THe location was super: central and close to the pedestrian area & tourist attractions like the castle and lovely old half-timbered houses. The owners were more than helpful, especially since we arrived later than planned. The lady of the house cooked superb pastries and presented a more than generous breakfast. The owners provided us with helpful tips about the city and its surroundings. The house itself was rustic and beautiful. The cleanliness was impeccable. It was a lovely experience.

There was a marathon event while we stayed there and that made traveling by car very difficult on our departure day. If we had known about that event, we would have changed the dates of our stay by one or two days. Wish we had known in advance...

Wonderful host who was helpful, friendly and always smiling. Good breakfast each morning which he prepared on his own. Use of his extremely clean garage to store our bikes. Beautiful bedroom with large bed and shower. Access to a gorgeous rooftop garden and downstairs garden too. Right in the middle of town with easy walking access to everything.

No parking but easy drop off for luggage etc in the side street and underground parking about 200 metres away. No air con which in the middle of a heatwave would have made the stay even better.

Bulles de Loire is a beautiful historic house ideally located in the heart of Saumur. We had a wonderful 7-night stay. The room was spacious, well-decorated, and spotless, providing an excellent base for exploring nearby sights, villages, castles, and the Loire region. The charming ambiance of the house, combined with its modern amenities, made our stay exceptionally comfortable. The owners, Florence and Christian, were incredibly friendly, outgoing, and knowledgeable about the area. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, organizing bookings for us at local restaurants that turned out to be hidden gems. Their warm hospitality and personalized recommendations truly enhanced our experience. Every morning, we were treated to a delicious breakfast featuring fresh, local ingredients. The attention to detail in every aspect of our stay, from the luxurious bedding to the beautifully maintained garden, was impressive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly return the next time we visit the Loire Valley.

Every now and then you meet the right person doing exactly what they were born to do, and Florence is one of those gems. She has truly mastered the art of hosting, and she turned our stay in her B&B from accommodation into a happy memory. Her warm welcome and attention to detail were impressive, and she really went above and beyond for those of us running in the Saumur marathon, by getting up extra early to ensure we had something in our stomachs, and a beautiful tray waiting for us when we returned. The place is just lovely - beautifully decorated, full of character, good-smelling, and so comfortable. And the location was ideal - easy walk to the centre, yet on a small street so completely quiet. Everything about this place was a delight, and we hope to be back.

Nothing not to like!

The property is wonderful, right in the historic center of beautiful Saumur. Florence and Christian, our hosts, greeted us every morning for breakfast with their suggestions for day trips. We enjoyed our stay and will return next time we go to the Loire valley.

Florence & Christian were the loveliest hosts, knowledgeable about the area and very welcoming. Be sure to ask for recommendations on restaurants, wine tastings, scenic drives, etc. Will be staying again with them whenever we return.

This was such a lovely stay. We were made to feel extremely welcome. The building was beautiful, perfectly placed to enjoy the city and Florence and Christian could not have been more helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast, especially Florence's cakes and very much enjoyed her restaurant recommendations.

Nothing at all

A great location in the hear of the old town, very close to restaurants, the chateau and an underground car park, the Chambres d'Hôte was delightfuly calm, extremely comfortable and elegantly furnished. For their part, Mme et M Lepicier were very welcoming, helpful and attentive.

Breakfasts were super good and prepared with great care. Hosts Christian and Florence are fantastic (Florence may literally be an Angel)

Stairs are a little challenging with heavy luggage.
