Everything was cool. Staff was kind, view was beautiful. Breakfast was great

unfortunately menu has Beckon, so it is difficult to believe that food is halal. Also furniture is a little bit old and bed is not king size, which is so uncomfortable

Very big room, it’s one of the best things in this hotel. Super comfortable when you have so many space to spend a good time with your family. Evening quite new, nice stuff, very good sauna and all SPA zone. Balanced breakfast with good coffee (choose capuchino there ;) ) For my traveling history was in so many hotel and I can say for sure, that this hotel have almost everything of 5 stars hotel. Super good, I’ll come again! P.S BEST choice for this price if you wanna ski in Shimbulak as well, it’s pretty close to it, about 2 km.

The hotel is in a beautiful spot in the mountains, couple of km away from iconic Medeo ice skating rink. The view of the mountains is magnificent! Hotel offers a great indoor pool with jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. We really enjoyed the pool. Deluxe room is spacious and has comfortable queen bed. The breakfast is very good and nothing can beat a nice meal on the roof top of the hotel with breathtaking view.

As a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids), the original booking we had was for 2 rooms: one with Queen bed and another with 2 twin beds. However, upon arrival we discovered that the twin beds are very uncomfortable - the mattresses are all springy and rugged. After discussion with Front office and Administration we moved the kids to the room with queen bed and had to pay extra. Please consider upgrading all of your twin bed mattresses as it does provide inconvenience for those traveling with kids.

We love the location, you can get really good night sleep surrounded by mountains. It has sauna and hamam and nice pool. Plus breakfast. I think overall it’s good value for money. The rooms are clean, and if something is wrong the staff is quite responsive to resolve them. Even though hotel looks a bit old it has been maintained and renovated. It has got some charm and feels like a holiday every time we go there.

The AC system doesn’t work well. The toilets in the bathrooms must be replaced, as not stable. The bath a bit dirty sometimes and we can’t take baths there. Hate the shower curtains, i think it’s time to replace them with glass doors. The bed mattresses should be replaced too, in some rooms they are really worn out. The restaurant food is overpriced. Not a lot of choice.

Couple of times someone from staff opened the door of my room at night with their keys while I were sleeping, which made my sleep less comfortable.

Great location with the view to the mountains, close to the ski resort. Delicious breakfast and they have amazing restaurant nearby with very good service. Liked the spa area! Very clean.

We had to check out early and couldn't have the breakfast the last day. I saw in one of the comments that the box was provided, but when I asked at the reception the lady said no.

We liked the hotel. Although it is far from the city, for us it's good because the snow-capped mountain view is beautiful. Too bad we did not experience the snowfall when we were there. Staffs are nice and accommodating. They will try hard to explain it in English, otherwise the translator app is a great help.

During our last day, there was no WiFi. If we only knew, we should have brought a local sim with data.

The Hotel was great, the breakfast exceptional. The pool and sauna facilities were nice. Slippers are required and are provided without charge at the pool. The Restaurant of the Hotel has good food. The surrounding area is pretty, ennjoyed stunning fall colours from here.

The room faced highway so there was noise and air pollution.

Excellent hotel between Almaty and Medeu, with a beautiful view on the mountains. The breakfast on the terrace is a very good moment! The buffet proposes a very large choice of meals. The staff is very helpful and professional, they accepted to keep my bags during a 4-days trip in the mountains. The bedroom with the balcon and the bathroom are very large. If I come back to Almaty, I will certainly book a room in the Samal hotel!

Spa and the pool were excellent. Almost empty during working days. Sometime we had it just for ourselves. Breakfast was excellent too. Big choice for any taste. Our double deluxe room was with a balcony and a great view of mountains. Very clear and fresh air compared to the city. About 30-40 minutes walk to Medeu. Restaurant is a bit overpriced compared to some places in town, but the food is delicious. Staff is very helpful, friendly and supportive.

We never received the final bill. It wasn’t clear which items in mini bar were complimentary, and which not, neither it wasn’t clear how much did they cost. Sometimes after cleaning the room, they forgot to provide clean cups. The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows are a bit old and worn out.
