We liked everything! The Rispoli Family team are amazing people. The Rispoli Family made our stay a delight and their help in understanding travel, people, surrounds, treks and tricks was outstanding and always over and above what was needed. This stay at the Hotel Pellegrino was the best experience we have ever had at a hotel. The superb breakfast which was 5 star, the dinners which were exceptional and the wines that are luscious helped. Try the Merlot on the wine list for starters. The room we stayed in was perfect, with sea views and an incredible bathroom and balcony. Praiano was the right place to stay and the Hotel Pellegrino was the right hotel to stay in to understand and travel the area. Much quieter in Praiano which was great.

Truely Amazing on every level If you have stumbled across this hotel in your search for an Amafie escape and are reading this review.. our advise is to Book it now.. you will kick yourself for missing out. From the moment we arrived, everything about this hotel was perfect. The family feel makes you feel welcomed, so personal and full of warmth we knew we were in for a fabulous week. How right we were OMG.. By far this is the best Hotel we have ever had the privilege to visit. Luigi and the entire family deliver a style of service that goes far beyond the meaning of the word.. they put there heart and soul into ensuing your every need is catered for and honestly, nothing is too much trouble.. Alessia your recommendations, advice, care and attention, your ‘what’s app’ hints and tips were invaluable.. Daniela, you are an amazing chef, your menus are off the scale delicious! and although we tried other restaurants in the area nothing compared to your flavours and creations. Your use of fresh ingredients and artistry of your food is 5 star. But even that’s not enough, you also went over and above catering for my wife’s dietary needs while ensuring her experience was equal to my own. Luigi What can I say.. you have a beautiful hotel, a beautiful family and you have a great sense of style! Also thank you for the rides to and from the local villages and restaurants.. we are so appreciative I truly could go on and on about our stay, the room, the decor, the finishes, the little touches, cleanliness, the food, the views, the location, the personal chauffeuring (so many drop offs and pickups simply stating that taxi’s were too expensive) and oh how right they were. We just returned from our vacation and had to give Hotel Pellegrino an incredible review. If we could give this hotel 10 stars, we would — from the service and hospitality to the rooms and décor, everything was outstanding. Alessia was absolutely amazing in arranging all of our accommodations. She helped us book private taxis to and from the hotel, boat rides to Amalfi, and curated each day with the best restaurant recommendations. It felt like having our own personal travel agent. Luigi’s charm and generosity made our trip even more special. He drove us daily to Positano and to the marina, all while sharing heartfelt stories of growing up in the villa and transforming it into the welcoming hotel it is today. Breakfast each morning, prepared by Luigi and his family, was truly the best we’ve ever had in Europe (and we travel a lot!). Every detail was thoughtful and delicious. The rooms were beautifully decorated with local ceramics, making each one unique and special. You can see the love and care put into the design. The views from both the rooms and the dining terrace were immaculate. While the hotel is just outside Praiano and we initially worried about the location, it turned out to be no issue at all. Luigi generously offered rides so we didn’t have to walk on the narrow roads, and Alessia arranged water taxis and private transfers when needed — all seamless. Overall, our stay was pure magic, and we cannot wait to return to this little slice of heaven!

The beautiful property, thoughtful hospitality, and ideal location on the coast made this stay spectacular! Luigi, Alesia, Daniella, and everyone at the hotel make it an incredible experience, from their vast knowledge/expertise of the area to their attentiveness, they incredibly cover it all. The rooms are so beautiful (we had 2 and both were tastefully designed and spotless). Local drop off makes it so convenient to visit nearby places. The breakfast is phenomenal along with the views. I’m very particular with where I stay as an avid, discerning traveler and the fact that they made it to my list of hotels I’d stay in again means they’re spot on. Highly recommend!!

Luigi and his family run this place with an incredible dedication, hard work and love and the result is that guests have a VIP 5-star experience from the beginning to the end. We felt really looked after and that's exactly what we needed in our honeymoon. Luigi always makes himself available to drive you to Positano or anywhere nearby, regardless of short notice. Alissa does a truly flawless job at the reception, so helpful with quickly providing information and arranging any services we needed. Daniela picked us up when we got lost in Positano lol she's such a sweet girl and one of the main responsible for that rich and delicious breakfast we had every day. Our room was also flawless - classy and everything was new. Comfortable spacious bed, and other details that make a difference, like the cool lights in the shower or in the closet. Beautiful view from the porch. The cleaning service was simply perfect. This is definitely a great option for those looking to explore Positano for the easiness of access and surely the best service you can have in the area.

This location is the best in Praiano… it sits right at the beginning of the road leading into town!! You can see everything from here! The boutique family run hotel was amazing. Luigi and his family have something truly special. I will never stay anywhere else when I come to the Amalfi coast. No need to worry about transportation as Luigi is your personal driver, his eldest daughter is your personal concierge can book tours, dinners, and activities for you! They also have a delicious restaurant where they spoil you rotten with breakfast it’s included and the dinner is top-notch their youngest daughter is a highly trained chef!!

