Friendly and very helpful staff! Staff always ready to answer questions and provide answers. Good breakfast buffet; restaurant offers variety of food choices and we truly enjoyed everything we ordered.

Our room windows were high and small. Location is beautiful and we advise property to reconsider windows to bring in more natural light and better view.

The hotel was large and well maintained and out of the main bustle of town, so it was also quiet and cozy. The staff were kind and friendly, and we were helped by someone who spoke English. The room was very nice and the breakfast in the morning was well stocked and delicious. There was a massive and gorgeous park right next door which is a must visit! The airport shuttle was easy to book and brought us straight there without any issues.

When I attempted to check in online as provided in a link through booking.com and it did not work, I messaged the hotel to make sure it was ok to check in when we arrived in person. I did not get a response on booking.com from the hotel for several hours. It was actually after we arrived and checked in - it was perfectly easy to do, not using the website did not cause any problems, and the staff were very helpful - but the timing was a little odd. I imagine there’s only one or two people manning the messaging system, so the delay makes sense, but my only suggestion is to have someone check it more often.

The room is spacious, convenient and quiet location as it's close to the airport and far from the busy and loud city center. Staff is friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and service at the restaurant.

They changed the policy, and for some weird reason, it's not possible to connect streaming devices (like Fire TV Stick) to the hotel's Wi-Fi. Despite being a fairly new TV, no apps were made available, so guests are basically limited to local TV channels only. About the room, there is just one type of pillow that goes all the way flat after a few minutes in bed. This is an issue for me and other side sleepers. I often travel to Spain, so I'll look for other options in that area in my next stay. Food at the restaurant is overpriced.

Very high standard hotel ate good value for money. The staff was very friendly and helpful and upgraded me to a suite - which was amazing and much appreciated! Breakfast is pretty good and varied and includes many Spanish delicacies. Location was convenient for me, short ride from and to the airport and IFEMA (and they have a shuttle). Second time I stay here and I would come back again for sure.

The service, food offer and prices at the bar/restaurant could be improved. Also unfortunately no metro nearby - but a beautiful park to walk right behind it, and bus stops at short walking distance.

The breakfast was definitely the highlight of the stay — very complete, varied, and delicious, especially for the price (20 euros). It really exceeded our expectations. The room was clean and comfortable, with well-stocked amenities that made the stay even more pleasant. The bathroom was also spotless. The hotel itself was very clean overall. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful, and both check-in and check-out were quick and smooth. Although the hotel is located a bit far from the city center, it’s very accessible by public transportation. There's a metro station about a 12-minute walk away and two bus stops right in front of the hotel that can take you directly to the center. There's also a park near the hotel, which you can walk through on the way to the train station — it makes the walk really enjoyable.

The journey to the city center is relatively long by public transport, but the hotel is very well connected with both metro and bus lines in Madrid, so it’s manageable. Also, it’s worth noting that taking fruit from the breakfast area is not allowed — I was told off for trying to take 1 apple — although taking coffee to go is permitted.

The room was very nice. Granted, I did go ahead and "treat myself" to a Level room since I was just there one night. No view, but a VERY spacious apartment! Nice king bed, large bathroom with all the necessary items and more. I also had access to the lounge. This was nice as it had breakfast (so I did not have to add it to the cost), evening snack, soda and coffee all day. The hotel also had an indoor pool that would have been nice to use. Staff was lovely. Very helpful when thermostat wasn't working. Also when checking in and out. They also told me how to get a car early in the morning for getting to a tour.

It was winter, but it wasn't that cold. The hotel was pretty warm. I could not make my room cool off - however, the staff was able to come help and did fix it. Even the beautiful outside sitting areas were closed off. Clean and looked like the could be open. But closed off... not something that would keep me away. Just, something that I wish they would consider,

The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. We had an early flight out of Barajas Airport and it is only a ten minute drive away so it was very conveniently located. There is also a fantastic Malaysian restaurant only a 10 minute walk away.

The staff at the front desk were not particularly warm or welcoming (disinterested is the word). We stayed at the Barcelo in Salamanca on this trip as well and the staff on the desk there were much friendlier. Also, just a note that the free shuttle to the airport only runs from 7am so if you have an earlier flight, it's an Uber or taxi (for a family of 5, it was a 30 Euro ride).

Most everything.

Housekeeping. On two different occasions we had two different male housekeepers gave a quick knock on the door then just opened the door and came right in. One of these times i was only half dressed. When I talked to the supervisor about the young male not talking our dirty dishes, she was hostile and tried to make excuses and just plan lied to me. I was polite to her and just thought these guys needed more training. I am old enough to know when someone is lying to me or attempting to cover their ass. The hotel was nice about it and sent dessert to our room at no charge. Just thought you needed to know. Thanks.

The location is excellent - maybe 10 km from downtown Madrid, with a public bus stop right in front of the hotel. The Melia is far enough from downtown to have neighborhood restaurants with local - not tourist - meals and pricing, all a 15-minute walk through a nice park away. The staff was very accommodating and friendly, especially given that we were a very large group. Breakfast was outstanding. Rooms were larger than is typical in Europe. For me the area felt safe and comfortable, but it is a working-class suburb neighborhood; expect crowded buses at rush hour and noisy teenagers at the park.

The only issues were two days that the air conditioning was not working at all, and the remainder of the trip the cooling not working very well - the thermostat was set to 21 C (70 F), but the room never got below 24 C, (76 F) and heated up to 30 C (84 F) on two especially sunny days. This was not an issue in the breakfast are or the conference rooms - I would try a lower-level floor if I am every again in the area, I would go back again, but maybe not in the hottest months. The Internet was inconsistent; good at times, slow at others. Also, some female colleagues reported feeling the park was a little sketchy at night if they were alone. No real issues, just noisy 17-23 year-old boys in groups.

Booked The Level Suite. Ideal for myself and son for a short trip to Madrid for the footbal and some sightseeing in the glorious Spanish sunshine. The Suite was perfect. Huge comfortable bed, working aircon, TV to pass the time, rainfall shower was excellent and a huge space to sit and relax as a lounge. We had access into The Level which was fantastic and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Friendly and apporoachable.

Only small thing is I wish the hotel had a pool/sauna/steam room etc. The gym is great but having the other aspects would be fantastic.
