Real Review: This is the perfect hotel when you are visiting the Amalfi coast! Everybody has to visit the Amalfi coast at least one time in their life so that they can say that they have done it. But both Positano and Amalfi have become so overrun with tourists as to be unbearable. The streets and alleys of those two towns are literally clogged with rude tourists. Everything costs twice as much as it should which includes restaurant prices and hotel prices. Located halfway between the towns of Positano and Amalfi is a perfect little town called Priano. Hotel Pino is located there. The hotel has the best possible view of Positano, and is about 3 kilometers away. If you are familiar with the postcard picture view of Positano, that's the view you get from every room and from the pool at Hotel Pino. If you need to go to either Positano or Amalfi, you can take a cab or a bus, or the hotel will schedule a water taxi for you from the beach below the hotel which is the best way to travel. The cost of the hotel is far less than half the cost of a similar accommodation in Positano. The pool is fabulous and also necessary as it is about 400 steps down to the beach. Within a few 100 yards from the hotel on the main road you will find multiple bars and restaurants and grocery stores and merchandise outlets. There is no shortage of services or places to eat or places for cocktails within an easy 5 minute walk of the hotel. The staff is attentive, they are professional, they will provide free parking if you arrive with your automobile, and even though we checked in very late in the evening they were happy to provide us with cocktails and open up the swimming pool after hours. If I were ever going back to the Amalfi coast, I would not search the listings for a different hotel. I would simply book this hotel again without hesitation. These are not complaints just the realities of traveling to the Amalfi Coast. The coast is steep. It is 491 steps down to the beach (I counted). The hotel itself is very accessible with good elevators, but accessibility outside of the hotel is generally not one of the strong points of this part of Italy. Positano is literally overrun with ill mannered tourists taking selfies. But the best views of Positano are not in Positano, they are taken from the balcony of this hotel a few kilometers down the road.

We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the sea and a direct view of Positano. The hotel restaurant is highly rated, and the food is amazing. The daily breakfast buffet offers a good variety. Most importantly, the staff, Rosa and Edwardo, were amazing! They met us upon arrival, assisted with bags, coordinated water taxi transportation, and offered wonderful, authentic local recommendations. The staff was kind and caring and made us feel so special! You will not be disappointed staying here!!

We liked everything. If you are looking for accomodation where you will get excellent staff, fantastic service, great location, amazing views, clean premises, delicious breakfast and dinner (next door) and dipping in the beautiful pool on a hot day - this is the place to stay. The bus stop is only couple of minutes walk from the hotel and very short bus ride to Positano or Amalfi/Ravello. If you are unsure how to get around or what to see/do - just ask the expert Rosa. She is amazing, followed by the rest of the staff. Praiano is small and laid back place which also has many stairs (like Positano) ...but , you do not have to worry about them if you stay here. The hotel is on the main road but the rooms are facing the sea so you don't hear any traffic what so ever. We highly recommend this place.

Il Pino is indeed a hidden paradise and an unforgettable experience! The staff was attentive, friendly, professional and offered personalized service. The hotel was kept spotless, so it was easy to appreciate the Mediterranean tiled flooring adorned by vibrant handcrafted pieces. The restaurant exceeded all of our expectations. The food was cooked to perfection with its fresh and unique flavors in flawless balance, topped off by its inviting presentation. Needless to say, we ate there every night except for the one night that it was closed. Aside from the exceptional and well managed service, we had the impression that the staff were happy to be there. They worked together like one big, happy family and welcomed every single guest with open arms. In addition to all the ambience and lavish food, it’s worth to mention that the prices were more than fair. There is no question that these travelers will find their way back to Il Pino time and time again…

We stayed here for three nights to visit the Amalfi coast. We really enjoyed our stay at Il Pino, everything was perfect and the view from our balcony was exactly as you would have hoped for when staying on the Amalfi coast, with sea views and a view down the coast towards Positano. The staff were extremely helpful, advising us on which buses to catch and recommending itineraries. Praiano is a beautiful village between Positano and Amalfi with a great range of quality restaurants and it is worth a walk around. This lovely hotel itself is perfectly situated in the village with views across the coast and on the road not far from the bus stops. You will really appreciate this after a day climbing up and down steps!! Wish we had stayed longer.

This hotel was absolutely perfect! We were mistaken with location when booking but it ended up being a blessing in disguise. The staff were exceptional, extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to meet our needs and assist in organising transfers and day tours. The team made our stay so welcoming and stress free. Not to mention the breakfast that’s offered was exceptional!!! Ranged from fresh fruit, deli meats, croissants, freshly baked pies and cakes, cereal, pancakes, eggs, ect ect. And the coffee was 10/10! I recommend hiring a scooter to travel to other parts of the Amalfi coast, this is extremely handy. Conveniently they have a bus stop right out front of the lobby too! Praiano was approx 20min scooter ride from Positano. I visited Positano and was grateful I was not staying there as it was extremely busy and expensive. Praiano felt secluded, traditional, much more quiet and not chaotic. It was the best location for what we wanted.

Oww, what a vacation! Staff, foods, good aperol spritz with nice pool and incredible view... I can't say anything bad about this hotel. All staff was very helpful. The room was clean everyday. The guy (If i dont remember wrong, Andrea) works pool bar, the lady works reception... everyone in this hotel are great! Amazing italian cuisine at hotel restaurant (you should try pasta with shrimps)... And the guy named as Vido who works in breakfast was very cool.. We didnt catch any taxi from hotel to naples and he helped us and we had incredible journey with him ahah:) Already miss to hotel and foods... Definitely you should stay here!

The staff were kind and exceptional from the moment we checked. Everything from view, the room, the morning call to remind us for breakfast, the breakfast spread and coffee, the poolside service, the grounds were all phenomenal. me and my sister felt like family and eveyone were kind and helpful. The restaurant is the highlight of my trip! The food was out of this world delicious and the chef, service and staff 1000% amazing! We booked a cooking class for the next day… and it was the pinnacle of my Italy trip and the Amalfi Coast! Simoné the chef is magnificent and spending time cooking with him and enjoy the passion of food, the views, the cooking lessons, and sharing in the wonderful moments of life made this trip Bellissimo! 10/10 would recommend this hotel and restaurant! <3 Saybyc

Nothing! Everything was exceptional!

The location perfect, our room and terrace was fantastic with an exceptional view, the personnel were helpful kind and funny. The bathroom was beautifully decorated and clean to the utmost standard.

The staff at Il Pino went above and beyond to make sure our stay was memorable and comfortable. Upon arrival, Adrian took care of our car and even took the time to make an event of videoing my wife’s reveal of our gorgeous balcony view! Was like a second honeymoon. We ate at the hotel restaurant the first night and it was like being in a movie. Memorable characters, delicious food and exceptional service! Rosa took care of everything for us in making our day trip to Capri. Rosa introduced us to the water taxi service! The absolute best way to get from Praiano to Positano! The walk down to the dock was an experience in itself, but the views of the gorgeous waters and cliffs made it worthwhile. The staff recommended the best local restaurant for our last night of our stay and it was just as delicious as Il Pino! If you are looking for a place that captures the laid back, yet elegant vibe of the Amalfi coast, this is where you need to stay!!!

The shower! The design of the shower if not draining properly would cause the water to overflow! Once we figured it out, it was not a problem.
