A little quieter town compared to others , the views was absolutely incredible. The hotel is very cute , it is run by a family , the staff are so attentive they are all so nice, guest was well looked after. Breakfast was great , not too much but not so little. Dinner was incredible , so much food ! It is like going to your grandmas house feel. You will not go hungry in this place anyway. Our room is spacious , clean, bright and the balcony gave sunrise and sunset views. The hotel also offers boat trips to Capri (extra fee) which is convenient you don’t have to travel it is just at the beach below. This town is also close to Positano or Amalfi , bus stop is only across the road. Small like private beach down , it is 350 steps it’s not for the weak , but for space , scenery , peaceful? It is worth it.

Nobody likes stairs , but unfortunately this is Europe. It is 80 steps to go down the hotel , think of it as the stair master in the gym. Although there is an alternative route from the church so you can skip the stairs to go up especially if with a lot of luggage’s which is convenient.

AMAZING VIEWS!! The hotel was absolutely beautiful. Best sunset on the Amalfi Coast. It is much more quiet and relaxing than Positano and it is just a 20 minute bus ride to Positano. Definitely opt for a room with a seaview. The views were the absolute highlight of the hotel! Breakfast was good with lots of fruit, pastries, cheeses and cold cuts.

The dinners were not great. You could tell they were trying to cut costs. One evening our dessert was just a piece of watermelon and the other evening it was two peaches. The salad was the same every evening (tomatoes, lettuce, corn and dressing). We love simple Italian meals but this was just not great. If they would just hire a trained chef they could easily transition to a 4-star hotel! Bar fridge was not working and there was no tea and coffee station in the room.

Stunning traditional, authentic Italian Villa with the most spectacular view! A really nice location in Praiano village, in the heart of Amalfi Cost. The village is really quiet and the bus station to Amalfi/Positano or Sorrento is just outside the hotel! As for our quadruple room was always clean and fresh with a nice balcony overlooking the endless sea! The accommodation was 10/10 with half-board option. The breakfast was very satisfying with a good selection of products and the dinners were really tasty and fresh! They also offer dessert or fruits after the main courses. The staff was polite, kind and always willing to help despite the fact they were very busy this time of period. I think it is a family business and all of them were working hard to satisfy the Villa's guests. *They also organise excursions to Capri or Amalfi town by boat, which is great if you want to save money and see everything in a day. We didn't use this option because we visited Capri and Amalfi town the previous days and we wouldn't do it again. We would take the boat tour for sure! We recommend 100% the hotel Villa Bellavista for the most authentic experience in Amalfi Coast! We are definitely coming back next year!

Hotel Bellavista is a great accommodation option on the Almalfi Coast (especially if you aren’t looking for super expensive and super fancy). The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Everything you needed was in there even a mini fridge and hairdryer. The shower was very powerful. The wardrobe a good size with lots of hangers and bedside lights were warm and cosy. The bed was very large and comfortable. The balcony and view were absolutely stunning. We spent many hours out there reading on the sunloungers or playing cards on the table and chairs. The cleaner came everyday offering clean towels, clean linen, toilet paper and to clean the room. The hotel’s location is perfect for exploring Praiano. It is on a very quiet street just 80 steps down from the road. The street is beautiful (our favourite In Praiano). It was filled with flowers, lemon trees, ceramics in the walls and helpful signs that led down to the beach. From this street you can access 2 beaches. 1 is by the tower and the other past the church and a bit further down with stunning views over to Positano. Both “beaches” are not really beaches but more like pontoons for swimming or jumping off. The first one is deeper and much colder the second one more shallow and easier access for getting in and out. Both beautiful swimming options, the sea is crystal clear. The hotel is situated in a very good location for accessing groceries/shops/restaurants on the road. An incline of only 80 steps brings you to an excellent panini shop where you can take sandwiches down to the beach. Next door is a wonderful bar serving drinks and nibbles with of course an awesome view. A couple of yards up is an amazing ceramic shop, 2 grocery places, a pharmacy, an ATM, a tourist office and lots of bars and restaurants and cafes. There are bus stops up and down the road should you want to explore Positano/Almalfi/Sorrento. We didnt, we stayed in Praiano as we wanted to relax rather than sight see.

