This is a beautifully run family business and the owners here take a lot of pride, and the thrive on the satisfaction they get from welcoming people into their hotel and attending to their needs. You couldn't ask for more genuine and down to earth people, the facilities are spotless, it smells great it is safe and secure. The rooms are large with plenty of wardrobe and space for luggage. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a spa room and the bathroom was pristine. Decor modern and checking in was awesome and easy.

There is a train that comes past maybe twice a day that might annoy some people. Upon checkout there was non communication and accusation that I can understand in essence, but accusing me of doing something before asking me what the situations reason was unfortunately left me with a bad mental health space . Please be mindful, not every situation and reason for it is what you think, and a calm, gentle manner without ganging up on someone and being angry is a better way to achieve understanding for everyone in the room. This was a personal moment, I wouldn't let it really effect your decision on staying here . Its a great place the I wholeheartedly reccomend to, Travellers and families the most. My son, my sister, and I booked this accommodation to visit a family member in Ashburton, and from the beginning, we were welcomed and looked after. The room is beautifully laid out and had everything we needed.

This is a very small inconvenience, but my only suggestion would be to have a few more shampoo and conditioner sachets because one sachet of shampoo for 3 people is not enough. I did go to the front desk, and they gave us one sachet of shampoo and one sachet of conditioner so my sister could wash her hair the next day, so that was fine! 🙂

The rooms were super clean and modern. The spa bath was a treat and the beds/pillows were comfortable. The room had heat and air conditioning and a television that did not need instructions to navigate. The WIFI was fast. Close to a good restaurant and gas stations but off the main road which was nice.

We would not have been able to use the hob or coffee machine if the owner had not given us a tutorial. Too fancy. Some people would find the trains that past in the night bothersome, but we did not.

The owners Des and Kay were really accommodating, friendly and helpful. We have been in NZ travelling for 2 weeks. They were the only owner/managers who bothered to write to us before we arrived asking if we needed anything special or could they help with anything. ON arrival they upgraded us to a better room based on our needs. And they had no problem us vacating the room an hour later, as we had some important admin things to do with their good WIFI.

Tranquil. Very nice comfortable lodgings in a great residential location. Excellent off street parking. Well maintained apartment overlooking beautiful gardens and a well set up barbecue area. Excellent beds and linen. In addition the proprietor was most helpful; thoughtful and cooperative. We are regular travellers through this area and will make sure to stay at Taylor’s in the future.

Nothing, it was all we hoped for.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to help with luggage up the stairs (as we were in an upstairs unit) and to accommodate our vehicles. Rooms were comfortable and quiet, with good wifi and technology for watching our sports/movies. Grounds were also nice with seating areas and a BBQ.

Shampoo and Conditioner came in paper packets that were awkward to use. Would have been better to have refill containers on the wall of shower.

The motel is in a convenient, quiet location in Ashburton, close to all amenities. Our room was very clean and tidy with everything we needed. There were good quality sheet and towels. Our stay was in mid-winter, so we were happy to find the heat pump was on and the room nice and cosy when we arrived.

The shower was hot but not very powerful. The bed was on the soft side.

Very tidy, clean and spacious room and huge comfortable bed and pillows. Large bathroom too as we ended up with the room normally reserved for disabled people. Very handy to the town centre as well. Even had a proper coffee machine with coffee pods.

There was no tea available other than green tea. Shampoo and body wash lotions were in small sachets and a bit hard to open and use. Plus we forgot it was next to the railroad that goes straight through town which meant a couple of cargo trains coming through the night unfortunately. However these are only small issues as overall it was excellent.

My partner and I enjoyed our one night stay exceptionally and will definitely be coming back! Kay the manger/owner phoned us regarding our time of arrival, our room payment methods and upgraded us to a super king ensuite for our convenience. Kay is super helpful and friendly and was always happy to stop and have a chat! This motel runs with extreme cleanliness comfort and communication. Highly recommended, this family run motel doesn’t disappoint:)

The location was very convenient for our flight the following day. It's an hour from Ashburton to the airport and the motel isn't on the highway, so it was quiet. The room was modern , clean and spacious and had everything we needed as well as a very comfortable king size bed. The hosts were friendly and helpful , we would definitely stay there again. Great value too !!
