We liked everything! The Rispoli Family team are amazing people. The Rispoli Family made our stay a delight and their help in understanding travel, people, surrounds, treks and tricks was outstanding and always over and above what was needed. This stay at the Hotel Pellegrino was the best experience we have ever had at a hotel. The superb breakfast which was 5 star, the dinners which were exceptional and the wines that are luscious helped. Try the Merlot on the wine list for starters. The room we stayed in was perfect, with sea views and an incredible bathroom and balcony. Praiano was the right place to stay and the Hotel Pellegrino was the right hotel to stay in to understand and travel the area. Much quieter in Praiano which was great.

Truely Amazing on every level If you have stumbled across this hotel in your search for an Amafie escape and are reading this review.. our advise is to Book it now.. you will kick yourself for missing out. From the moment we arrived, everything about this hotel was perfect. The family feel makes you feel welcomed, so personal and full of warmth we knew we were in for a fabulous week. How right we were OMG.. By far this is the best Hotel we have ever had the privilege to visit. Luigi and the entire family deliver a style of service that goes far beyond the meaning of the word.. they put there heart and soul into ensuing your every need is catered for and honestly, nothing is too much trouble.. Alessia your recommendations, advice, care and attention, your ‘what’s app’ hints and tips were invaluable.. Daniela, you are an amazing chef, your menus are off the scale delicious! and although we tried other restaurants in the area nothing compared to your flavours and creations. Your use of fresh ingredients and artistry of your food is 5 star. But even that’s not enough, you also went over and above catering for my wife’s dietary needs while ensuring her experience was equal to my own. Luigi What can I say.. you have a beautiful hotel, a beautiful family and you have a great sense of style! Also thank you for the rides to and from the local villages and restaurants.. we are so appreciative I truly could go on and on about our stay, the room, the decor, the finishes, the little touches, cleanliness, the food, the views, the location, the personal chauffeuring (so many drop offs and pickups simply stating that taxi’s were too expensive) and oh how right they were. Luigi and his family run this place with an incredible dedication, hard work and love and the result is that guests have a VIP 5-star experience from the beginning to the end. We felt really looked after and that's exactly what we needed in our honeymoon. Luigi always makes himself available to drive you to Positano or anywhere nearby, regardless of short notice. Alissa does a truly flawless job at the reception, so helpful with quickly providing information and arranging any services we needed. Daniela picked us up when we got lost in Positano lol she's such a sweet girl and one of the main responsible for that rich and delicious breakfast we had every day. Our room was also flawless - classy and everything was new. Comfortable spacious bed, and other details that make a difference, like the cool lights in the shower or in the closet. Beautiful view from the porch. The cleaning service was simply perfect. This is definitely a great option for those looking to explore Positano for the easiness of access and surely the best service you can have in the area.

I cannot say enough about this hotel. You will not find another place where you are treated like family and the owner himself drives you to and from your nearby dinner reservations. Luigi, his wife, and his daughters make this place so special with their kindness, generosity, and above and beyond service. The food is excellent and the breakfast that they prepare personally for you cannot be matched. Freshly baked croissants, pastries, eggs however you like them, bacon, smoked salmon, fresh fruit everyday, cappuccinos made to order, freshly squeezed juice, yogurt, pancakes, crepes. They really go above and beyond to ensure your experience is perfect. The rooms are spacious, immaculate, and the views spectacular. The property is meticulously maintained and gorgeous. Nothing - it was perfect!

This is a heavenly, intimate hotel where the family owners attend to every details to make your stay perfect. The bed, the exquisitive linens, the understated but beautiful decor, the enormous handmade delicious breakfast, the laundry service (prepare to go through a lot of outfits in the middle of summer!), the convenient shuttle service into the village of Praiano or to nearby Positano, and most of all the quiet warmth and kindness of the family owners were unparalled in my experience of staying in many four star boutique hotels around the world. The building is very attractive and somewhat unusual from the outside, beautifully covered in flowering vines and built into the side of the hill. The interior was among the mostly sparkling clean I have ever enjoyed with the decor that is calming and elegant, complete with interesting art and objects that capture the local flavor without being busy or distracting. It's a short walk to the center of Praiano and the stunning church and square and a quick drive to Positano. The breakfast included a stunning array of delicious items: a huge tray of pastries, yogurt, fresh orange-carrot-lemon juice, coffee made to order, crepes, a large bowl of fresh fruit, bread, eggs made to order with bacon, cheeses and avocado, all served on the terrace looking over the ocean. Getting around the Amalfi Coast is a bit logistically challenging, but Alessia was ready with assistance at every turn, organizing our transportation for last-minute requests, and most memorably, mapping out our Path of the Gods hike so that it was just the right amount of challenge with a taxi waiting at the end to bring us back to the hotel. She honestly was there every single time I came to the desk!