I cant think of a single thing. The pool wasnt open when we stayed, I believe it opens in May.

It's a charming family-run hotel. Impeccable view from our room and the terrace. The staff are super friendly and helpful, provided us lots of advices on beaches, where to visit and the local buses. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea was a highlight each morning, and dinners felt like home made Italian comfort food. Although the menu changes daily, after 3 days we were ready to explore some other local restaurants for variety. We also enjoyed the hotel pool, tucked away in a quiet semi-shaded area surrounded by lemon and fruit trees - it's very peaceful and relaxing. The Marina di Praia beach is just about 35 mins walk through the village with stunning views along the way. It's easy to rent beach chair & umbrella for the day, there are multiple restaurants nearby. We didn't stay much at the private beach right under the hotel as there's only a ladder to get into the water, not very convenient. The boat tour organized by the hotel is fantastic, we had a blast, highly recommended. Overall we enjoyed very much our stay. I love Praiano, a quieter and more authentic town comparing to Positano or Amalfi which are full our tourists. Some people mentioned the stairs, but this is Amalfi coast - steps are part of it.

The bathroom is a bit outdated and lack of ventilator.

What a hidden gem this hotel is! After coming from Sorrento and visiting busy Positano this was a welcome paradise we needed! Some mentioned in previous reviews that it’s old school, I say it’s charming with a character. We had a room with sea view and it was spectacular. Clean, tidy and very comfortable beds! The restaurant and the view from the restaurant was so beautiful as well. We had breakfast and dinner included as well which made it easy for us not to worry where we are going to eat since it’s a small town and there are not that many options. The food itself was hearty and wholesome- home cooking style. Breakfast was also all you need. Dinner was two courses but really it was 4! We were leaving absolutely full after every dinner. There is a lovely area to chill with a pool and just 360 stairs down to the sea, which felt private, never busy only few locals - and absolutely beautiful! The best swim I had in Italy so far.

The only minor suggestion is to add umbrella on the balcony to be able to enjoy the view as during a day it has full sun and it’s impossible to sit there until the late hour.

The staff was wonderful, especially Ms. Adele. She went above and beyond helping us with double checking our upcoming ferry transportation. The garden setting, the tiles, the terrace, the lemon trees, everything is so beautiful! We could not get enough of the gorgeous views! We had breakfast and dinner included. The breakfast was very good with a lot of choices, and the dinner included several courses, as it typical in Italy. You were able to make requests ahead of time, for example, our kids liked to eat simple buttered pasta, and also the grilled chicken. We loved our balcony with the view of Positano and Capri, and the Faraglioni at sunset! It is an easy walk to the local church, which is beautiful as well.

We liked everything about the hotel and the location! There are stairs to navigate to get to the hotel from the road, it sits below the main road, and the whole town is built into the cliffs. With significant mobility issues it would be very difficult to stay here (or nearly anywhere on this coast, unless directly on the main road)!

We came here on our first holiday abroad in 1989 and returned in 2025. The hotel is still run by the same family and it was a lovely trip down memory lane . Yes , there are a lot of steps , but you are on the Amalfi coast - it's steep! Our balcony view was stunning. We loved the evening meal on the hotel terrace- traditional Italian style with 4 small courses. We were full every evening. We loved our stay . The owners gave us complimentary Prosecco because it was our anniversary and a small gift when we left .

The outdoor terrace was a great size and we enjoyed lovely views over the ocean.

The bathroom was poorly ventilated and smelt. The mattress needed replacement and we endured an uncomfortable sleep.

View was amazing, pictures don’t do it justice. Considering the location, there wasn’t too many stairs to reach the property which we were grateful for. When we booked this place, we didn’t realise breakfast & dinner was included in our stay so that surprised us and we were very pleased. Room was a little tight for 4 people as well as luggage but we made it work. Room was cleaned everyday & towels changed if needed. Super super close to bus stop 7 which can get you both busses to and from amalfi coast & Positano There’s a private hidden beach below property which we visited each day, it’s a bit of a hike (around 500 stairs) but well worth it, no one was there! Very close to scooter rental place, & local supermarket
