leave, they had their cleaning stuff and hoover right in front of my door- a health and safety hazard. I did mention these issues at reception on my way out.

Really beautiful building, spacious room with great decor, everything you need and more. Lovely bed was very comfortable, room was huge, rainforest shower. Breakfast was delicious and staff were helpful and friendly. Lovely outdoor areas too, I’d love to come back for leisure instead of business.

My door was ajar when I got to my room around midnight and lights were on and radio playing, scared me a little as I though my room had been double booked, luckily my colleagues were there to check the room for me, they put the radio on for ambience etc, so all was fine. Breakfast was a little slow, which is fine but would have liked my coffee sooner!

Beautiful room, very clean and comfortable

The restaurant was very disappointing. We made a reservation for Sunday evening on arrival and was informed they had been really busy and if we wanted the roast we would need to pre-order, we did so as there was only 4 other options on the Sunday menu once the roast had gone. On arrival at the restaurant we waited at the door to be seated and was ignored by several staff, eventually I got someone's attention and we was seated. We was then ignored again and had to ask to order drinks which then didn't arrive until after our food and us prompting the staff we hadn't had them. Food was luke warm when it arrived. Breakfast was a similar experience, ignored by staff, waited for luke warm food. The hotel is beautiful but the restaurant and restaurant staff do not meet the same standards.

My two adult kids and I stayed in the family suite. It was LOVELY. Well-appointed, sweet tea cart, nice extra living space (with fold-out bed). My daughter and I shared the bedroom. The bathroom was clean and lovely/nice lotions and potions and a wonderful rain shower. Comfy beds and yummy linens. SO very CHARMING overall. We ate dinner the night we arrived, and it was delicious - good service, darling dining area - cozy and very pretty/British. The town was not much but we ambled through the sheep meadows around the area and it was serene and so picturesque. Our view out of our suite window was very Cotswold-esque. Breakfast was simple but tasty (they had a power outage that morning) ... and I only wished we had booked another night! Lovely little outdoor "beer" garden area/too. STAY HERE.

Nothing - our stay was as perfect as could be!

Location was perfect. The outdoor dining area was so nicely kept and pleasant to be, as well as the green room and dining room. The staff was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to friends and family.

Loved that we could step out and walk straight away down the quaint road with the shops leading to the church and manor. The peacocks roaming freely added to the magical historical feel and beauty of England.

The ensuite room ( number 9 ) was very cozy, with a really comfortable bed and came with an enormous bath.. there was an old school radio ( but only appearance wise) and the " smooth chill " radio station put the cherry on the cake.. it was really a relaxing stay. The staff were very kind, polite and helpful. Most importantly there is something that is really worth it to highlight... the food quality...it is extraordinary.. during our 4 night stay we have had the opportunity to try several meals from the menu and never disappoint us it was always very delicious.. price wise it is mid range but the quality and the taste of food was worth every penny..

Nothing what is worth it to mention

Overall very professional and friendly staff (except for situation mentioned above). Cosy and tastefuly furnished room. Nice touch the complementary prosecco and beer. Food is just outstanding, the sunday roast 10/10, totally worth to dine at the restaurant. Free parking very practical.

Room tends to be very warm and as in our case it was on a busy street, it can be a bit loud (the fen provided helps to cool down the temperature and avoid opening the window). However, the only annoying thing has been the breakfast situation on the first morning (sunday). Breakfast is served from 8 to 10, we were there at 9:30 and there was almost no food left. We asked for some extra pastries and granola but they told us that they didn't have anything left over. No one took our drinks order, we had to search for the waitress to ask for a coffee which arrived once we were already done with the food. Staff available on the day seemed very inexperienced. Breakfast on the second day was however really good and the staff took really good care so it compensated the previous experience.