The views - the amazing view of the water and the stunning wall of flowers covering the hotel, the view at sunset at the dining terrace, the foods - deliciously and professionally cooked and carefully presented; the food portions were very generous; the detailed explanations and recommendations to various places to visit; the pickups from various spots which saved us walking, and finally the genuinely warm hospitality provided by Luigi and his family - it was a wonderful 2 nights

It would have been useful to have something and somewhere to lay out my handwashing - but then I was too stingy to pay for laundry service

I have stayed in a lot of hotels, but this was by far the most enjoyable. First, the decor is unique and breathtakingly beautiful. And the view? Unbelievable. Luigi and his family treats you like their own. It’s so nice that he drives you to nearby beaches. And his daughter is an incredibly talented professionally trained chef! The dinner we had there was the best we had in all of Italy. Show up to breakfast HUNGRY because it is high quality and lots of it. The other daughter at the front desk goes way above and beyond to help you plan where to go and how to get there. She even woke up at 2am to send us off! The location is wonderful. Far from tourist traps, yet right in the middle of everything. We’ll be back for sure! Our three teens loved it, too, and teens can be a tough crowd

Our room didn’t have a coffee machine, but our kids’ did, so it was ok!

Had we known our stay would have been so great, and the family that runs it so amazing, we would have stayed here for our entire stay on the Amalfi Coast (and maybe stayed in the Amalfi Coast for a little longer). We were driven to dinner in Praiano, and to and from Positano whenever we needed. From Positano, Capri, Sorrento, and Amalfi were all easily accessible by ferry. All were easy to get to from this hotel, and it was a fraction of the cost of those comparable in Positano. Speaking of dinner, eat at least one night at the hotel. The view is breathtaking, and the food is better than many of the local restaurants. The breakfast was also the best we had in our 2+ weeks in Italy. Lastly, the front desk took care of absolutely everything we needed and provided comprehensive information on everything we were considering doing. Path of the gods hike, trip to Amalfi, etc (thank you Federico!) I will recommend this hotel to any of my friends and clients planning a trip to the Amalfi Coast, over any other place we stayed on our honeymoon (there were five), and I hope to return soon. Only that we didn’t stay longer.

The staff, who is all family, have literally mastered the art of hospitality. They are the sweetest, friendliest people who make you feel as if you’re the only person in the world and their top priority. They ALWAYS have smiles on their faces and upbeat, positive energy. I could go on and on. The food is next level, the rooms are each individually decorated and all are adorable and exactly what you want to wake up to feeling like you’re in Italy, the view is phenomenal, and amenities are amazing (we literally lacked for nothing). They provide a shuttle service which we used daily and greatly appreciated, and even helped us with options for excursions and making last minute dinner reservations. We booked the hotel blindly, never having been to the area or having any recommendations to work with. And…We COULD NOT HAVE HAD A BETTER EXPERIENCE. Hotel Pellegrino is an absolute gem.

Absolutely NOTHING could have been better.

We had the most amazing stay at Hotel Pellegrino. It was without doubt one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. Luigi and his family catered to our every need. The breakfast was beyond wonderful and we loved the dining experience so much that we ate there most evenings enjoying Genaro’s personal attention. Ales was so kind and even arranged a picnic breakfast for us to take on our 3:30 AM departure! Federico, the concierge, was excellent before and throughout the trip, arranging hair appointments and helping us navigate the Amalfi coast .. nothing was too much trouble. The hotel provides a free shuttle service to beaches, town and into Positano which was invaluable, as the area can be tricky to get around. We hated to leave and look forward to returning one day!
