The breakfast was terrific because it is customized to the individual guest. The bed was excellent. The bathroom was well set up. Windows were openable, with privacy. The safe was very good.

Shampoo was not provided but there was body wash and hand lotion and a small bar of soap. One more towel would have been nice to have especially when staying multiple nights. The closet space in my room was limited but adequate in my spouse's room - our two rooms were very different from each other in layout, shower size, closet space and room size....mine (#14) was overall much better than his (#12). We peeked into #13 and it was identical to #14.....should have been assigned to us when booking the two rooms so that they were the same.

Phenomenal hotel in the historic district of Braga, very close to many shops, places to see, and restaurants. We had a two level suite with a king bed, living room / sitting area, and two bathrooms - all very clean with nice decor! We stayed 5 nights and chose a rate that included breakfast each day. The food was amazing! Many choices and they were very accommodating to our changing schedule. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special and we applaud their efforts and wish them all well in the future. We'd definitely stay here again if we have the chance to come back to Braga!

Excellent 4 star hotel in Braga. The staff on reception were friendly, professional & efficient. The best thing about this hotel was the breakfast, you have to select your choices the night before and in the morning it is all efficiently brought to your table. Lots of choice such as museli, yogurt, cereals, pastries, fresh fruit, breads, cheese, hams, cooked eggs, bacon, mushrooms, pancakes, honey. The list goes on! The bedrooms are massive, clean & modern. TV had lots of English speaking film channels. Plus they are well sound insulated from outside noise & inside the hotel as well. I am a very light sleeper but wasn't disturbed. Would highly recommend this place as its very good value for money.

Restaurant in the hotel doesn't serve dinner until 7.30pm onwards which is late for us. However this seems to be the norm in Portugal and the food was delicious so worth the wait.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which is perfectly located in the heart of Braga. A big thank you to the staff for accommodating us earlier than the official check-in time. The room was excellent, equipped with everything we needed, and despite the winter season, it was warm and cozy. Breakfast was both elegant and delicious, with a great selection of freshly prepared options timed perfectly for when you arrive. I especially want to highlight the avocado toast – it was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Braga.

The staff are friendly and helpful, The rooms are small but clean and we have the city View, nothing much to see really other than the roof and the street, The cathedral is nearby 10 minutes walk, The square and the old town are about 20 minutes walk, The parking is $_€10.00 and got so lucky to park in the front of the hotel , breakfast is ala carte you bar to check the food you want to eat and they’ll prepare it to you in the time you scheduled it for. the hotel is easy to find. The WiFi is average.

Nothing really that we don’t like we only spent and overnight, we ate dinner, slept, shower, ate breakfast and left.

Staff was incredible. They knew who I was when I walked in and let us check in exceptionally early. Parking was available right outside the hotel door, where they put cones to reserve places for guests (for 10 euros / day). Various staff at the front desk helped with dinner reservations, making me a drink at the bar, taking our breakfast reservation, etc. Breakfast was ready when we came down at our scheduled time the next morning and served flawlessly. Room 3 was lovely - we had 3 of us (all family) so we got the suite that provided 2 beds and 2 baths, one upstairs in a loft and one downstairs. Check-in and out was a breeze, I will definitely be staying here next time I return to Braga!

Honestly our stay, while just 1 night, was perfect.

Super location 2 min from cathedral. We were lucky that we were able to reserve a parking spot just at the front door which was convenient. Personnel was super friendly, and great choice for breakfast, although you were asked to fill out your breakfast choices the evening before. Braga is also a super destination - great atmosphere in the town, easy to walk through with large are that is pedestrian. Also do not miss out Bom Jesus do Monte.

Burgus hotel is a gem. The staff is great, always with a smile. The location is superb, right in the middle of Braga. The breakfast is excellent and served at the table at the time you requested in advance. The personell takes care of the details and are helpful. The rooms are great - and many with a nice view of the city roofs including the Cathedral’s towers. In short, a great hotel. Highly recommended.

The hotel was immaculately presented, it was in a good position. A short walk to the centre and about a 10 minute walk to the railway station on a straight route so easy to find. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was good and the bathroom was big.The breakfast was excellent and we liked the fact that we chose what we wanted the night before so that there was no waste and everything that we ordered was delivered to our table upon arrival. We would stay here again.

Nothing really except there were very steep steps down to one of the windows which may be a problem for some. It was fine for us though.

Great position within the historic centre. There are plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants within minutes of the hotel. Breakfast was great value and delicious. Staff were very friendly and efficient. We booked a car space outside of the hotel, which was very convenient, but there were a few paid parking garages within 10 min walk of the hotel. There was a Roman festival happening when we were in town, which meant crowds of people, but with the windows closed, it was very quiet.

Not much, fortunately and unfortunately for us, the Roman festival attracted every man and his dog to the historic centre. So it was extremely crowded, but on the upside, the festival, including the Roman parade, was fantastic. The streets were full of people in costumes, markets, music, food stalls, and a fantastic atmosphere.
