The farm and the cottages were in a fantastic location for us, being a few yards away from some brilliant woods full of birds and wildlife (also in part an SSI). Our dog, BREAGHA, loved it too. Facilities at the cottage were good. We would have liked a grassy garden space at the back door, but we understand that may be coming soon…if so it will be a great addition. Everyone at the farm was very friendly… the lambs were amusingly noisy, the ponies beautiful, the swallows swooping in and out of the stables and barns to and from their nests were a brilliant entertainment, the ducks regular visitors for drink breaks, and the owners nicely helpful and approachable. We plan to return in the future.

Had a brilliant two weeks at this charming farm. The place was spotless, and every corner felt cosy and inviting. James and his family were absolutely lovely – they really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We were welcomed with a fresh coffee and even a little treat for our dog, which was such a thoughtful touch. I’d wholeheartedly recommend this gem of a place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. We are traveling by bike, and before arriving at the farm, we got caught in cold rain and wind, cycling 20 km soaked and exhausted. How lucky we were to stay here! It's an incredibly cozy place, stylish and with all the amenities. We warmed up, dried our clothes, and had a great night's sleep on the softest bed. Hosts were very kind to us and even let us pet the horses living on the farm, which made my wife incredibly happy. We really hope to come back here!

The property and service totally exceeded our expectations. We were greeted with a warm welcome and totally delighted to have the opportunity to be involved with feeding the Lamb’s 🥰 The property was spotless with great facilities. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The property was clean, spacious, had all facilities you needed for an Airbnb. It was in a lovely setting in a farm yard, and I will definitely be staying again.

A minor, minor criticism is a mirror by a plug in order to dry hair from a female point of view. That was the only bad comment I can make.

All the essentials for an overnight stop: very clean, well appointed, comfortable bed and hot, powerful shower.

Slightly remote. Not enough to be an issue and, I suppose, this will be inevitable for a lot of farm-based accommodation. Also, I drove past it a couple of times so clearer signage would be useful.

The farm was a pleasure to stay, such friendly owners very peaceful atmosphere and very welcoming. We loved hearing about their animals and the property and even getting hands on feeding the lambs. Highly recommend staying at upper wood end farm.

Would have like a blind or similar on the back door and kitchen window, as we used the sofa bed in that area

Location was lovely . Accommodation was nice nice outdoor bit to sit

Cleanliness could have been a bit better bathroom toilet especially.

Host was pleasant and accommodation met our needs for a stopover. Fresh milk and cookies provided on arrival.

Not too much of an issue but they do not provide shower toiletries or a hairdryer. Useful to know in advance.
