Staff were amazing, so polite and efficient. Room is very boutique, style and individual. Breakfast was lovely, with a good variety to choose from. The full English was more than enough to keep you going and very tasty ingredients. Loved the miniature milk bottle in the room, with proper milk.

Rooms were very hot. There were fans provided, but really didn't help cool it down. Their was a problem with the shower in our room number 10 and you could not turn the temperature down and was set far too hot for a comfortable shower. That said, when I made reception aware, they offered an alternative room. The only reason I have not given an exceptional rating, is the cleanliness of both rooms let the hotel down. The main areas, shower, sink, bedding, etc. were very clean, but there was dust accumulating in certain areas which clearly had not been cleaned in a while. The floors also needed a thorough clean. The lighting was also quite dim in both rooms. That said, we would return as thoroughly enjoyed our stay and was good value for the location, service and food

The property was gorgeous- a mix of old & modern. Our room was lovely, clean, with extras such as hot drinks & biscuits. The bed was comfortable. We loved the decor . The breakfast was included in the room rate- a good choice on the menu.

It was a lovely stay , i only have a few things to mention. A bottle of water each would of been nice, in the shower there was only shampoo, no shower gel to use . Breakfast wise- a good selection as i mentioned, but a very long wait- 45 minutes or more , despite the dining room not bring overly busy. Maybe they were short staffed? A few bits were missed off my plate which i assumed they had ran out of . But overalll, a fabulous stay and we would definitely stay here again

We loved every minute of our one night stay at d'Parys, from the ease of making an enquiry by telephone to the beautiful bedroom and good service from all staff we encountered. We loved the quirkiness of our room and the hotel and bar itself. Quite unique but with all the comforts you could wish for. We found all the staff so friendly which made for a very relaxing atmosphere. Our evening meal was delicious and service excellent. There is a great range of beers, wines and shorts in the bar which is comfortable and has a nice atmosphere. Breakfast was good too.

Nothing to dislike.

A gem of a hotel in a leafy part of town. Wonderful large room and a peaceful place. The very best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had and breakfast staff were excellent.

We had to wait a good 10 minutes before anyone noticed we were trying to check in, but to be fair it was during bar service. We felt a bit ignored though. There was mould in the shower and the loo was dirty from not being cleaned properly. For the price I would have hoped for cleanliness going the extra mile, and these aren’t difficult things to sort I hope. The only real problem was a green emergency light in the bedroom - it meant the room was never fully dark and this kept me awake for most of the first night. Once I’d bought a sleep mask for the second night I slept like a baby.

Clean room, quiet, very comfortable bed, slept like a log, on site restaurant plenty of space, good food choice, decent value, especially with breakfast included

“Accessible “ room wasn’t accessible. Had a wet room but no grab holds/shower seat. Treacherous for me. Would have been completely impossible for someone slightly more disabled than me. No bath towel, only hand towel. When I was shown my room, I was not told about code for gate or the access through the side door so I had to phone reception from the driveway once to get out in the morning and had to call again to get inside to return my key (front doors not opened until 8am). No bedside light.

Excellent overnight stay whilst visiting family and a trip to London. Room was stunning, clean and the bed was so comfortable. Room was warm and cozy and great to return to after the trip to London. Secure car parking onsite and bar to relax in. Breakfast included in the price and it was exceptional. Overall room price and breakfast was excellent value for money.

The kitchen closed early just as we checked in at 6pm after our return from London and we had to go out to find food rather than eat onsite which was a shame and a bit of a hassle.

Our 3 nights at d'Parys over Christmas was fabulous. Easy free parking, central location to city centre and parklands and the overall comfort of the rooms was exceptional. All staff were professional and helpful. The food is excellent and we could not fault any aspect of our stay. The bar area is warm and cozy and the ambience delightful. I will definitely stay at d'Parys on my next visit from Australia. There is nowhere better in Bedford.

It was without fault during our stay.

The staff were very friendly, the room was really good. Comfy bed, lovely roll top bath. Very quiet on a night, great night's sleep had. Breakfast was very good and all in with a great price.

The only problem we had was that the toilet seat was broken and very loose and the bottom of the toilet pan was very dirty. I reported this 15 minutes after check-in. I believe someone went to check it, but it wasn't fixed by the time we got back some 6 hours later.

Decent vibe - bar area nicely presented. Great breakfast with friendly service. Easy parking and situated on a nice avenue. Comfy beds and decent shower.

Room was quite odd. Out the back in what seemed like a converted garage. Wafer thin wall with the next converted garage along. May be the only rooms like that and those in the main building are fine. Two coffee packs provided, one caffeinated, one decaff - for two people.

The hotel was lovely the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was cozy and comfortable.

We stayed in room 5, Our room was situated above the kitchen so unfortunately we heard all the noise from there, loud music, crashing and banging of equipment etc! This wasnt so bad in the evening altogether still distracting, but at 7am when the chef started work we got woken up by the persistent opening and closing of the fridge which we wasn't very happy about because of course you don't expect to be woken up so early on a night away from the kids! We also wasn't very impressed with the frosted glass toilet either, not very romantic or much privacy if you need a number two!