Everything was exceptional

I cannot say enough about this hotel. You will not find another place where you are treated like family and the owner himself drives you to and from your nearby dinner reservations. Luigi, his wife, and his daughters make this place so special with their kindness, generosity, and above and beyond service. The food is excellent and the breakfast that they prepare personally for you cannot be matched. Freshly baked croissants, pastries, eggs however you like them, bacon, smoked salmon, fresh fruit everyday, cappuccinos made to order, freshly squeezed juice, yogurt, pancakes, crepes. They really go above and beyond to ensure your experience is perfect. The rooms are spacious, immaculate, and the views spectacular. The property is meticulously maintained and gorgeous. Thank you Luigi, Alessia, and Daniella for your kindness and hospitality throughout our stay at Hotel Pellegrino.

Nothing - it was perfect!

This is a heavenly, intimate hotel where the family owners attend to every details to make your stay perfect. The bed, the exquisitive linens, the understated but beautiful decor, the enormous handmade delicious breakfast, the laundry service (prepare to go through a lot of outfits in the middle of summer!), the convenient shuttle service into the village of Praiano or to nearby Positano, and most of all the quiet warmth and kindness of the family owners were unparalled in my experience of staying in many four star boutique hotels around the world. The building is very attractive and somewhat unusual from the outside, beautifully covered in flowering vines and built into the side of the hill. The interior was among the mostly sparkling clean I have ever enjoyed with the decor that is calming and elegant, complete with interesting art and objects that capture the local flavor without being busy or distracting. It's a short walk to the center of Praiano and the stunning church and square and a quick drive to Positano. The breakfast included a stunning array of delicious items: a huge tray of pastries, yogurt, fresh orange-carrot-lemon juice, coffee made to order, crepes, a large bowl of fresh fruit, bread, eggs made to order with bacon, cheeses and avocado, all served on the terrace looking over the ocean. Getting around the Amalfi Coast is a bit logistically challenging, but Alessia was ready with assistance at every turn, organizing our transportation for last-minute requests, and most memorably, mapping out our Path of the Gods hike so that it was just the right amount of challenge with a taxi waiting at the end to bring us back to the hotel. She honestly was there every single time I came to the desk!

LOOK NO FURTHER, BOOK NOW! At Alessia's request, I am reviewing our stay here only at the end of our 3-week Italy road trip. Having stayed in many different locations, I can say, without a doubt, that this has been our most exceptional experience. Beyond the fascinating views, perfect location, beautiful rooms, amazing terraces, the truly outstanding highlight of this place are the people. They have made our family of 5 (4 adults, 1 child and one dog) feel like royalty, with care, kindness and impeccable communication: from securing safe parking on-site for our huge car on the Amalfi coast, assisting us with heavy luggage, booking for us an unforgettable private boat trip to Capri (with our dog!) complete with transfer, coming to pick us up at a time of our choice from Positano, advising us on our Amalfi itinerary, giving us restaurant recommendations and even checking parking garages availability for us - they just went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and as comfortable as possible. We were personally served each morning with the richest, most delicious breakfast we've had in all of Italy, with local fresh produce, amazing coffee, and huge variety of dishes. We had dinner one evening on the beautiful terrace overlooking the coast, an experience I would definitely recommend. They even researched ways to have our luggage delivered in another Amalfi town via boat, so we can travel without the worry of a car full of luggage. And to top it off, on the day of departure, they pulled their own car in the street to allow us to exit the parking safely on the crazy Amalfi roads. This is THE PLACE to stay on the coast and I would choose it for my family again and again! Thank you for an unforgettable stay, you've set a very high standard of excellence of what hospitality should feel like.

When we pulled up to the hotel, after a short drive from Sorrento, it was like pulling up to something from a fairytale! The whole building is covered in greenery/bougainvillaea. The staff were so friendly and attentive and made everything possible. They drive us to Parrocchia di san Gennaro, where we walked down lots of stairs to Gavitella Beach. They recommended a very sweet free beach, where we swam. We also went with their recommendation for drinks and lunch at Cafe Mirante. I then text them for a lift back to the hotel as the heat was so intense (and those stairs) and they were there within minutes. We adored the food and lack of menus - they just go with what is fresh, local and the catch of the day. The most amazing supper on the terrace, with breakfast there in the morning. We were spoilt with a total feast! Again, no menus, but they just kept brining homemade juice, jams, fruit salads, eggs with bacon and a platter of the most delicious sweet pastries. Our room was beautiful with a little terrace with the best sea views (and AC!). No swimming pool but we didn't mind as we were only there for one night, and you are spoilt for choice with local beaches. 10/10 and we cannot wait to return!
